Actually, the mod was un-installed for the moment. However, Staff is looking into a way for the members to have the possibility of disabling receiving messages on their end.

So far the only ones who have expressed their concerns about the full inbox is only a small portion of the staff group. The normal members have said nothing about it. It's my problem if my inbox gets full. I want it to get full! I've emptied it many times the past few months. It's not like it will bother me. And it's not like someone will contact me about something so important during the few days that it will be full and I won't see it. Even if something like this happens, we still got VMs, to notify the person to make some space.
In addition, there's also the thought (dont kill me >_>) of reducing the deletion of posts. It's too strict currently. Because we all talk about it sometimes and agree that some posts shouldn't have been deleted. I'm not talking about deep discussions but... common logic. I dunno, just an idea.
I am not staff but I am a member and certainly doubt that at a fair level of strictness the inbox would get full just by this feature. Even if it does, what's the big deal lol.

I've brought that up with the team, because I do agree that it has gotten perhaps a bit out of control.

As for Auto PM, we're not abandoning the idea entirely, we're just waiting until there is the option to enable/disable it. Please just be patient in that time.

It's fair enough to allow some time for that. I'm satisfied.

Oh it was I didn't know, well it's good the staff is looking for a way for members to disable the autopm mod if they so choose, at least the staff is trying to do some good with it.^ ^

What if there is no way of making it optional for users?

This, so many times. I'd rather know why my post was deleted and have a full inbox than to just log on one day and go "wtf" and not know why they're gone. I haven't received any PM's in about a month, except a gif from eastercat that I asked for, so a full inbox would actually make me feel special.

I would love to see even one complaint from a member who has never been on the staff before I can acknowledge any complaints that the staff may have... After all, they are not going to be deleting each other's posts, are they?

I believe that this thread will come in handy to anyone who has doubts about the AutoPM poll. Bump for the sake of better voting right?

I would definitely like "Automatic Private Message", as my posts like to randomly disappear.

I actually lost one about 10 minutes ago, but don't know which one.

Apparently it was installed... but it's currently not working. :/
Which is a sad sad thing... :(
I hope it can be fixed.

Don't even think about it. That's a terrible idea.

Yeah, I don't see the name change plugin being installed here. Way too easily abused.
You can get your name changed at 300 posts, then every two weeks once you hit premium.

Even with the limitation? I mean, if you set the plugin to work only with Prems and Staff and set it for only once every two weeks, would it be too much of a problem? Normies would have to request their name changes like how it current is (unless there's a limitation that for nonPrems to only get one name change after 300 posts) and those who earned the right for name changes (prems/staff) won't have to wait.

Though I would try to figure out what about name changes is causing these DBEs first.
