I already own the original CoM for the Gameboy, but I'm thinking about buying the remake. Thing is, I want to know if the system was really improved in anyway, if fighting in a 3D arena rather on a 3D plane is easier, and does the card system still bite? Any additional info would be appreciated. I just want to know if it's worth buying since I already own the old one.

Personally, from someone who beat the game, no. It's not worth it. The new sleighs are cool and the Organization's voices are nice to hear, but overall, it's not worth it. The card system is still suckish.

I think it is, since it's also more of a challenge than the original. Plus it looks so much better! I have the original as well and I still got the remake. I'm glad I did. There are also new cards and extra fights.

both quoted for truth, epecially number 2! xD this is definitly worth the buy, im hoping to get it for my birthday this month or christmas. i have the Japenese version, and beat BOTH stories, no cheats (didn't have much of a choice there, cog swap didn't let me xD)on sora's i got like... 25 hours, on riku's, 9 hours. so over 30 hours from both stories on proud! i assume about... 12.00 was for the Re:COM on the FM+ price tag, so.... it was worth it for the 2 game totaling over 60 hours with bonuses, but i have logged about 200 hours on both games

it is worth it. it's actually the best game in the entire series in my opinion. i actually wrote a review for this game, you can read it in the News section, in that "Fan Reviews" thing. it explains much better why it's a good game :)

I can't find the GBA version anywhere, so I'm gonna end up getting Re:CoM anyway. But the GBA version looked easier to handle in the commercials.

What do you mean is it worth it?
ive played it at a friends after playing the original i find it a lot easier to dodge enemy attacks than on the gba version where you really have no room to move the 3-d version rocks................but it makes larnexe awhole lot scarier when you can see her facial expressions

.....................Easier to handle my ass. Good luck with that.
Re:CoM is alot more easier to understand the Cards, but its not easy, you have to face alot of tricky enemies too, But Just to let you know, The Bosses do get harder and Harder, so yah. and you get to face Bosses you havent faced before in the game.

Although the card system is bad I think its worth it cuz its a whole new experience on the Ps2 besides u get to play as Riku which kick asses better than Sora.

Well, I took a look at some gameplay videos (in English, because it's not like I would understand them in Japanese) and the gameplay seems to have improved a bit. Such as the ability to automatically reload your deck instead of waiting for it to load when you run out. Question: Can you do this more than once during a battle?
And I'm leaving to Best Buy (Target has it at $20, but I have a gift card) to buy it, and my brothers paying 10. So, I'm fairly excited, but I'm also a bit worried about how exactly the card system improved (I didn't get much from the gameplay videos aside from the auto reload) and how reaction commands are implemented and if there are any other tweaks to the game that are improvements. Thanks.

The auto reload is only for Riku. For Sora it's still the same. You have to wait and charge it up to reload.

You've got a lot more maneuverability in Re than you do on the GBA version, which is very handy against heartless like the Fat Bandit, and such. Plus, it's just a tad easier to dodge certain attacks than in the GBA. If you do, great, if not, not a big loss, either.

It really depends on your opinion personally. If you strongly disliked the GBA CoM, you'll probably still dislike the PS2 version. Re: CoM had a lot of cool stuff added, but if you don't like the card system in general, it's probably not enough to make you like the game. However, if you liked the GBA version, then go for it. Re: CoM's pretty fun.
