Iron Army

Cat heard the explosion and flew out to the apartment where Leon was. She just got there to hear them both say brother and she gasped. Her helmet had been fitted to keep anything she said form being heard on the outside. "W...what!?" She couldn't understand it. She never imagined that Leon had a brother let alone wanted to kill him. She saw writings on the wall. They looked like plans for a mass homicide and she realized that Leon's brother was infected. "Jarvis, is there any trace of the virus in Leon's brother?"

 

"Is this the part where we have a dramatic show down, before one of us dies?", Leon's brother, Alexander, asked jokingly in attempt to anger his brother into an attack.

Leon remained silent. He had finally found his brother. He was finally able to finish what he started. His hand slowly gripped into a fist then became loose again. A sign that he could fire any second.

"You killed our parents then you came for me only last time, I was madder than you. This infection I supposedly have has let me see things your way. But enough talk, we're not exactly the chatty duo." Alexander drew a knife from the back of his leather pants and held it forwards.

Walking forwards Leon raised his fist, looking like he was about to shoot but instead quickly dashed forwards and punched his brother forcing him to drop the knife on the floor. He popped his helmets face open and watched his brother fall to his knees then onto his side as Alexander fell unconscious. As soon as he stopped moving Leon picked up his brother and flung him over his shoulder, closed his helmet and turned to head away.

 

Cat looked in awe at what had just happened. She never thought that family affairs could get out of hand as much as they did with Leon and Alex. She came out of stealth mode whlie she was in front of Leon. "Leon... why do you and your brother hate each other so much? You should be glad that you have any family left at all." Cat's hand balled up into a fist and tears started falling down her cheeks, but her helmet was on so Leon couldn't see.

 

Leon stood silent as he looked at Cat through his helmet. He said no words as he passed her and carried his twin brother off down the corridor. Thinking as he waited for the elevator, Leon was trying to understand why she mentioned hatred. Neither hated one another. It was something stranger than that. Something that might even be considered insane.
The elevator arrived and Leon carried his brother in with him without checking to see if Cat was still following him and headed to the highest floor then the roof via the stairs.

 

Cat just standed there. She didn't even know why she was crying. This wasn't any of her business but she couldn't help getting involved. She turned around and saw the elevator doors closing, Leon was inside carrying his brother. She saw from the icon on top of the elevator that they were headed to the highest floor. She turned on stealth mode and flew up to see if she could prevent any further conflict. Alex didn't look like he would stay unconscious for longer than thirty minutes.

 

Kam had reached the bases energy core after wandering around the long and dark corriders dotted throughout the maze of a HQ.
"Hmmm…"
He raised his PDA device infront of the main generator, beeping as he scanned the equipment.
"So... Dark matter energy isn't part of the main power generator. Uses plasma based design of Starrk's original clean power source, used to sustain his own life." he chuckled, "Seems it didn't last long enough for him to die of old age."
Kam flicked his PDA shut as he left once again waiting in the Kitchen he noticed one of the Iron army members using it earlier.

 

As Cat was flying up to the roof she thought about some things. So much had happened in the past twenty-four hours. She almost couldn't believe it. She also couldn't believe that Leon had a brother let alone hated him. "Jarvis, give me a visual on the base. I wanna see what that Kam kid is doing." She saw that Kam was scanning the power generator and heard what he said. "So... Dark matter energy isn't part of the main power generator. She couldn't help but get mad at that last statement. "Jarvis, tap into the speakers at base. I'm gonna have some fun. Also, use the voice changer on me. Make me sound like Tony."
"Yes mam."
"Oh... this is gonna be fun." When the light on the h.u.d. was on that indicated that she was tapped into the speakers she spoke. Her voice sounded exactly like Tony's so everyone who heard it could come to the same farfetched conclusion.
"HEY, what do you think you're doing kid? Scanning my power source, not to mention laughing at my death."

 

"Woah, you're not that mousey sounding Jarvis..."
He looked at the security cameras.
"And you've got an attitude so your a human... You don't by chance happen to be the owner of this fair establishment? And sorry about scanning he equipment... Mr Starkk… I presume?"

 

OOC: It's Stark not Starkk
BIC: "Well well aren't we the smart one? I can't believe that Cat actually left you alone in here. Normally she'd be more careful about these things. Anyway I wanna ask you something. Do you think i'm still alive?" Cat wanted to see what he said and if he could actually come to a logical conclusion. Meanwhile she reached the roof and saw Leon still holding his brother. They had just come out of the door that said stairs.

 

Leon reached the roof at last. Looking over the city for a minute he thought of a place to go and started to fly upwards then across the city landscape just above the sky scrappers. His brother was now held in his arms for better carrying and so he doesn't fall off or get air damage even though Leon was moving rather slowly.

