i'm working on a book and this is the first couple pages or so. so here we go
It's a mix of harry Potter and Avatar the last airbender though. k?

It's been one thousand, seven hundred and eighty-five years since our race have appeared on earth. Beings of elemental strength. Among us are fire, water, earth, and air shamans. Now in each of the main four elements there are sub-elements as each of us has two. Ice, magma, nature, sand, metal, and lightning. For you to understand, you would have to know our history. During the 5 thousand two hundredth century before Christ the Archlords were given the Holy Grail and the Fruits of Eden. Fire and Earth took the fruits giving them knowledge and Water and Air took the grail and they were granted extended life. During a course of 200 hundred years they formed the land and created life. Soon after the Archlords chose their gift and created the world they began to lust over the
body of humans thus creating the elemental shamans. Each shaman has one element. Today at 1716 A.D. our people thrive in a country called Clotric. The New World. 50 years ago a man corrupted with power sought the three last elements. Darkness, Light, and Chaos. With those he could recreate a new world. His name is Umbra. An earthbound immortal, son of the Archlords, defeated Umbra and disappeared. Today we honor that man. In fact we have a school for him that our race must go to. It is called Jahova. Jahova is a school where our kind can learn to use them to support our country. Right now I'm standing on the steps of this school for the first time. This is the telling of James Connor's life. Made me wonder if this should be with the other fanfiction, but the story kind of contradicts what you said. Just tell me if it needs to be moved, though.

The history so far is confusing. Too many things mentioned and not enough details or time set out to explain them. You're also missing a few full stops/periods, specifically the one right at the end which is bugging me. xD *tempted to edit*
