Iron Army

"Alright. Well that leaves Leon and Helisi. If those two ever show up I say we go for the kid who placed the land mine." Cat was flying further out to look for both the infected Jared and for the last two of her comrades.

 

"...". Leon didn't reply to the message as he stood on the ground scanning the area around himself for any signs of infected or otherwise. The area was clear as far as he could tell and jetted off upwards into the sky. Clearly visible to the other Iron Army members. There was barely any damage to the suit, a land mine of Middle Eastern design wasn't as effective as the latest high tech bomb. The heads up display in the helmet showed that only 8% of the suit was damaged, a lucky escape from the blast at the last minute insured that this damage was all he had suffered instead of a possible 24%. The thought of a high tech land mine would of done at least 37% on a direct impact. A chance of death even for those who can ignore the fear of being hit like Leon. An ignorance that is suspicious considering the multiple stories of his past life.

OOC: Question, what do we refer to ourselves as Iron Men? Iron Army members? Iron Soldiers? Ironhide?

 

OOC: Well i'd prefer that we be reffered to as the "Iron Soldiers" mainly because Iron Men wouldn't work out so well for mine or Aura's characters.

BIC: "*sigh* You never change do you Leon? Well I suppose it can't be helped. I'll go look for Helisi. The rest of you, FIND JARED! If we can cure him he may be a valuable asset to the team. Plus maybe he knows where others are."

 

Helisi hovered nearby everyone else, staring at the area where the land mine had exploded. "I'm alright," she finally said, turning her attention away from explosion. She flew closer towards the group, hoping the same mistake wouldn't happen again.

 

"Alright, the whole team's okay. Now split up and search for the kid! We need him if we're ever gonna gt a breakthrough in learning more about the infected." Cat flew out away from the group past where the land mine had exploded when she saw someone running towards the cave where Tony had originally been captured by the Ten Rings. "Guys. I found one. I'm heading in for a better look." Cat turned on stealth mode in hopes that if another explosion went off she wouldn't get caught in it.

 

OOC: I also assume we're going off the current movies? Just so I don't start saying things that happened in the comic timelines xD

BIC: Floating in the sky with the right balance of the thrusters and stabilisers, Leon watched as Cat flew down into a cave and waited till she disappeared from sight before moving. He followed her flight route down but instead of entering the cave went behind it and started rigging devices he brought along from the back to the front of the cave. He was setting up a trap incase of emergency. If he didn't blow the charges within 8 hours they would disarm themselves and burn up the machinery inside. He then proceeded to wait above the cave entrance, standing on a jutting out rock. He was prepared for a backup or escape plan.

 

OOC:Yes we are going away from the storyline of the comic. This is a whole separate universe.

BIC:Cat walked through the cave ready to blast anyone or anything necessary to survive. She turned on the light in the eyeholes of her helmet and saw all of the Stark Weapons that were stockpiled along the sides of the cave. This made her remember her past conversations with the late Tony Stark.

OOC:This next part is a flashback just so you guys know. Red is Tony talking and Blue is Cat.
BIC:"Tony..."
"Yeah?"
"...why do you risk your life when all you have to do to survive is just make weapons?"
"Simple, it's because those same weapons that put me in the lap of luxury have put others in their graves."
"Well why do you still risk your life now... with the infection that's been spreading?"
"Because I hope that one day there will be a cure. I'll risk my life every day if that's what it takes to cure the infected... because now... more than ever... Rhody and Pepper need me."
"Well why not just let me do it? After all I lost my family to the infection. You have everything and yet you..."
"How can you say that I have everything... if the people I care about the most... the people that mean everything to me... are the people who need a cure now more than ever?"
"Wait... does that mean..."
"Yes... Rhody and Pepper were infected... about a week ago."
OOC:End of flashback

BIC: Cat hated remembering that conversation because that conversation took place the day before Tony died. She focused on the mission and heard footsteps ahead of her. She was still in stealth mode so she ran after the mysterious person.

 

Scythe was behind everyone else. "Has anyone found anything of great significance yet? because i think i have found something." he got uot a camera and took a picture of a strange greyish goo substance "if that is what i think it is i had better not touch it."

 

"Wait... you found... IT!?" Cat was still on the trail of the mystery man. She continued to chase after him while trying to come up with a plan to take a sample of the goo that Scythe had found. "Leon!" Cat yelled into the helmet. "If someone were to get a sample of that goo could you burn away that part of their armor quick enough that it wouldn't harm them? If so then someone has to get a sample. I can fix their suit as soon as the mission is done." The mystery man ran into hidden tunnel that Cat didn't see. She looked around and couldn't find them so she went out and told Leon. "... blow the place to bits Leon. It's full of Stark Weapons from God knows when and I lost the guy. I'm gonna go investigate the goo."

