Some people say the Zune is just an iPod wannabe, some say it's better. What do you think?

I'm going to have to say iPod, because that's what I have. I'm loyal to it. :> Zunes are cool; I never had one but I've played with them in the store and people seem to like them, but like I said, gotta stick with my iPod.

I have a Zune and I love it... don't see why people hate the software, it's a shitload better then itunes.

30 Gigs of Microsoft > ipod

    imo.

    Zune.

Bigger screen. Wireless file sharing. Built-in FM tuner. Video output capability. $15 a month to download as much in their media library as you want.

I may not have either of them, but I do have iTunes, and it absolutely SUCKS. I can't even find a way to transfer the songs I got there off the program (so I can play them on my Media Player and use them in Vegas) without using a disc. Aside from that, it's clunky and doesn't have NEARLY as complete a song library as it claims to have.

Therefore, I will have to shun any Apple products, and say Zune.

I enjoy using my iPod. Although I dont actually buy music, the iTunes software is easy enough for me to get around. Zunes do look pretty cool I guess, I've never used one before, but iPod still seems like its holding its monopoly (or close to it) over the mp3 player industry so they've got to be doing something Zune is not. Either that or Zune is forever trying to catch up...

Um...you can't exactly debate on which mp3 is better if you talk about the software each use...iPods do work on other software than iTunes. Like Rhapsody.

Untrue. Many programs support iPods, including Winamp and I believe Media Player. iTunes does however encode the files downloaded off of the iTunes music store in a special format that is specific to iTunes (although I do believe you can download things that will allow other programs to use the file type).

And child, you can't complain about the what's in the iTunes store because first of all, it's not the only place in the world to get music legally, and secondly, I believe it's the artist (or the recording company) who puts them on there.

I'm just going to say that I love my iPod Touch. Touch screen = win.

Of course, I have no idea if a Zune has a touch screen or not. *knows nothing about Zunes*

I guess that iPods have been around longer and have pretty much dominated the mp3 player industry.

I know. That's why I stopped using it. It was a far inferior choice than others. Actually, I haven't gotten any new songs in a while, on account of not having any money.

That's not exactly a good reason to think that... If you've never had anything else, how do you know something else isn't as good or better than your iPod?

I have to say zunes, i mean i got an ipod before my zune, and now that the new ipod nano came out, its seems to be a little bit of a rip off (except the shape) because the way the screen or abulm cover is presented is just like the zune, and i honestly think ipods are too plain as zunes are MAGICAL and it seems im like the only person on the planet who never had problems with a zune before

    Ipod. Why?

Because every other brand of mp3 player has crashed on me and I've spent hundreds of dollars on things that don't even make it a week out of the store. Apple has had some pretty good ideas for their products. Although they aren't perfect it is still possible for them to improve. It's not written in stone or anything.

It's overly complex, and it's just so annoying to use. iTunes keeps it simple, and basic and easy to use. :l

Gotta stick with my New Ipod Nano. Haven't had a problem with it in forever. But you see this was my first Ipod ever. So when I was charging it i took it off a little early and it said it was full. I had it on for 5 minutes and it turned off. and i was like WADDDDD DUUUH FREEEAAAKK!? and then my friend told me if you charge it for 15 minutes it'll sya its full but it'll die quickly. so i charged for about 2 hours and it was good. Haven't ever had a problem with it yet! =D

I've never used a Zune, so I can't really comment on it.

My Ipod works fine for the most part, asides the occasional annoying shit that happens.
