Is It Illegal...?

Like theres a song I want off my little brothers game and we have cables so i can connect the PS2 the computer.

What I'm trying to ask is... is it illegal to sound record the song I want IF we own the game

You paid for the game, so you can do anything you want with it, I guess.

Well, there have been some cases where someone owned a DVD, copied it, and then sold them copies. So even if it is yours, there are still some rules you have to apply to. Just to sound record the song off the game is alright, but be careful with other stuff you do. Just ask if you need any other advice.

 

I believe its copyright infringement only if u try to redistribute it in anyway way. Meaning if u make an mp3 out of it, or put the song up on youtube, yeah, its illegal. But its for your own uses (your music) and its from YOUR game. YOU bought that game. So no, its not copyright infringement if u just put it on your iPod...dont trust me, but like the others said, I dont think people are going to care. As long as you dont reproduce to the internet without asking whoever produces the music...

 

Yeah, cause most everything good on Youtube has been taken off due to copyright infringement, which is why everyone is either asking, or giving the creator credit by saying so in their video description. Seriously, in this case, you'll be fine.

It becomes illegal when you start making money off things that aren't yours. Common sense that you aren't supposed to profit for other people's work.
