Does anyone remember that awesome show that was always on Cartoon Network in the 1990's? Well it's been confirmed for about a year or two now that a movie for Jonny Quest is being made. Wikipedia states that "On August 7, 2007, it was announced that Warner Bros. is developing a live-action film based on the series and characters. Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter will produce and the script will be written by Dan Mazeau. Zac Efron is confirmed to play Jonny for the project. Dwayne Johnson has been quoted as saying he will play Race Bannon." In celebration for the new live action movie, the Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (volume 1) has released back six months ago (http://www.amazon.com/Real-Adventur...ef=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1252262565&sr=8-2). As far as the movie goes, I heard that Zac Efron already did some interviews for the movie. So, what do you guys think?
I don't see this ending well, especially if, both, Effron's playing Jonny, and Johnson is going to be Race. Do we know who's going to be Jesse or Haji?
Oh, that's easy: They used up all the original creative juices, so the only way to make money is to remake what's already been used. You should expect them to make a Thundercats movie at the rate this is going.
There are still so many new and creative movies they could still make, like District 9, yet they just want to take childhood memories and coat them in CGI and bad acting (G.I. Joe, Godzilla, Planet of the Apes, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, etc.) I'm not going to see this >:c
