Indeed it is. When you are happy, you want to be more happy. When you are sad, you want to be more happy. When you are in love, you want to be loved in return. When you are bored, you want something to do. Badly.

Boredom has to be a emotion because everybody feels it, like almost everyday!
    I believe it is. xD

hmm... i would consider boredom an emotion, since its something you can definitely feel in comparison to nothing at all.

some ppl might even say that feeling "no emotion" can itself be an emotion LOL

I thinks it's an emotion. But I think 'no-emotion' is apathy...

Well if it is something you feel and experience then I wouldn't see why not. *shruggs* Boredom also leads to other emotions such as depending on your topic of interest or what your mind what's to do at that moment.

When you are bored it is simply because you have chosen nothing to do, not because there is nothing to do, so you choose to be bored. No I don't think boredom is an emotion.

Boredom is more of a state of mind, not necessarily an emotion. You feel other emotions when you're bored, not the other way around. lol

I'd say it's more of a state of mind or being rather than emotion. If you're bored, you're not motivated to do anything. Motivation is an emotion. The lack of motivation is a lack of emotion. Catch my drift?

Also think about it this way: We say "I'm bored", not "I feel bored". The latter just sounds odd to me.

Never thought about it that way, but I do think it is.

I believe it is. I mean you feel it mentally, right?