 

Cat saw that Leon had started flying and followed him. "Why..." She thought. "... why does the world have to be like this? So hateful, cruel... and deadly. I hate the world like it is now. I just wanna change it. I just wanna save lives and keep what happened to Tony and my family from happening to anyone else." She kept flying and thinking about this.

 

As Leon was flying he reached the outside of the city before noticing Cat was following him. He patched himself into her radio through the system, "Don't follow. This is family business", he stated as he boosted his flight speed to a faster yet still harmless speed for his brother. If he wanted to kill him it didn't make sense as to why he was trying to not injure him with flight speed. Leon's behaviour was odd for what Cat assumed.

 

Cat was surprised and turned off communications to the base for the moment. She spoke into the helmet, hoping that Leon would hear her out. "Leon, what are you planning to do with him? He's your brother. You can't possibly want to... kill him. Do you?"

 

"If your dead?"
He chuckled. "The fact you asked puts it into question. You could be alive, hiding out from the world but you like the spotlight too much to stay in the shadows."
He started to pace the room in thought of his words.
"Then agagin you could be that Jarvis using old recordings of Stark to make coherent words, but that computer isn't creative, be wouldn't mess with my head like that. Which leaves one more possibility… since Cat is now the current occupant of this base she'd have access to the speakers and voice altering equipment, not to mention the desire to do so since obviously she's been keeping me in lock down since I arrived here. Cat's a kid who would like to play a prank."
He smirked, "So did I guess right 'Mr Stark'?"

 

Leon didn't reply. Then he disconnected from the network disappearing off the radar and the radio as he dived downwards to low ground and vanished under the many routes of the highway.

OOC: I won't be able to post often for the next week, so I might as well make my characters disappear for a little bit until I can come back xD

 

OOC: Alright Danny. Thanks for letting me know.
BIC: Cat heard Kam's reply and was in shock that he could figure it out so easily. She wanted to keep the prank going for a bit longer so she replied.
"Very nice observations shorty. You remind me of Cat a little. She would always see through these types of pranks. As for your guess i'm not answering it. I'm letting you figure that one out for yourself. I'll tell Cat about it when she arrives and removes the suit. If you tell her the right answer then we'll work out a little bonus prize for ya. Alright?" While she said all of this Cat had been flying back to base herself. She wanted to know if Kam would still trust his instinct even after "Tony's" response. She kept her cool and didn't let a hint of doubt show through her voice. She arrived at the hangar and began to have a conversation with "Tony" using the voice changer quickly and seamlessly.
"Cat, the kid thinks you've been playing a prank on him."
"Well, why would he think that?"
"He thinks you hacked into the speakers and tried to imitate my voice."
"Well, that's a pretty clever guess as to why he's hearing your voice."
"You wanna know if he still thinks that?"
"Let's go find out Tony." She walked out calm and collected making sure that the voice changer was off and out of reach of Kam. "So, I heard why you think you've been hearing Tony speak. You still think that's true? I hear that he tried to convince you otherwise."

 

Scythe looked at the tank where the vaccine was being finalized "Cat I have finished the vaccine we are fully restocked, heh it was a little quicker then i expected." Scythe entered the command for the machine to start packaging the vaccines individually

 

"Huh... Kid, we're in the middle of a global crisis and you want me to play along? If you want to show a glimmer of maturity pull yourself together and respect me for helping you out."
Kam was angry from the constant prank and let it show. He calmed down and apologised.
"I-I'm sorry about that… tense time and all…"
He rubbed his eyes and chin.
"Well to tell you the truth I figured it out through a little hacking. Whilst scanning your hardware I was able to access your intenal system data and discovered tha the only audio data connecting to the speakers were comming from your suit."IMam looked to the floor.
"I was sorry. To hear about Mr Stark, by the way, shame he had to leave us so soon… a genius doesn't come across everyday."

 

Cat looked at Scythe and nodded. She was glad to have more batches of the syrum. After hearing the last few words that Kam said she looked at him. The sadness in her face showed. "Ah don't be sad. True that geniuses like him don't show up often but the few that still do usually don't care about others as much. That's what i'll miss about him the most. That's also the reason that he left us. He cared too much about Pepper and Rhody." Cat almost started crying at the mention of Tony let alone the thought of him dying. She only let a single tear slip but she was looking down so Kam couldn't see her face. She wiped her face and looked up at him. "Well, we'd better get the syrum ready. If it's not ready then we can't have it ready in case of emergency." She heard the alarm that meant that the syrum was ready. She took beakers and syringes and put doses of the syrum in it. Afterwards she put it in a case. "Well... that takes care of that. Oh, and sorry about the prank earlier. Just wanted to see if youd jump to an unbelieveable conclusion right off the bat but you do a fair amount of thinking before making a conclusion. I think I made a good choice putting you on the team." Cat smiled at Kam after saying this.
