It Lies in the Heart.

Natsuki blinked and looked at Vaj, "how are they cheaters?" she asked, confused and curious

"Natsuki," Tadami said and walked in, not seeing her anywhere. he spotted teh note and opened it, freezing when it said that she had run away

 

Vaj tucked in her legs behind her and sighed, "Okay, only our kingdom knows about this- But a long time ago, there was a Prince of our side and he had an arranged marriage to the Princess of Destiny Kingdom. At first they both didnt like each other...And they wouldnt see each other but it was said that the Prince gave the Princess a gift and they fell in love. But a year after their marriage the Princess cheated on the Prince behind his back, the Prince became so pushed into grief and sorrow that he murdered the Princess and her sercret lover...Its always been a reason why we resent them so much." She looked down and slammed her fist on the bed

 

Natsuki frowned, thats not how i remember it... she thought, "really? sounds alot like a story i heard when i was in destiny kingdom... i heard that they got an arranged marrage and like you said didnt love each other at first, but fell in love and married. but my version said that the Princess was murdered along with her brother by the prince because he had been drinking and killed them because he saw the princess hugging her brother and thought that it was another man that she was kissing."

Tadami fell onto the bed

 

Vaj shook her head, "No..Our people sometimes are liers but we arent cheaters." She tapped her claw onthe bed then dug them into her matress, "Plus, most of us are straight edge. Mostly...Some smoke, and the only drink allowed in the kingdom is wine. Which you cant get really drunk off of, I know because Li investigated the crime once he heard."

 

Natsuki crossed her arms, "but if both sides have a different version of the same story... it makes you wonder what actually happened..."

 

Vaj gave a small glare at her, "You dont believe, do you." She asked, with a cold voice as she lifted up her mutated claw and exained it

 

Natsuki frowned sadly, "its not that i dont believe, but ive heard alot of things like this in stories and in actual life, two different sides to teh same story and there was a different story that was true and had similarities and differences to both stories"

 

Vaj twisted her hand around and looked at that side, "Your not from either kingdom...You dont quite fully understand."

 

Natsuki looked down

 

Vaj put her arm down and stood up, "Im going downstairs, want to come? Li isnt down there anymore." She said and walked to the door

 

"o-oh, yeah...." Natsuki said and stood up,

 

Vaj nodded then walked downstairs, "Okay."

 

Natsuki walked after Vaj

 

Vaj walked into the kitchen and sat down

 

Natsuki walked in and stood away from the doorway, looking at Vaj,

 

Vaj looked at her, "Do you want to go to the beach? Its nice at night...Li has to come though, he told me that he needs to keep an eye on me." She said with a slight dissapointed tone

 

"he wasnt with you when i met you on the beach earlier. plus, i can probably keep an eye on you." Natsuki said

 

Vaj looked at her, "Syn was...But okay. I just dont want to get in troubl..." She sid quietly while twittling her fingers

 

Natsuki tilted her head, "is Syn one of your sisters?"

 

Vaj shook her head, "She's an old friend."
