It kinda annoys me (Late night rant)

When people ask others to recommend something to read/watch/eat I mean come on, can't they think for them selfs if they'll like it or not, because the person who will recommend something, may end up doing so with what the first person doesn't like, so don't you agree that this is just a waste of time?

(Yeah it's 3.48 am here and that's why I started this, because I'm sleep, but don't want to go bed yet)

 

i sometimes hate it when people tell me to watch things. i sometimes do it myself. i told one of my friends "he should watch death note", and now he won't.
no i just ask if they've seen it, therefore; they will feel interested in it.

 

What? This made no sense.

 

I mean the person who is asked to recommend something may pick something that the person who asked them doesn't like.

 

Oh. Well, they asked, so they have to be open-minded and have to at least try to get past the first few episodes.

 

Well, not everyone sees the same things and knows the same things. I ask my friends for music recommendations. Sure, we listen to mostly the same music, but there is some music that he/she listens to that he/she likes that i've never heard of before. So in a way, its a good way of exploring new stuff that you havent seen or heard of before. How could you know to look for it if you dont know about it?

 

True. But if you want to listen to new music than listen to Hip Hop. GOGOGO.

Maybe they can't seem to find things they enjoy by themselves. Or maybe they think that you have similar tastes as you, and wants to have more things in common.

Its called a suggestion. Just because its recommended, doesn't mean you have to go and do it.
