would it be okay to maybe move the Introduction thread to the top of the forum rather than the bottom ? When joined here a few weeks ago, was really confused and didn't know where to make the first introduction post until found it straight at the bottom of the forum..

Just thought that it might be easier for newcomers to see when they want to join and make their first introduction thread and post. Thanks for reading the suggestion !

I personally think that it shouldn't be at the top.

The Rules and News should definitely be top place, as the News is what most people come here for at first, plus the rules can't be missed then either. Added to that is the fact that Forum Updates and news also can't be missed when that section is in the top place.

However I do think that it would be a pretty good idea if it was second before the Kingdom Hearts section.

    That way it flows better:

    • Rules and News
    • Off Topic (Which could really do with a name change though I have no idea what to)
    • Kingdom Hearts
    • Gaming
    • Interests
    • Fun and Games

Kinda adding to what CtR said. I think the introduction section might be suited better at the top below the news and updates along with the departure subsection but not the entire off topic section.
It'd be odd to have forum support as well as technical problems near the top since it's not largely used. Plus if suggestions is up there it'd look kinda desperate if you can see what I mean.
    So it'd look like this:

    Rules and News
    Introduction
    Kingdom Hearts
    Gaming
    Interests
    Fun and Games
    Off Topic

I know exactly what you mean, and I did think the same initially, I'm not sure how it would look to just have Introductions and Departures as a little section of its own though if that makes sense?

Other than that I fully agree with your post xD

Maybe a complete new look at the way things are set out at the moment would be beneficial and give the place a bit of a kick-start.

Ah, yeah, it'd be kinda odd for introductions and departures to have a teeny branch off the tree now that you mention it xD

I agree it makes sense for Introductions to be where Fayt suggested, but as I already said, having Introductions and Departures in its own tiny tiny little section will not look good. You have to think about what will look good to potential new members. A forum that looks as though it has just been thrown together with no real thought will just look like a mess, the appearance of things is very important.

Yes it will make it easier for new members to find the section, but you run the risk of making the forum look crap as a result.

well hopefully people would go by
    don't judge a book by it's cover
(but we all know this doesn't happen too much)
but yes i agree with you there it would probably drive some away
but for the life of me i can not imagine someone
joining this late and staying for a long period of time
to be honest i am surprised i did .

but only time will tell i guess :\ .

Of course it doesn't happen much, you wouldn't join a forum if it looked ******, you'd find somewhere that looked more professional or like it had been thought out more. Of course that isn't always the rule and there are exceptions, which is why I suggested a complete revamp of our sections and how they are. Have a complete re-arange and stuff to freshen the place up and fix the placement of some sections that would be better elsewhere.

There is still a lot of hope for the site, true it doesn't look it right now but there is. Hopefully we will get sold to someone who can actually have a presence on site, although knowing our luck we will be sold to some random noob who decides it would be a great idea to buy KHV and next thing you know the RP section is heaven and you get banned for using grammar.

Yes it is easy to do, but deciding on where the best place is for everything is the hard part xD

    this is true
*maybe move the code vault in the spam zone*
    jk
but the code vault needs a little help
    its starting to decay
but i think bbs will help a bit

and am i the only one thinking this
but ever since the new skin
i thought it would look better if the sections were
    placed differently.
    EDIT: sorry for the spam
    won't happen again

    I know i shouldn't talk since i'm still a n00bbut...

Ever since I'm a member it was quite difficult to find the introduction section i never used it due to the fact that i actually came across it when i had almost 3 months here :/(Yeah I'm Stupid)

I don't think the code vault should be moved into the spamzone it's true it been slow and full of New Members (In fact that's how i came to this site and for the record i didn't posted until like after a month of being here like it matters)

    On Topic:
I Agree with Fayt that way I'll be a bit easier for new members to get around

I do think the Introduction Section should be in the top area, albeit below the other things in that category. On most forums, it typically is found there under the less consequential things such as news, rules, etc. I will bring it up to RvR as I do agree it would be more helpful there. If he agrees, one of us will toss it up there somewhere.

D: What newbies need to do first before all is read the rules.

:D Then do whatever their hearts desire.

Which usually follows an intro thread.

    :D So:
    News & Suff
    then Introductions n stuff

:D What comes after, I do not care.
