There was a person with a gun outside my school.

First of all, I would expect this in Las Vegas. It wouldn't be news. Las Vegas is Las Vegas and that is that. Guns outside of schools are scary of course, but not a huge threat after a while.

This is fricking Bethany, Missouri. The most rural town that I can imagine. This had never happened before here, and I find it ironic that I move from Las Vegas to here and this is just something that I can't escape. I don't know much about it, but it just ticks me off. What the hell is this world coming to? All I can say is what the hell.

    Your thoughts on this?

Wow that's scary. My old school used to get a few bomb threats a year, but it was nothing real. That's really terrifying that a guy with a gun was outside your school. The world is becoming a more dangerous place every day. It's becoming very very bad.

Before I can respond, I need to know more about this matter at hand. Are you saying you know someone who has a gun or there is someone outside your school right now with a gun?

I don't know much about it, really. The police came and such, and it was over. I wasn't really told anything about it. I have no idea who the person was, but there was someone outside my school with a gun.

Wow... pretty intense... I use to live in Las Vegas, so I know what it's like. It was really scary when they had lock downs (for real). Gees... everyday the world drops faster and faster how safe it is.... :(

Wow. I can't believe how dumb people are. A gun will never solve your problems.

Don't get me started on the US' policy on firearms. You'll find all kinds of wrong there.

*facepalm* Guns don't kill people, People kill people. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

    A gun's a temptress.

I know it exists. I said I don't agree with it. *facepalm*
When was the last time that a gun in civillian hands was actually helpful?

I'm 24 and hold a licence to carry a firearm. I have a .25 semi-auto pistol registered to me. I have never been tempted to use it on anyone.

This is kinda scary. I really don't know what to say about this.
My cousin has been in a lockdown once, and he saw the guy with the gun pointing it at a few of some people he knew, luckily those people got lucky and survived.

    Lucky *******.........

I'll get to what I have to say in a minute, but I mean, hell, I've always wanted to test just how good I am by getten through an in-school gun situation (dont mean having a gun. I mean surviving the actual situation without getten shot. Dunno why, but the challange seems to arrouse my interests)

As for meh thoughts, hell, crazy people are everywhere. U can never really get rid of them, lol

Well good for you, and I really mean that.
But you know as well as I do that not everyone's that strong.
Having a gun triggers something in some people's minds, especially in the young'uns.

Either way a guns has killed more people than it has saved.
Take Finland for example. Same soft-ass weapon policy, same lame-ass school shootouts.

That much is true. I've witnessed gun violence first hand when I was young. It was very gruesome.

Okay. That is waaaay scary! O_O Just calm down a-and think over this. W-we could maybe call the police and then then..... *shatters and faints* XDD

But seriously. That is scary. I've seen them before. People using them for murder. -_-;; Maybe there's something coming up in Missouri. Try checking the news.

Wowz! :( That pretty~ scary. I would totally freak out if there was a guy outside my school with a gun. Oddly enough, a couple of days ago a gang came outside my school looking for this guy in my art class. But they didn't have guns - only a baseball bat, a knife and golf clubs. Which is still kinda scary but not so much when the-guy-they-were-looking-for started chasing them with a golf club, and them running around the school. The gang got arrested when they police came and the boy got subspended(sp?).

I'm just kinda wondering, aside from like hunting game, the police and whatnot, why does the average American need a gun anyway?

I shoot targets on the weekend. Other than that I feel safer knowing that if someone tries to break into our house I am prepared to defend my family.
