I have an interview at McDonald's tomorrow at 2:00 PM! Maybe this third time will be the charm!

Tagging @Llaverion because we've talked about my job hunting before.

Good luck on the interview, remember a firm handshake and friendly greeting is a great way to start off.

    ^This

Believe me, if I had been as much of an ass as I usually am, I wouldn't have even been considered for my interview in the first place. Be sure to thank them for interviewing you as well.

    I plan to!

You guys got any tips in general? One of the things my mom said probably got me, at least in the second interview since she was able to see me while waiting in the car, is that I naturally appear to have a laid back style, and it seemed like I was laid back in the chair while interviewing last time. She also says that I need to sell myself, but not overdo it, either (e.g., *in high-pitched* "Hi, I'm Amaury, and I love life!" is overdoing it), but I still don't quite get what that means.

Firm grip. Eye contact. Speak slowly and clearly. Dress well. Smile. Relax. (I've never been to a job interview)

Basically this. Relax, keep eye contact with your interviewer, make sure to look at both of them if it's more than one, don't leave one of them out of the conversation. Speak clearly and calmly, try not to visible fidget in a nervous manner, i.e don't constantly tap the desk with your hand or something, tap your foot under the desk if you need to. Positive language wuthout going overly cheesy, none of this "It's my life long goal to work here" nonsense, but "I'm looking to work successfully with a team to promote great customer service and uphold the already high standards the franchise displays". Try have some examples of how you've handled hectic, or stressful or busy situations before, to show you're up to the task.

It's not hard to impress, you just have to focus and remain calm, as long as you sound confident in your words you'll do fine.

Something I've been told in several business classes is 'dress for the job.' The clothes you should wear in your interview should be of a similar standard to the uniform. You don't need a suit for an interview at McDonald's and you shouldn't wear shorts for an interview at a law firm -- that sort of thing. Now, since I worked for McDonald's for three years, I can tell you that dressy - casual is the best way to go. Something comfortable yet respectful. Also, McDonald's is almost always a sure - fire job. As long as you don't have some huge criminal record, you're 97% likely to get the job. Just try to relax. People get too nervous in interviews. When I interview people, I try to make the atmosphere as comfortable as possible without getting too friendly. You shouldn't talk about your personal life. The only thing really appropriate for personal life is if you've had prior work and they asked you why you quit, and you left because you moved or something. And just say that. You don't go into details on it. Talking about personal life in your interview is very unprofessional.

Well, I think that went okay. Fingers crossed. If I don't hear anything within a week, they found another candidate.

Make sure to never ever make mistakes. You'll be working for a company, after all.
