Is it bad that I've never played a Final Fantasy game?

I'll concede that XIII and XIII-2 have some good things about them, but XIV...well, let's just say it's getting a reboot for a reason.

I was talking about the games I'd actually played, though.

 

Final Fantasy 12 is the greatest open world RPG of all time. Further, the voice acting is just amazing. I got back to playing it while on a break from XIII and was blown away by how much better the voice acting is. Whoever decided to cast predominantly stage actors in for the English dub was an absolute genius.

 

I know, just wanted to make clear to the uninformed :3

 

14 isn't even out yet. It totally didn't come out a couple years ago and turn out to be a huge flop. No sirree. That is a thing that did not ever happen.

 

I dunno. I only played 13 so I can't really say....

Final Fantasy is a selection of cheeses. Some are tough, some leave a mild flavour, some are stinky or moldy. All of the preferences depend on you as an individual.

 

And then there's IX which is like mozzarella

You can dislike it but you're probably either lactose intolerant or insane

 

And I happen to love mozzarella.

For real though, OP, its not a bad thing that you haven't played any of them. Everyone has their preferences.

If you do want to play and I highly recommend 9 and 12 and maybe even 7 because they have really good storylines. That's just my opinion though. u__u

You mean the plot that was developed over 10+ hours is deeper and more enjoyable than the 2~ hour ones scrounged up from their respective films, and then no longer affect the game's story after you're done with said worlds?
