It Lies in the Heart.

Natsuki's eyes went wide, she coughed and blood started to run down her chin again, she clenched her fists,

the nurse put a hand on natsuki's back, "Princess..." she said and gasped when she removed her hand to see that the blood had already soaked through the bandages,

"N-Nii-sama, i want nii-sama!" Natsuki cried, tears flooding down her face a small puddle of blood n the ground that had dripped from her chin,

"Doctor! captain!" the nurse shouted, "somethings wrong!"

Tadami stopped, scowling at the ground, he put his hand to his heart, "Kimiko.... what was it that you felt earlier..."

 

The medic watched him ride off and went back to work in the medic tent. A soilder was sent to inform the other knights what had happened. June held on to Kelveras tightly. "I... love you too..." June said softly and smiled, weakly. Despite the pain in her stomach, she still wanted to keep a good mood, although she found that to be a harder task than she'd expected...

Kimiko looked at Tadami. "Hmm?" She said and looked at the ground. "I'm not sure what it was, but my chest just suddenly started to hurt, and I felt really sad... I don't know why, though..." She looked up at the sky. I can feel it again, but this time... it's stronger...

 

Li looked around the city for Vaj, heading towards her direction

Vaj sighed deeply, she looked at some people staring at her, I need to get a wig or something...

 

"Please love...just rest....we will have to stop on the way to the kingdom...but I will be with you..." Kelveras said trying to smile, "I will be by you forever dear....."

Lanern took off in a sprint inside the tent and took Natsuki's hand, "Natsuki...whats wrong?" he said looking her over, he gently embraced her and held her close, "I'm so sorry princess..." he said as tears fell.

 

"i want to see Nii-sama!" Natsuki cried,

"i dont know what happened, once i finished bandaging her wound, she fell to the floor and started choking, and when i looked at her back i saw the blood had already seeped through the bandages." the nurse said in a panic

the doctor frowned, "we dont have proper medicine here captain, and it seems that only the prince will comfort her, perhaps you should take her home."

Natsuki cried out in pain and dug her nails into Lanern's arm, without meaning to, tears flooded down her face to where her eyes were blurry,

Tadami froze and felt his heart pound for a second. "somethings wrong, its Natsuki..... i just know it"

 

June nodded, letting out a breath of air. It hurts... But I'm just going to have to tough it out until we get back... She thought as tears fell down her cheeks. "D-Did I get her...?" June asked after a moment of riding in silence. "D-Did my arrow hit her?"

"T-Tadami..." Kimiko said softly and felt herself start to cry again. "We have to go help Natsuki! She's injured, I just know it!" Kimiko said, starting to sob.

 

Li sighed once he found Vaj, he walked over to her and gave her the plushie, "Like it?"

Vaj looked down at the alligator plushie, "Yes...." She said then looked up and smiled, "We need to shop for disguises."

Li looked off to the side with his eyes while sighing, then looked back at her, "We have to do that back I home."

 

"I don't know dear...I'm sorry...." Kelveras said looking out at the horizon, "I just want to make sure I get you somewhere safe....then I can get my revenge for you love....."

Lanern was shocked by Natsuki's nails, but didn't care, "after whats happening to you....I deserve some pain...." he said gently picking her up, "get me supplies for our journey....."

 

Tadami nodded, "im worried..."

the medic nodded and went to pack the medical things they had

Natsuki cried into Lanern's chest, her eyes widened then she went limp, her eyes slightly open, tears silently fell down her cheeks and her breathing was uneven,

Vaj started to laugh then stood up, she turned to her brother, "Mmmk. Whatever.." She said then jumped on the fairy

Li shook his head slowly then followed

 

"Don't apologize..." June said and opened her eyes, looking up at Kelveras. She was about to say something else, but she suddenly felt a strong pain rise up in her chest. She let out a cry of pain and clung tightly to Kelveras as she started to cough violently.

Kimiko turned and immediately started to run back to the castle.

 

Kelveras stopped the horse and held June gently, "June...dear whats wrong..." he said looking her over, "what can I do to help you love?" he asked worried.

Lanern held Natsuki close, "what has happened to her...." he said quietly to himself, "if she dies...its my fault....." he said gently wiping her tears, "medic get the supplies and my horse now...."

 

the medic handed Lanern the supplies and went outside and got his horse, "captain, your horse is ready"

Natsuki moaned

Tadami frowned when Kimiko ran off, he sighed and walked through the town

 

Vaj rested her arms and then her head on the railing of the boat as it was going. She sighed deeply then closed her eyes

Li looked up at the sky

 

June gasped and closed her eyes tightly. Tears started to fall down her cheeks and she held onto Kelveras tightly. "I-It... hurts..." She said, feeling the pain caused by her wound. Tears fell down her cheeks uncontrollably.

Kimiko soon arrived back at the castle and kept running until she got to her room. Tears fell down her cheeks. I'm going to help Natsuki... She's really hurt, and I can't just sit here and do nothing! She thought and suddenly stopped. Right... it takes at least a day to get there... She sighed and stared at the floor.

 

Kelveras gently kissed June once and held her close, closing his eyes, "I'm sorry love....I never should have let this happen to you...." he said tenderly taking her hand, "I wish it could have been me instead...."

Lanern got on his horse with Natsuki in his arms, "go..." he said riding off, "I won't let you die Natsuki....I promised to protect and watch over you....and thats what I'm going to do...."

 

Tadami went to the side of the cliff where Natsuki always looked over the ocean from,

Natsuki clutched to Lanern's shirt,

 

Li hopped off the fairy and went straight back home

Vaj snuck away from him and to their mall, she searched around for new outfits and a wig store

 

June held onto Kelveras tightly. Don't say that... She wanted to say, but she couldn't find the words to speak. She covered her mouth as she started to cough again, although this time it didn't hurt her as much. Kelveras, I'm glad it wasn't you... I couldn't bear to see you go through this pain...

Kimiko looked out of the window.

 

Kelveras noticed June slightly doing a little better, "a little more dear...then we will be at a camping spot...." he said trying to smile and gently touching her cheek, "then we can rest....." he said riding off.

Lanern rode as fast as it would be possible without causing Natsuki to hurt more, "please hold on Natsuki...I will try to reach the camp as soon as possible....." he said nervously, "please hold on....."
