Kingdom Hearts II Is Demyx a wimp or not.

The thing with him is he is friendly but since he is a nobody he has to listen to Org. XIII and when he gets mad, Major Blowout :p

 

He fought quite tenaciously in his final moments, didn't he?
So no, I don't think he's a wimp.
Plus, he used to have a strong heart as a human at least.

He's not a whimp. :D If he was a good guy, he would be so sweet and cool. But that's not the way it is sadly... it took me forever to beat him! (Power cord issue right after I finally beat him...) So no, he's not a whimp. :)

 

He is a nobody, so technicly, he cannot fear something. Even though, he still has a thought process, and there for, the way he thinks recommends that he do without fighting, and there for, he preferebly likes to run away instead of fighting.

so yes, he is a coward

 

Thinking about it now I think he is...Running away and stuff...He can fight, but he doesnt seem like he actually wants too. He seemed scared of Sora...

 

Well wouldn't you be afraid to if you saw a kid who has gravity defying hair which seems to stick out without hairjell, a midget duck that can talk and use magic, and a giant mutated dog carrying around a giant shield? o_O

 

I'd say Demyx is a bit of a pacifist... He's got all the power he needs, but he just doesn't want to fight directly and lets his water clones attack.

I wouldn't say he's a coward, he just doesn't like fighting... So he's the complete opposite of Larxene :p

 

I don't thinks hes a wimp, he doesn't like to fight but he will when he has to.

 

Demyx didn't approach me as a wimp. He basically was instead someone who was reacting off of a variety of emotions he had experienced in his former life. He seemed to me to be someone who was probably picked on a lot before he became a Nobody and didn't like to fight unless he was cornered because he preferred to be more peaceful.

Because Xemnas pretty much gave him orders that would definitely get him cornered again, and who wants to fight against Xemnas's orders, Demyx was put in a situation twice that made things bad for him. Had things been different and he could have found the strength of will to say he would not side with Xemnas, he may have been a great member of Sora's team. However, there were high odds against Demyx surviving too, just as there were with Axel doing so, and Axel was a lot more of a wild card than Demyx. I don't think Demyx was a wimp at all, but he was someone used to being picked on and possibly beaten up before he became a Nobody. He also did not seem to fit well in the Organization and by accounts in the novels and also from the game itself, Demyx just seemed to be a tool in the end with hopes he would get his heart back.

On a final note, though he doesn't tend to fight you 'direct' in his final fight, Demyx's battle was one of the hardest in the game, though part of the reason was that there were timing issues. Demyx knew when cornered he had to fight and he did so. A wimp would have ran and hid under a rock from both Sora and Xemnas. He wasn't only cornered by Sora but also by his orders he felt he dared to not disobey. Great stakes were on the line. In the end I have a lot of sympathy for the character.

 

He's not a coward, he cannot feel anything, although he puts up fake personalities to make it look like he has feelings... He's no coward though, he just can't really be bothered to fight...

Or he likes excercising and making it look like he's a wimp to make his prey seem confused and assume he's a weakling xD​

The only thing why he's so hard to beat is the time limit.

Everyone in the Organization can beat him in any second or minute.

 

Well, he doesn't fear fighting. But in his mind, he stratigicly puts it that he would rather run then fight, and there for, he is a coward ^_^

that guy is such a wimp. he could pass for a little girl. i hate demyx so much. no offense to anyone. his weapon was awesome tho.

remember when sora called him out saying he couldnt even fight. demyx just wimped out... then went psycho on sora's bit ch ass. xDDD i guess he is a bit badass enough to not be called a wimp. i just had to think about it.

No he is not a whimp. I just think he hated fighting, shouldn't that be a good thing? It was just his personality which made he seem like one.​

 

Demyx clearly is not a wimp. He is a master of deceit if anything. The melodious nocturne simply puts on this mask of facade to fool his enemies and even members in the organization for if he showed his true colors he would been viewed as a threat. To get out of situations and appear incompentient he acts carefree, plays dumb, and acts like he has a heart and is not the enemy. Demyx like the other members of the organization has his own agenda that specify his own means of surival and content by what ever means nessessary to acheive those goals.

One more thing I just had to say. Just because he ran away in the underworld doesn't mean he is a wimp. He just prefers not to fight unless he has to. If anything he is looking out for himself and avoids trouble by all costs. He just does what Xemnas orders and is told by the other higher ones what to do. In the novel, the reason he runs away is not shown in the game due to time constraints.

According to the novel he runs away because he tries to make a deal with Hades and the lord of the underworld rejects it and one can only imagine what that would be like.

 

Demyx is NOT a wimp, but plays upon deceit and he definitely did NOT run away from Sora. He was running from Hades whose temper is much like Axel when he gets angry so it probably reminded him of Axel.

He never ran away or even attempted to in the second confrontation with Sora, but mocked him. Sora was stupid to underestimate him because Demyx would of killed his butt if it weren't for his friends helping out.

 

No! He's not a wimp!!!! He is like one of the tuffest guys in the Organization to beat and he had the guts to fight a Keyblade-wielder even if he was a little afraid!
And he's cute like puppies!
