...how life is controlled by money? I mean, the only reason we go to school is to get a college degree so we can get good jobs that gives a large sum of money every week. But, then again, if it wasn't for money people would be stealing things and stuff like that. The world would be in a wreck. So, any thoughts?

Your post dosn't talk to me. Money does.

    Heh, sorry. Couldn't resist.

But, yeah. Are world is too based on who has money and who dosn't. It makes people groupe themselves between "Us" and "them". Some people on my bus were making fun of a homeless person they saw. Truely sad...

If you think about it, the only reason that person is homeless is because they didn't have a good education, if you think about it.

Well, money is a necessary evil. You can't live without it in today's society. I think bartery was a good system, but when I think hard about it, it also has it's flaws. So we do what we can, and we try to live easily with this fact. It makes you feel uneasy on how dependant a life is on it, but that's the way it is, so might as well live with it.

    Money.
The world would be in chaos if there was none
Money is just a way of balancing out everything, and organisation.
Why would you give someone who doesnt work and does drugs free stuff that normal people have to pay for?

Money itself isn't that bad. It's a way of getting things people require and paying for other people's works to bring you those things and in the end to even pay the people who make the stuff. It makes sure everyone involved in the process gets something for something done. You work, you get money. You get money from employers because others buy the product. It's a cycle.

Of course it is sad when those who cannot work cannot get paid but even the disabled people we support often do charity work and spend time donating hours to volunteer work so in their way they can get paid too for doing something. Others take care of parents' kids etc, and they do not become a burden because people can afford to support them at home. There will sadly be people that are -left behind- in a sense and homeless for a time, but there are programs to help them too. No one has to be homeless if they can suck in their pride some and deal with some crappy shelters for a while to get back on their feet. Shelters do suck though, and fights break out in them so some people are reluctant to go there. The thing is though really, if you are -willing- to try to find some work, they will help. I think many homeless though have mental conditions that make it hard for them to do work and that also should be assessed, so if they need medicines and such, that could save them and get them back to just simply living.

Money is really only bad when people become obsessive about it and decide to screw other people out of it so they can get more and more. It's not money that's evil. It's the people that abuse others for it, gain power from it by dubious means etc, and are greedy jerks.

You know what I think of money?

    Paper and Metal

I don't care much about money. Yes, If we didn't have money the world would be a wreak or something like that

But money was just created to control the human life, a bit like time.

Money itself is not inherently evil. An inaminate object cannot be evil. It is the love of money that is evil. It is the burning greed in some people that drive them to such lengths as to kill for it.

Of course our society is driven by the want for money, money gives you status, food, shelter, security, ability to interact socially and a feeling of fulfillment. These are all motivators that drive people through life.

The only way to get rid of money (which would be practically impossible in our capatilistic society) would be for EVERYONE to give up money. Meaning you could go to the supermarket and lift what you needed because the supermarket got it for free from the supplier who got everything they needed free.

But that would never happen in a million years, people just love money too much......

I agree with you 100%. I know money isn't evil. I didn't mean to say that. I meant that when you become obsesive over it is when it becomes evil. And you caught exactly how I feel on this topic. And, it's an honor to have you post in one of my threads. ^^

Its not the Money that's evil, its the people that use it for bad stuff that are evil.

Yeah, that's how it is. It's a disappointing thing but I suppose the best way around it is to make friends with those who aren't that way, and to move around those who are and avoid them if we can. That way we don't get caught up in the web they try to catch people in. We have to defend ourselves from those sorts of people and they aren't too hard to spot. I just get annoyed at times when society promotes that sort of behavior with the media watches on certain popular icons etc. That is the impression many people get that of Americans especially but also European locations as well and it certainly doesn't help relations with others.

We're a very material species. We enjoy going beyond simple necessities simply because we have evolved to enjoy it. It's not something that's difficult to make peace with. What really gets to you is the fact that money is really just worthless paper and that it's value depends on how much is produced and how much is returning.

Money isn't the root of all evil.

The specific actions and thoughts of mankind is.

If we didn't have money, we'd be fighting over something else. In today's society, you need money to live under a roof, to provide yourself with food, water and needs.

Hm, that it is, that it is. What ever happened to the days where people never worried about financial issues and would sit down and have fun with friends and family no matter what?

Money is the only way to properly keep all sophisticated, conscious people from committing 'crimes'.

Sadly, the money system here in the U.S. is a load of bull****. I hope the Fed. Reserve gets taken off soon. <_<
