    is kingdom hearts chain of memories for playstation2 available in the us in english?
    and if it is, can it be played on a united states playstation?
    cause I heard that japans PS2 is different from ours.

    If you're talking about RE: Chain of Memoriesm, it's only japanese and I beleive it only comes with KH2 Final Mix+. You need a modified ps2 or swap magic to play it.

    No, its not. You have to import final mix+, and it comes with it. You have to get swap magic too.

    The jap PS2 has different firmware for regional purposes, so you need to hack the firmware to play jap content, or software to read every thing as unregional. second option is less reliable but by far safer so just go swapmagic if you're not 105% sure what you're doing or really rich.

    As for the game, it is not in english right now. There are rumors that Square will release a US verson/hackers will make an english game patch, but nothing is confirmed.

    Swap magic is a disk just like AR max or Gameshark. But instead of hacking for infinite health or something, it hacks it to allow you to play games from other regions. That's all there is to it.

    Someone else did the hacking for you. All you have to do now is buy the disks. insert swap magic, follow the directions, insert FM+ or RE:CoM and you're good to go. Except for the language thing but there are online guides to help you with the new stuff.
