    I was just looking at the rules for the current Intro Yourself section, and I thought it was a bit 'unfair' of how it's New Guys only.
    So I decided to post this. I've already got a few ideas of how it will work;

    • Only one intro thread per member (like how it works in the current intro section)
    • A detailed introduction, like the ones staff have in their section (likes, dislikes, history etc)
    • Make the section a "Posts don't count here" area

    If you have any ideas you want added to this list, tell me and I'll put it up there (if it's a good one)

    Uh...I don't think this is a good idea at all, no offence. If a member has been here for a while and is known around the forums, there's no need for an introduction.
    Besides, things would get spammy fast.

    WFG, you've had three intro threads. -_-

    So I'd say no to this, given the fact that we have a lot of spammers here and that a lot of members have been here for a while.

    No offense but I have to disagree.

    I think it's pointless,there's no reason to make another introduction thread if we:
    1.Already made one when we joined
    2.We've been here for awhile and most of the members acknowledge us old members already.

    So it's a big no-no to me :'3

    Well if you've been here long not to be considered a new person, then you dont need an intro thread because people have already seen you around. It'd just be a waste of space~

    I like the idea, mainly because I like to tell people my interests and statistics and such..

    It would be good for me, it would be like an archive of introductions.

    I never had a real introduction

    Thumbs up.

    Maybe posts shouldn't count.

    Maybe a sub-forum of Introduce Yourself

    Make it a "Posts don't count" area
    What do ya mean by that?
    Staff have been here a long while, they technically have intro threads for themselves. If needed, it could have a certain amount of something in order to post

    Yeah, I agree, if the staff get a special area, then why dont older members?

    The older members do. It's called Premium.

    If we had "special areas" for everyone, there'd be no point to have a separate section for prems. Many old members have a lot of posts. If people stay here and don't disappear for months at a time, getting prem isn't too hard.

    @ Goimez - It means what it says. Wisdom Form Guy has had three intro threads.

    I meant, special area for introductions, that's what the staff has.

    Last time I checked, the Premium section was just Spamzone 2.

    Do you have to clean up the spam? Lock topics? Sort areas? MOD THE VID PORTAL *hellhellhellhellhell*? No. I don't mean to sound arrogant, or like I think I'm better than you guys, but really. No one even goes in the Staff area anyway.

    I say no. It's unneeded and will just take up space.
    That's what your USER PROFILES are for.

    100% agreed with Misty.

    Besides, if you really hell-bent on wanting to post another introduction for yourself, put it in the spam zone. Posts don't count. =|

    Its a good idea, but it cannot work. Like the others said people would make like 50 intro threads just cuz of a simple change like "I dyed me hair so I have to update!" Either that or for the need for attention...

    and no one likes attention whores...=/

    I think I have a solution: how about we get our profiles to expand? So on our actual profiles it says "likes, dislikes and what not." that way, if people wanted to know about us it wouldnt be an "in your face thread" more like, something people can view out of curiosity.

    Nobody goes in there mainly because it's just staff that can post -_-;
    That's why there's an edit button... And old threads can get locked :)

    Highly doubt that's possible

    It could probably just be added as a sub-section in the spamzone

    I don't think a subsection is needed. If you've been here a while and you don't have enough posts to get to prem, that's not the staff's problem that you don't have a second/third/fourth/etc. intro thread.
    Again. Just go to the spam zone and start a fad if you really want to.
    We all know that that's not too hard. >_>;;
