I've got nothing against voice actors

But every time I hear any character from an anime that is voiced by Stephanie Sheh, I seem to always hate that character. Not only do they always seem to be an annoying girl who has to whine about everything and be completely hopeless *coughorihimecough*....actually, that's pretty much it. I have not seen any anime that she has voiced a character in that the girl isn't annoying

Actually, I'm amused any time I hear a character by Vic Mignogna, just because it makes me think back to Ed and I've always been amused by his character. One of the best scenes and greatest phone notifications "Don't call me little!"

 

Oh yeah, I agree with you on his performance for Edward Elric. I just can't take him seriously when he's other characters because I hear nothing but Edward. :x

 

You ever watch Kenichi: Mightiest Disciple? He actually voices an old guy on there, and I could swear it's like an alternate reality version of Ed who was born in a different county, studied martial arts, and became a complete pervert...and doesn't worry about his size. I think the most I'm saying is they both make you laugh.

Speaking of which, apparently what's-his-name who voices Xemnas is also voicing in Tenjho Tenge, which I'm watching right now. So far it seems like a majority of the voices are also from Bleach, as well as a Kingdom Hearts person. I get the feeling I'll know all of the voices at this rate

Well of course. Anime studios like Bang Zoom and whatnot tend to be pretty low class and stationed in some faraway part of Texas or whatever. Plus anime is niche and unless it's licensed by Disney or funded by Cartoon Network like IGPX then they're going to scrape the bottom of the barrel for newbie VA's and Yuri Lowanthal for the 9506th time.
Wheras Video Games tend to be able to afford the higher up VA's like Mark Hamil and Tara Strong.

And don't forget Steven Blum. He might have been in a lot of anime as well as games, but I'd still say he's a great voice actor.

 

It's funny because now the anime voice actors are showing up in all the video games

Granted I am never sorry to hear from Troy Baker

 

Not ALL of them are bad but Blum is a perfect example of them plying it safe. He's relatively cost efficient and tends to do a good job hence why you hear him in quite literally everything, it also helps that he'll pretty much accept anything.
Same goes for Troy Baker and Nolan North, they'll pretty much accept anything but they're a little more expensive then Blum hence why you very rarely see them in anime and if they are they are either
A) A minor character
B) Only there for a few episodes

Also I was asking if people like you even exist in reference to the fact that you haven't watched FLCL IE an anime that aired on TV 10 years ago and has continued to air on TV over and over again throughout the years since it's only 6 episodes.

well, a majority of anime I watched 10 years ago mostly consisted of what was on toonami or kids wb, so that mostly include things like IGPX, Dragon Ball Z, Yuyu Hakusho, Pokemon, Yugioh, etc. I really only got into watching a lot more anime a few years ago, maybe since I was 16 or so. I've probably heard about a lot of anime that are famous but just don't remember them. Although I can say I've probably never heard of FLCL.

And yes, I have never watched Cowboy Bebop. No I don't plan on it, because I have a big enough list of stuff to watch/continue watching while I'm already adding more to it which I shouldn't if I ever want that list to go down, and I'm just not interested in watching it altogether.

 

Let's just all agree that Hynden Walch has the best voice ever and be done with it.

If you're flat-out admitting you're not going to watch what is potentially the greatest achievement in Japanese animation (at least on TV), then you may as well forgo the genre altogether

It doesn't matter what's on your backlog, this is more important
