I wanted to be nice and make a CD for my friend for her birthday. So I download a song of Itunes and of course it get corrupted. I guess that'd what you get when you try to be nice <_< Please please help me... I have no idea what to do..
First of all, I believe iTunes 10.6 was released today. You may want to update to the latest version if this one is giving you problems. Secondly, the song was purchased from the iTunes Store? Try deleting it from your machine and your iTunes library, then going into your purchases on the iTunes Store, and re-download it.
I did the second thing and its still not working. I looked online I got the same advice-didn't work. I did it multiple times to. Also how to I update it? It usually does it by itself so now I think this file screwed up itunes :(
Kay i just downloaded it and now i shall restart my computer Edit: I restarted and opened Itunes but the file's still not working :(
Just curious, do you happen to have Kapersky virus protection installed and/or running while this is going on? I've poked around and there are some reports of this problem being solved if you pause it. If you're using something else, I would give pausing it a go anyway.
Whats Kapersky? Lol Never heard of that one. I have Norton. It's still there, but I just keep pausing it so it doesn't really bother me or anything-its just annoying.
If Kapersky is causing the problem, Norton may be as well. Try disabling Norton quickly and trying the download? By the by, Norton is pretty awful and I do not suggest using it ever.
Most people would consider Norton a virus of sorts itself. I'd highly recommend uninstalling it and moving over to something like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast, both of which are free. I personally really like Security Essentials, which (as the name suggests) is made by Microsoft, and is extremely easy to use. I used Avast briefly as well and had nothing but good experiences with it.
What?!? Why? I... Wow... I'm really shocked right now... but I don't feel really comfortable changing virus protection cuz with my luck I'll screw something up. So yeah I'll just stick with Norton..
