Kingdom Hearts II I've seen this a lot lately...

I read through the topics on forums like this and keep seeing things like "Sora did such and such because Roxas did, and Roxas is Sora." Which brings me to a question.

Am I the only one who DOESN'T consider a Nobody and their Somebody to be the same person?

 

i accaully agree with u they aint the same person even tho they came from the same person doesnt means they are the person

 

Well, in all the fanfiction i write, Namine and Roxas are always two tottaly different people :/

 

I agree, and if anything shouldn't nobodies and their 'somebodies' be on the opposite side?

Agreed, however this doesn't mean that they cannot act similiar. Case and Point, Xemnas and Xehanort's Heartless.

Namine and Roxas are stated to be exceptions....but only Nomura really knows.

Also I think the "Nobodies are the emotional shells" of a person typically drives people to believe that they ARE "the same person". :\

Well, I believe they're different people. Most of the time, when a Somebody becomes a Nobody, their heart is gone and it's just the body. But Roxas and Namine were special in a complicated way that even I'm still a bit confused about. But the point is, their Somebodies still managed to stay, instead of being just heartless or a Nobody. So in a way, they're different, but at the same time, they are the same. It's like a part of them separated, but they're still very different...a bit confusing really, that I don't get all of it. lol

Well, of course there not the same person. A somebody and his nobody are completly oposite in some ways.

 

They're not the same people. They may look and act and very similar, but they're different people.

As previously stated by Zandyne, only Nomura knows, and Roxas and Namine are some kind of an exception.

Or maybe it has somethin' to do with what Saix said in KH2. To quote him: "No, we don't have hearts. But we remember what it was like."

And it said somewhere that Roxas couldn't remember ever being Sora's Nobody, because Sora survived becoming a Heartless.

So I'm thinking, since Roxas can't remember ever being Sora, he made a personality for himself. Same with Namine.

But the rest of the Nobodies' Others were lost, and so their memories were passed on to those Nobodies, giving them the previous personality of that Other...

 

They aren't the same person. At least, I don't think so....Although they may have similar apperances....But then I think that their nobodies are different from their actually somebodies....But I don't know, I get confused over these things.......

 

i thinik there similar not the same...its our chioces that make us who we are...and plus Roxas i think is less "light" then sora...if u get what i mean

Well, you have to admit, kairilover's got a point. Even though I had trouble understanding what she meant by Nobodies being Somebodies on the other side...

 

nobodies and somebodies are sooooooooooo not alike..... they have similar personalities but they are almost like exact opposites....
