Square-Enix Is Square Enixâ€™s 774 Deaths A Localized Version Of Nanashi No Game?

This makes a lot of sense to me. I really hope it is a localized version of Nanashi no Game (Nameless Game). I've been dying to play a English version of Nanashi no Game since I first played it in Japanese!

Square Enix recently filed a trademark for 774 Deaths in Europe for use with video games. Before anyone ties it to Hitman or another Eidos intellectual property itâ€™s not from Square Enix Europe. 774 Deaths is a Square Enix Japan project.

This is a personal guess, but 774 Deaths might be a localized version of Nanashi no Game, a horror series where players pick up a cursed RPG. See, "nana" is seven in Japanese and "shi" is four. "Nanashi" could be simply written as "774" too and Nanashi no Game is about a game that kills you in seven days so thereâ€™s death in itâ€¦

Perhaps, Square Enix will localize and release the iPhone game Nanashi no App? Itâ€™s not so far-fetched especially considering Square Enix considered releasing Nanashi no Game overseas, but focus group testing halted the project.
