It Lies in the Heart.

*As Nero reahced the outskirts of town to his surprise he found someone sitting on the ground*
"H-Hello...?" He asked Vaj as he warily walked up to her.

 

Tadami shrugged, "not sure, she knows this city like it was her own design, she could be anywhere."

Natsuki cocked her head, blinked and took off her shoes before juping onto the roof and following Li, not making a sound, what is he doing?

 

Li continued to walk, feeling alert since he sensed someone but, he kept on turning corners to turn back to hwere Vaj should be

Vaj popped off her hood and smiled, "N-Nero....? W-What are you doing here!"

 

"Nothing much....just walking I geuss....you?" He asked Vaj curiously.

 

"Is that so..." Kelveras said leaning over and lightly kissing her cheek, "ever since this war started....your mood has changed....I miss my princess's smile....." he said with a gentle smile.

Lanern sat up when a knight approached him, "what is this..." he said taking a letter from the man and reading it, his hands and the letter began to shake, "those Oblivions....." he said jumping up and heading into the castle.

 

Natsuki giggled a little and pulled out a mask from her pocket and put it on, continuing to follow him,

Tadami growled, looking around down the streets, "Natsuki!"

 

Vaj scratched the back of her head, "O-Oh.....Well....Me and Li are over here for an adventure...I suppose..." She said nervously

Li kept walking, getting over to the side of town where she should of been, WHere the heck is she....

 

"An adventure!??" He asked her excitedley.
"Do you mind if I tag along?" He asked her ready for the chance of doing something exciting.

 

"Everyone's changed since this war's begun... Haven't they?" She said. She couldn't help but think about Vaj. I'm starting to worry about her... She's getting much worse lately, and Mother doesn't even seem to care. She thought.

"Natsuki!" Kimiko called out her name, looking around. "I don't see her..." She said softly.

 

"Well atleast since in a manor of speaking you knew about the war....thats when your mood changed...." Kelveras sighed looking out the window, "I remember this little girl...her and I used to play together all the time....she was even my first kiss at 17....." he grinned before gently letting go of her hand, "those were good days...." he said heading outside into the rain.

Lanern headed into the knights accomodations, "alright listen up...." he said sternly, "one of our kingdoms store clerks was murdered.....crime never happens unless one of those Oblivion dogs manages to get in here and cause trouble....I want a group of soldiers ready in five minutes..."

 

Tadami huffed

Natsuki peeked over the roof at Li, a little weary that she was so close to home

 

Vaj looked surprise, "O-O-Okay....Me and Li I guess are staying over here till dusk. Then we are heading back to Oblivion Kingdom."

Li kept walking, ignoring her, he turned and looked around the side of town, once he didnt find her he started heading out to where she was

 

"Cool, this should be a load of fun" He told her excitedley as he sat down beside her.
"So how long do we have to wait before we go?" He asked her curiously.

 

June watched as he walked off, silently. She then closed her eyes. He's right... Those were good days. Why couldn't things have stayed like that?

"Natsuki!" Kimiko shouted again, becoming worried. "Tadami, are you sure she's not at home?" She asked.

 

Kelveras walked outside and closed his eyes remembering the day he and June had kissed, he slowly opened them, "those were good days...." he said walking over to a high ranking officer, "so captain what is the nature of this call...."

"It seems High Captain Lanern is heading this way....with a small legion of soldiers sir...." the man said.

Lanern and his soldiers road outside of the gate and started the ride to Oblivion, "make these people pay for their crimes....for it is obvious they hold no justice themselves....." he said riding faster.

 

Natsuki jumped across the buildings towards Lanern,

Tadami sighed, "no, she isnt, ive checked everywhere"

 

Vaj looked up at the sky, "Well....We have to wait till Li gets here, then we can go back into town."

Li sighed in relief once he saw the two, he walked over and looked at Nero, "How did you get over here...?"

Vaj laughed, "He wants to explore with us..."

 

June opened her eyes and walked down the hallway. Li and Vaj are probably exploring or something... I haven't seen them all day... She headed to her room.

Kimiko sighed. "Where in the world could she be, then?" She looked around before noticing a small group of soilders. "Hmm? Hey, aren't those soilders from our kingdom?" She asked Tadami.

 

Lanern and his men stopped at the Oblivion gate, "open the gate Oblivion's so justice may be done...." he said with anger in his eyes, "let punishment be given where it is owed and due...."

Kelveras peered over the tower edge, "well well...if it isn't Lanern....of course friend....lower the gate....." he grinned, "come and search....I assure nothing is funny here....." he said heading down to the courtyard outside the gate.

 

The Queen looked out her window and laughed, "Idiots..." She said, looking at the Destiny soldiers

Li helped Vaj up and nodded to Nero, then walked side-by-side with her back into the city

Vaj sighed, "Can we head home a little earlier....?"

Li scowled, "Why."

Vaj looked down
