It's Morphin' Time!

About damn time.

I stopped watching Power Rangers generations ago, and the good ones stopped even before that.
Which sucks because some seasons could have had a lot of potential.
I didn't see a single episode of the latest, but it seemed slightly darker in the one youtube video I saw, don't know if it actually was.

The only thing I have to say about Mighty Morphin being re-aired is...well, it's Morphinomenal (ah nostalgia). I wouldn't mind if they did that for the original canon series (MMPR-In Space or Lost Galaxy) and maybe a few seasons afterwards (I loved Wild Force. Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder or w/e they were were also decent). Since MMPR is Back in Action (Oh god, the lingo), I might end up watching it again for the pure nostalgia.

 

They really don't need Power Rangers anymore now that they're actually adapting Kamen Rider with some effort.

Still, look into Super Sentai, the original form of Power Rangers. Super Sentai has always had better storylines than Power Rangers.

If you look into the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series' themselves, they're insanely popular in Japan. Both have been around since the mid-70's.

Actually, I've got a question about the MMPR: Are you saying they're making the original digital and airing it, or they're completely redoing it, like with new actors and everything? I'm not sure what you meant by that.

 

I remember I always loved Power Rangers when I was a kid. My favortie Ranger was Jason the Red ranger. Also I loved the villian Lord Zedd.

 

He was definitely better than Rocky.

And by digitally remastering, I guess they're going to touch up the display of it like they've been doing for the Disney Movies, not remaking it.

 

Thank goodness. That scared me just a tad. One thing we don't need is to replace Tommy and his many tatoos.

True, but im still glad that they're bringing the original rangers back. And wow I though I was the only one on here that liked super sentai o.o
Anyways, Super Sentai is a lot better than power rangers. However, it's difficult to find subbed episodes of it 8|

 

Glad to hear this. Power Rangers where once good (as good as a series of that kind can be) but then Disney messed it up. I have watched a few episodes from Mystic force and it sucks very bad. If it makes it hear i think i'm gonna watch it.

 

I grew up with MMPR as a kid on FoxTV ( :lolface: ), and I must say it was absolutely brilliant back then. Loved the movies too :3
(And beatlebots or w.e. Loved that aswell.)

 

Well, on the bright side is that MMPR is being scheduled to air next year, but ABC Kids is gonna skip a few episodes of Season 1. Right now, I am more focused on what the Kamen Rider will be adapted after Dragon Knight. I hope that we get to see either Faiz, Blade or Kabuto.

 

I found out something about the latest Super Sentai, Shinkenger: Apparently, a few Kamen Riders have made some appearances to the show; I don't know how many, but I found a link sometime back with Kamen Rider Decade fighting alongside the rangers.

 

Oh, you must be talking about episodes 24-25 of Decade, namely "Shinkenger No Sekai Arc". Yeah, that's what you mean and I most definetly love that arc. I think that it might be a trigger for the next possible Tokusatsu Crossover Kamen Rider "_______" Hyper Battle DVD Special or perhaps a possible "xxxxxx-Sentai xxxxxxx-ranger vs. Kamen Rider ______" movie in the next 10-15 years. I mean that team-up was even cooler then MMPR's opener for season three when they teamed-up with Saban's "Masked" Rider (Black RX).

 

Oh, so they do that often? The only time I was familiar with it was the MMPR one. I always wanted MMPR to team up with the VR Troopers, since they had a lot in common the time they were on.

 

Bloody hell, I haven't heard of Power Rangers in years...
I watched it for about 5 years straight and then knida 'grew' out of it. I have to admit the original series was great, and a few others did great too.

Hope the re-master is decent, but I know the fashion of the 90's is going to slap me in the face.

I think what's really going to get me are two things: The way they talked back then (especially Bulk and Skull), and the giant zord fights. I watched the season where Lord Zedd brings back some of the monsters, and I can't believe what an idiot I was at the time, at how much they reused some of their stock material, especially when they brought monsters back from when it was only Rita: Not one time where the Thunderzords and the monsters in the same scene!
