    I'm sorry, but I think you forgot the existence of the Electoral College. The Popular Vote, this 'we' you speak of, doesn't actually vote for the candidates. The Popular Vote just decides which candidate's electors are chosen to represent your state. These Electors then vote which candidate will become President.

    Yes, I do realize the existence of the Electoral College and how the Election process works. Sorry if my post reflected otherwise. I am watching the debate right now, but I was just expressing my general pessimism over the candidates.
