According to a report from GamePolitics, the judge who presided over Miami lawyer Jack Thompson's Bar trial has recommended to the Florida Supreme Court that he be found guilty on 27 of 31 charges of professional misconduct. Of the 27 recommendations of guilt, twenty-one are from a suit related to Grand Theft Auto and four are from an attempt by Thompson to have Rockstar's Bully declared a public nuisance. The Bar trial judge, Dava Tunis, found the violent video game activist guilty of misconduct such as "Engaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation." I don't care that he's "spewing ****" all the time. Let him think what he wants. He is entitled to his views as are we. But I didn't think his "tactics" were all that. He could have done a much better job advocating himself. In fact, he became the very thing he feared. A law breaker.
I don't care what he thinks, until he starts trying to force his opinions and beliefs down everyones throat, which he is always trying to do when it comes to Rockstar.
He really cant make a difference. IF he manages to succesfully sue them, theyll just make the money back in GTA Sales in no time. And besides, nobody is goign to stop buying the game because hes telling them to.
thsi guy is talked about in alot of forums yet i never heard of him, not even in online news. is this guy knownn only to gamers or is this like something that is actually news worthy or is it taking place where english is spoken?
I find this amusing. It's one thing to have an opinion and voice out against things such as violent video games and another to be doing conduct that mirrors them in some regard. He's just out for attention and the games he gets on are usually fun stress relievers. He's just a passive aggressive bully trying to fight against people having any amusement out of life and I will hope he gets some of his own torment back that he's caused. He gets money for no reason at all.
I've known about this guy since the whole GTA SA thing and have not really had a problem with his ideology that video games are melting our brains basically, i just ignored him and continued to frag covenant and collect rings. But a few weeks ago I heard his debate with Adam Sessler on GTA4, and the guy is too high on himself. He blew everything out of propotion and wouldn't even allow other's to voice their opinion without basically telling them that they are wrong and only his opinion is important because he has more credit then they do. That's why i applauded when the mediator cut him off and hung up on him.
