OK guys, my first post in the Discussion section. I need your help. I have a major semester project coming up for my religion class (due April 21 O.O), and I need to do a survey. Several surveys, in fact, but only one online. I would really, really appreciate it if you guys could fill out the following questionnaire (shouldn't take longer than any other thread out there) so I can get a good grade :D

Please just copy/paste the following 5 questions and answer them:

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affet what you do)?

NOTE: This is NOT a Debate topic - it is a Discussion topic. If you would like to debate this topic, please, please, PLEASE make a thread in the Debate Section, for the sake of my grade!

    EDIT:

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?

I'm Christian, what branch? I don't know, it doesn't really matter because I'm not religious, I have a relationship with God.

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?

If your talking about Church, I go only once or twice a year. Haven't gone once this year though.

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?

I pray every day. Before I eat, when I wake up, before I go to sleep. When I'm not doing anything. and I read my Bible.

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?

Um, God is important to me.

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affet what you do)?

10/10. A lot of people think Christians are weak, spineless, and use Jesus as a crutch, but that's not true. Jesus dies for us, so I live for him. I may not go to church, but I still have my bible for directions.

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?
    Catholic

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc)?
It's been years since I've been to one, so I'll say very rarely.

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?
    Never

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?
Not really. I don't go to church, I don't read the bible (let alone have one). I don't think about it very much unless someone else brings it up, and it doesn't affect who I'm friends with.

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affect what you do)?
    3/10

What does that mean? Is religion still a major force in your life, anddo you feel it actually helps?

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affet what you do)?

    What? read the parenthesis

    Nah.

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?

To elaborate on #1, I don't believe in any traditional, established or westernized religions. Not to say I don't like religions, I think they are great in terms of philosophy and drive.

    MAJOR semester project?
    kinda procrastinated a lil, huh?

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?
Complicated, I was raised Catholic but I always went to Christian churches, Baptist to be more specific. So i'd say Christian Baptist.

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?
Haven't gone since sophomore year (I'm now a senior). Back then I went every Sunday morning, some Sunday nights, and camping in the summer

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?
I pray only on major occassions: when one of my teacher's husband died, when another one of my teachers was diagnosed with cancer, etc.

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?
No, aside from my Catholic grandmother crossing me before I leave for school, almost nothing religious about my day, except for debates

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affet what you do)?
I'm guessing that should say affect..but about...4. I use Christianity as....guidelines for my morals but that's it.

    Just need to say this:

Catholicism IS Christianity. Anything under the teachings of Jesus falls directly under Christianity. Catholicism was kind of the waking of the religious Christian community.

So to say you're Catholic but always went to a Christian Church, doesn't mean you're Christian but not Catholic. You're just following a different sect if that is the case.

    Thought I'd clear that up.

Well, I mean as a Southern Christian Baptist. My family is strictly Catholic, although I do know they are pretty much the exact same, they're some MINOR differences. I don't cross myself, etc.
I really don't know the differences but I'm kind of singled in my family for not being "as Catholic" as the adults.

    Sorry to get off-topic

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?
    Christian Catholic

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?
Every Sunday and the usual holidays

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?
    Every Sunday and Tuesday

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?
It depends on the person. For me, quite a bit, though its wavers quite a bit

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affect what you do)?
7/10. Being a Christian really gave started my morals, which, through my life, I've built up on. There are quite a few issues I have with what people say Christians should be, such as the whole gay/bi issue, and I believe in evolution coinciding with creation

Religion pretty much gave me the roots of my ideals, and what I've experienced grew those roots to what I am now.

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?
    Episcopal, a form of Protestantism/Christianity
    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?
Usually about 1-2 times a month, not quite every week but still.
    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?
Whenever I feel like it, really. I don't feel that there is a set time of day or a set place to do such things, but just to give a number I would say about 10-14 times weekly.
    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?
Yeah, not only my religion, but others are also shockingly relevant.
    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affet what you do)?
About 7, it by no means affects everything I do but a lot of things are done with my beliefs in consideration.

My specialty. I am king of procrastination. I can easily get this thing done in a week, provided I get enough responses (yes, I have other surveys planned, but not for here)

Thanks guys, keep the responses coming! At this rate, I'll have a nice amount of data by morning.

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to?

Christian... but I don't like go to church or anything. I don't really like organized religion (for me, other people may love it, which is good for them :) )

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?

I haven't been since I was like 7 years old, so it's been... 11 years now? Gosh I'm old... But I did attend Catholic high school so once a month we'd have mass.

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?

Ummm I pray every now and then? I feel like God doesn't care if I don't talk to Him every single day...

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?

Sure, I feel like I have a good, personal relationship with God.

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affet what you do)?

Umm I'd say... 5? Right in the middle haha.

    1) What religious denomination do you belong to? None, though I do practice some things from Buddhism, mostly for the actual science of meditation and such. I am more a philosopher and examiner of things instead.

    2) How often do you attend a religious service (once a week, once a month, etc) (if your religion does not include this, please put N/A)?
A few times a year I have gone to a Buddhist temple for meditation lessons but I do not attend any religious service.

    3) How often do you engage in religious ritual weekly (prayer, communion, other similar things)?
    Not at all.

    4) Do you feel that religion in general is still relevant to your daily life?
To me personally, no. However, when dealing with others who are religious, I do have an understanding of it as I was once too. For my own decisions in daily life, I do things because I feel they are more beneficial and positive to others and myself to do.

    5) On a scale from 1-10, with one being not relevant at all, how relevant is it (how often does your religion affect what you do)?
Not at all since I am not at all religious. I cannot say it does not affect how others view me when they learn I am not religious, but that's another matter. Answer = 1.

Hope that helps you out and good luck on your report!
