It's Pancake Day!!!!!

So who is having pancakes today and if so what are you having on them?

pancakes are ****ing gross.

 

I'm having pancakes with pepperoni and cheese on them. It's a special recipe that I use specifically so I can put less breakfast-y toppings on them.

 

Why is anyone excited to eat deflated Yorkshire Puddings?

 

xD Am I the only one who actually has pancakes?

So I just made pancakes on my own for the first time, the first 3 were complete and utter disasters. The first one looked more like an omlette than a pancake, the second was just a jumbled mess and the third was okay until I tried to flip it. Still ate them all, obviously. However my forth one actually looked and tasted like a pancake, it was good. 8DD The fifth one I made was good too but that was for someone else.

Sadly no pictures of my failings but now I'm stuffed.

I had pancakes. With syrup and sugar. Was gooooood.

I managed to flip mine pretty well. :3

 

No, I don't even know what a galette is. What I do is extremely simple.

1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
1 egg
Salt to taste

1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Pour onto a greased griddle.
3. Add your meats (in my case, pepperoni, but ham, turkey, bacon, and other sliced meats work too) to each pancake while the underside is frying, then flip and add cheese.
4. Remove finished pancakes from the griddle.
5. Repeat steps 2-5 until all batter is gone.

In my experience, it usually makes 6 pancakes.

 

That sounds awesome. A galette is a french savoury pancake.

 

I had pancake with my chocolate sauce, lemon juice and sugar.

I also have a total of 7 pancakes... I don't feel too great now but they were goooooooood.

 

Made mine for the family. About.... hmmmm.... 10 or so?

First 4 were with very bad insta pancake mix which made them very difficult, last 6 were with eggs and bater mix, much better to cook, and easier to flip.

Shame I only ever seem to do this once a year.

 

I had pancakes with carob chips (they're like chocolate chips, but dogs can eat them). Dad ate nine of them, Sam had five and I had four. I would have eaten more, but we ran out of batter.
