Iron Army

Scythe followed but didnt land and saw cat being aimed at with a gun. he pointed a laser at the one holding the gun "you dont want to do that....."

 

Kam had noticed a glimmer from the corner of his eye.
"Woah!"
He redirected his gun back and forth to each stranger.
"I knew the world was turning upside-down, but meeting you guys, now I know somethings not right."

 

Scythe continued to point his laser "put the gun down, because if you dont and you happen to shoot one of us at the most maybe you will scratch the paint and then we shoot you turning you into a pile of ash so what will it be?"

 

"Why are we arguing like this guys? Maybe the girl was infected. We don't know if it was real murder of justified self-defense. So calm down Scythe. Sorry about that..." Cat took off her helmet and looked at the stranger. She then gestured at Kam to put the gun down. "I'm Cat and this is Scythe. If you're trying to fight off the infected then I think that you'd be a good addition to our team. We'd just have to make sure that... well... that you're not... one of them."

 

So much is happening… Kam began to feel pain.
"Ah my head…"
He griped his head between his hands screaming in pain, both eyes began to burn. His vision was blurred and he made out black figures where the strangers once stood.
"S-stay away!!"
he lifted his gun whilst walking backward.

 

"What!? HE... HE'S...!" Cat began to understand why the stranger had killed the woman. He was infected and he was about to kill the both of them next. She put her helmet back on and went into stealth mode. "SCYTHE! GET OUT OF THE WAY! HE'S INFECTED!"

 

"What the--?"
So much pain, he couldn't stop it. The image of his mother appeared into his head.
"I need to stop this - now!"
He began running, all the way back to his home. Kam knew only one thing now, to stop all pain, everyone's pain.

 

"WAIT!" Cat knew what Kam was about to do... and he wouldn't let him ruin his life. If he was able to fight it at all she was going to make him hold on as long as he could. She flew after him still in stealth mode. He couldn't see or touch her but he could hear her very clearly.

 

A fizzle came over on the radio then words followed, "I have a shot on the infected", Leon said as he had stayed behind to clear up any of the ooze in case it infected someone else and was now catching up to Cat and Scythe, having heard what had occurred over the radio.

 

"LEON HELP ME! THIS GUY... HE'S INFECTED AND HE'S GONNA... JUST GET OVER HERE NOW! I'LL SEND YOU MY COORDINATES!" Cat saw Kam run into a house and she knew that this must be his home. "HE JUST WENT INTO A HOUSE! I'M IN STEALTH MODE SO I'M SAFE BUT WE'VE GOTTA SAVE WHOEVERS INSIDE!"

 

"It would be less hassle for us to just be rid of the infected and now possible new infected", Leon suggested over the communications as he flew closer to Cat's location from the opposite direction. He was not concerned for them, he only cared of destroying the infected.

 

"ARE YOU INSANE? WE HAVE TO HELP WHOEVER IS ABOUT TO DIE! THAT'S THE REASON THAT TONY KILLED HIMSELF... to help the infected. WE CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE UNNECESARY DEATHS FROM THE VIRUS! WE HAVE TO DO THIS! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO THEN I'LL DO IT BY MYSELF LEON!" Cat was determined to save whoever was inside that house... with or without reinforcements.

 

"Too many voices!!!" he screamed out. He let his feet take him all the way home. Kam had told his mother to stay indoors and to keep safe with all the problems occurringhe wanted her safe and to only respond to his voice.
Stepping into his house, it was quiet all around.
"Mother… come to your son…"

 

Leon went silent again. He continued to head to Cat's location, any of the others wouldn't be far behind as her backup. He would act as the Plan B. If Cat couldn't stop the infected and more infected appeared he would make sure it would go no further through the harshest yet most effective way he could think of. Melting away the virus along with the bodies. He would still give curing and saving them a chance but his Plan B was set in his mind.

 

"HOLD IT!" Cat entered the house, turned off Stealth Mode, and pointed at Kam. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? YOU'RE GONNA KILL YOUR OWN MOTHER!? I would've thought that a son would have more self control over the disease. ESPECIALLY when it comes to murdering your own family." Cat hated saying this as it reminded her of her own family affair with the virus, but she hoped that this would help give Kam some more self control.

 

Kam simply looked at Cat. He lifted his arm and pulled the trigger.
"This is not your business..."
"Kam, what was that noise...?" a womans voice came from afar.
He ran through the corriders of the house, following the voice.

 

"Don't come mam! It isn't safe out here! Your son is not feeling well but i'll take care of him! I ask that you please stay where you are."

 

"SHUT UP!!! Mother!"
He saw a figure resembling his mother behind a screen.
"We will stop the pain."
and he shot three times at the figure, only to discover that the image just shattered. It was a mirror.
"No!" he'd finished the rounds, with no bullets to spare. He picked up a mirror shard and began his hunt anew.

 

"WOULD YOU STOP IT!" Cat yelled at Kam. She took off her helmet, tears dripping down her face. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! IF YOU DO THIS YOU'LL REGRET IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!"

 

His head hurt so much, shrieking over and over he couldn't stop the pain, but Kam whispered one thing in the air.
"Please… stop - me now…somehow…"
He screamed raising the shard and running at Cat.
