Just wanted to know everyone's take on Sora's extermination of Organization 13 since it seems to be the point of much dispute here.

    Was it necessary?

    Was there another way?

Is he a nobophobe (nobody hating) with a cause?

Did he come to accept them as beings with rights by the end of the story?

Did he only thing about his own group of friends?

What's the importance of having a heart in KH? Just because you don't have one does that make you disposable?

    Do you have any cookies?

    Please discuss!

    It's a part of Disney.

Good vs evil = good always win.

And Sora is the hero of the game and well most of the Org 13 was evil.

    So no :3

Of course Sora doesn't hate all nobodies, just the ones that try to mess up the worlds. If it wasn't for Roxas then maybe Sora would hate all nobodies but because Roxas is Sora then that means he can't hate.

As for the cookies your on your own...

YES! Organization XIII only wanted to have hearts. And Sora was fed nobophobic information by a wizard and a revenge-crazed man. Nobody ever said that Organization XIII would go on a destructive rampage. I think that once they got their hearts back, they would have disbanded. But Sora the Serial Killer was like, "LOL, NOEZ! YOU MUST DIEEEEEE!"

Now,now, children. Sora had a reason for everything.

True, all the Organization wanted was a Heart for each Nobody;for their Kingdom Hearts to make them whole again.

But remember: What were they doing to GET those Hearts? Destroying innocent people (Example: Port Royal,Beast,Ariel, etc.)

If they had gotten their Hearts, true that they would be whole again, but many lives would be lost. And what about their powers? What if they still had them?

Sora had a very good reason to destroy them. Besides....

    THEY STARTED IT. D:

I don think so. I mean, if the organization did it in a way that wouldn't harm the worlds or his friends in anyway, I c no reason y Sora would destory the Organization. The main factor being that the Organization cannot care about what happens to the worlds so naturally Sora has to do something about it. Besides, it seems like the Organization attacked him first so he'd have to defend himself. And that seemed to happen on more than one occasion...

Sora never really hated Organization XIII, hate is a very strong word. It was more like he disliked when they did bad things. And there are also time when he tired to reason with them, so no, I don't think Sora hated them.

Besides, wasn't it Yen Sid who gave them the order/recommendation to defeat the Nobodies? Perhaps he is the true 'nobophobe' in the situation.

I am tired of people calling Sora an evil Nobody hater. He did what he had to do. If the Nobodies got thier hearts, maybe it would cause destruction to the worlds. And he didn't hate Axel either. He apologized for kidnapping Kairi and Sora forgave him (I wonder if he told her he's sorry.) If Xehanort had to obey Ansem and not open the door to KH, none of this would ever happen. They would still be alive. But No Xehanort was a selfish human being who thinks finding his own memory is more important than the lives of other people.

I never gave much notice of it, but I think so. And Sora is also RIGHTFULLY a Heartlessphobic killer.

First off, killing something essentially non-existant in the first place isn't evil. Secondly, not killing them would cause a large amount of imbalance to the world. Sora only did what is necessary, and the only reason he appeared as a jerk to Demyx was because Sora knew he didn't exist anyway. It's not like his feelings would be hurt or anything.

Well, see, Sora's a fifteen year old charged with saving the entire universe with an enormous key. That said, he's probably going to follow any guidance he recieves, and he was told to destroy the Organization, the other Nobodies, and the Heartless by just about everyone he bumped into. The Organization just wanted hearts, yeah, they wanted feelings, but look what they were willing to do to reach that goal -- they were destroying people and worlds, and of course Sora couldn't let that happen.

I think the reason that he was so much more vicious toward Nobodies than to Heartless is because Nobodies function in a higher manner, as Yen Sid said. They are capable of real thought and planning, while Heartless act mindlessly and on instinct. Sora never had to be that way towards the Heartless; it's not like they would have responded anyway. And even if Nobodies don't really care at all, they do give a response, usually enough of one to provoke Sora into killing them. A lot of their deaths were their own fault.

I did think he could have a bit more understanding for them, though, after (KH1 spoiler) becoming a Heartless himself at one point. I'm sure he understood what it felt like to lose everything like that, but Sora being Sora, he plain forgot it ever happened XD.

    You sir, win an internet.

Also, you cannot kill something that DOES NOT EXIST. They angst about it enough, geez, you'd think people would have caught on by now...

A bit more understanding? They don't exist, there isn't any understanding to have. And they do not understand what it feels like to lose everything, because they have no feeling.

As far as I'm concerned, Sora did the right thing by not sympathising any with them. If he did, it would be like feeling sorry for thin air.

This is such a funny named thread. Everytime I hear Sora's name now I'll think "Is sora an evil nobophobic serial killer?" But yeah, I dont think so! You're right, he did what he had to do. I'd do the same too. He'd be a loser for just sitting on his little island and letting the worlds fall into chaos, and if he did that, everyone would be mad that he DIDNT kill them. >> I did pity organization members though, but not enough to let them have my heart.