 

As soon as he was given the order Leon had taken off to prepare to gain a sample of the ooze when a second order came in. Pulling the trigger of the detonator he had the explosives counted down from five in seconds. By then Cat had already cleared the area before the explosion buried the cave. Making sure that even the trigger was useless so no harm could come of it he melted it with his acidic spray and dropped it as he flew. The detonator rotted away before it touched the sand.

Following his objective he landed near Scythe and prepared to fire a higher pressurised series of acid squirts at the apparatus or soon to be discarded armour that touches the ooze. Now all he had to do was wait for one of the other team members to collect a sample and discard what ever they touched it with for it to be corroded.

 

"I guess that i'm gonna have to be the one to touch it. Oh well... here goes." Cat took a handful of ooze from the puddle on the desert sand. "Leon, spray my arm please." She was disgusted by the ooze and upon looking at it she would think of all the painful experiences of her life. It was as if they all flashed before her eyes.

 

As commanded Leon sprayed the armour on her arm with the acid a few times. It would take a minute so she would have to contain the sample and discard her melting armour piece before it corroded and dripped onto her arm.

 

Scythe looked around "there has to be some infected nearby either that or our mystery man has weaponized the ooze"

Personality: Manipulative. He would rather direct others into the fight than let himself get hurt, not that he isn’t capable, it is just that Kam would rather not dirty himself. Generally cold and calculated in approach but can be very deceptive.

Time and reason for infection: Whilst walking home from work, he saw the glimmer of goo down an alleyway, and whilst investigating became infected.
Plan for Homicide: Resisting as much as possible to not kill his mother living in his spare room for time being. Has fantasised of killing by stabbing slicing, poisoning her tea, but is attempting to quiet the thoughts.
History: Works as an information broker, managing secret information that isn’t released to the public, and as a result either sells it to other people and companies for a great profit or blackmails people, companies or even countries in order to acquire money, technology or further information.
Specialties: Trained in martial arts, he is capable of hand to hand combat and using conventional and unconventional weapons where available.
Other Information:

Btw, do I include now or later armour abilities and the such, in the case that I get cured and join the Iron Soldiers?
And is this infection visible like affecting you appearance and actions like being brain dead or really strong? Or are you just a normal person with murderous ideas?
Also, are the people I want to kill infected or uninfected?
One more thing, how is it spread, like zombie bites, scratches or getting hit by this goo stuff?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a base idea of what I am able to do.

BIC:"Well Leon just blew up a cave full of Stark Weapons. maybe they filled them all up with the ooze? And maybe they're planning to use it to infect more people." When Cat saw that the piece of armor with the ooze on it was about ready to come off she pulled it off and let it fall to the ground. "Alright. We've got our sample. I say we head back to analyze it. We may find a clue on getting an antidote mass produced."

 

"well we should head back soon this place makes me a little uneasy" Scythe waited paitently to be given the order to go.

 

"Alright team. Move out." Cat grabbed the part of the arm that didn't have ooze on it and flew back towards Stark Industries to analyze it. If it was what she thought it was then if she compared it with some of the antidote it would be nearly a perfect match.

 

OOC: Thanks very much. And if I am given some space to design the infected I'm gonna say that they probably have some symptoms before going psycho.

BIC: The air was hot again. The sun was beating down on Kam as he was walking home from work again, more vigilant than ever before. He remembered being attacked by some sort off goo 6 days earlier, but his memories were sketchy. With the string of mass murders were rising it was if half the population was either dead or… something worse. The streets were bare. Where was young Amir running with his friends after school, or the old lady selling fresh fruit on the corner. Everything was fading.
Suddenly a woman ran down the street shrieking out loud, running towards him.
Kam checked the gun in his jacket. He wouldn't die from any mad person walking the streets. He pulled it out and squeezed the trigger, the sound echoing for miles. (that's a hint for you guys)

 

OOC:It is not visible. You simply begin to hallucinate and think of murder, suicide, and homicide until you just can't help it and do it.
Your victims can be either one but are usually uninfected.
It can be spread by the goo or by contact with one of the infected. Like if you're caught in teh crossfire of a homicide by the infected you may catch the disease because the virus will be spread in the air. Hope this clears up most of your doubts.

BIC: Cat heard the gunshot and was startled. "What the...? TEAM, LETS MOVE!" Cat dropped the arm piece and flew out towards the sound of the gunshot. It's echo barely perceptible anymore. By the time she had reached the source she only saw the dead body and a man holding a gun. His finger still on the trigger...

 

He turned swiftlyto point the gun at this stranger who flew In, covered in a shining armour.
"Listen honey, I've killed one beautiful lady, let's not make that same mistake with you too."
This stranger… the Iron armour… it feels familiar.
"Just turn around and go home, these roads aren't safe anyhow. Ha, and I don't mean me." he said tapping the guns grip.
