358/2 Days Is anybody else really starting not to like Sora now? (SPOILERS)

After watching all the cutscenes, Sora is really F'd up. This dude is causing identity crisises left and right. Roxas learning he's only a half of somebody else. Xion learning she's an incomplete clone and went seemingly crazy. Riku turned into Xehanort's heartless for this guy. Diz DIED for him.
All of these people are losing themselves, identities and other such things and what is Sora doing?



Some hero.... Does anybody else feel like Sora's a real bad guy here after watching or playing Days?

 

Yea I used to love Sora until I played KH2, then I loved Roxas, but after seeing 358/2 days I don't like Sora as much, he is just so perfect and silly, while he's causing pain and sufffering to Roxas and Xion! Sora is just kind of a perfect character that gets annoying now. I hope they spice Sora up and put more pain for him in the next KH games

 

I often wondered that myself, I mean Sora does seem to be causing a lot of people a lot of trouble after only hearing one side of a story. But then I thought "It's Disney." there's no shades of grey. Only black and white, good and bad, light and dark. And seeing as Sora is 'Light' then he HAS to be good and has to be in the right and everyone else deserves what they get or cause it to themselves.

But at least the whole idea of him causing trouble for the Organization and Riku etc makes for some interesting angsty fanfiction I guess.

I do hope that some of you know that half of the things happening are not in his fault entirely. He was asleep for a year. He had nothing to do with the characters' decisions or what they suffered through except make them exist. His memories were the ones that were messed with, not that he did it on purpose to make his other selves have bad lives. He didn't tell Xemnas or Vexen to make a Replica of himself. The Xion idea was kind of stupid anyway. There was no reason to make it complicated just for some plot device to be created.

What he needs to do is stop being pregnant.

Somebody get this boy a birth pill before the next thing we know he has another part of himself made with his energy this time.

 

Well he is a bit naive, but I don't think he's a bad guy.
He is putting a lot of stress on his friends and they are all getting into situations because of him.
Although it would be a HUGE plot twist if he just went evil on everyone.

 

LOL I still can't believe that actually happened. Though I agree with the first paragraph entirely. Shouldn't we have Kairi have a birth pill to?

 

Nah. Her only creation was Naminé. And even then, the blonde girl is connected to Sora in some form, and has power over his memories.

Xion just looks like Kairi because of certain circumstances. Think of Xion like a missing chain of memory that holds Sora's memories of Kairi. Thus, the appearance. But everything else is technically Sora.

Let's not even get to Ven.

 

He's just clueless. Very clueless. Roxas being born and Xion being created weren't his fault. Riku had his own identity crisis in KH1 and is finding his way back to his real friends and helping Sora. Sora did a lot for Riku too, so it's not like he doesn't care.

However, he was pretty mean in KH2 to the Organization. All they wanted was a heart, to exist, just to be. And even after he learned what a Nobody was, he taunted them about it and killed them left and right. He could have talked, reasoned with them, try to help them realize that there's happiness and help them get their hearts. Come on, he's supposed to be the good guy here, yet he acted like a total one sided jerk. Basically, "I'm light and good and you're evil, i kill you!"
Compared to KH1 Sora, who also naive, at least did the right thing most of the time. Like that whole cutscene in Hollow Bastion where he confront Riku and says "My friends are my power!" Square nailed the vulnerable yet very strong and heroic aspects of his character.
Then in KH2 we have him practically laughing at the Organizations attempt to exist fully, not even caring one bit about them. Did he sleep his senses away? jeez.

 

People would argue that.

I do agree, however, on his change in KH2. I liked his KH1 self better. He was naive, but not outrageously stupid to the point where Goofy seems smarter. And not as sassy or short-tempered, or harnessing emo. Nomura calls it teen wangst and growing up. I call it done weird.

But that must be the Roxas inside him. You know, the adorable blond punk who was so innocent in the beginning and all the crap in Days turned him into the little rude, aggressive, angry badass we know and love.

 

Nah Sora still sucks. He is very childish, and just gets annoying.

 

I never was a huge Sora fan myself. Too naive for my tastes, to be honest.

 

I think they turned Sora into a Gary-Stu:P

 

Actually I think Sora's cliched story makes KH unique,
Other games only focus on their main characters and make their villains pure evil.
KH actually made us feel sorry for the villains which is quite interesting to say the least.

um i totally agree when it comes on to riku... espeicailly what went on in CoM
but for Xion and Roxas no offence but get over it they're nobodies they dont matter, nor Exist... for Xion you should blame kairi if you want someone to blame. but i Feel as if sora is to "gifted".. sora seems so gain power from others automatically, And characters such as Riku and roxas are more of those who would work for nothing but in the process their contributing to sora... And to me the worste part of any of this is that sora doesnt even know what was going on... so its pretty sad if you think about it, he was in castle oblivion with riku,! the one he was looking for and doesent remmember a thing....

and diz didn't really die for sora alone he was sacrificing himself to save everyone, not just sora.

 

....It's not like Sora ASKED for any of that.

 

Yeah, it is not Sora's fault, but I think the real deal is that there is actually none or minimum remorse from Sora to these unlucky beings. He just stares at them while they fade away. Sora is truly evil in this manner :P

 

Pfffff- Hell no. None of that was Sora's fault. Riku didn't want to turn into Xehanort's heartless, Roxas owes his existence to Sora (even though he is a nobody) and Sora had nothing to do with Xion, besides that his memories were used to create her. And Diz died to save everyone, and it was his own fault for trying to encode Kingdom Hearts as data.


Bottom Line: NONE OF THIS IS SORA'S FAULT!!!
