    So recently, whenever I plug in earphone to my laptop, I can no long hear videos like on YouTube or anime sites. I hear absolutely nothing. Not even on stream.
    So then when I unplug them, the issue remains. I can hear calls and my music perfectly buy it's the internet videos that just don't seem to want to work for me.

    So is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I have already tried restarting my laptop. But as soon as I plugged the headset in, the sound went dead yet again. i'm not too sure what I can do.
    Help please. ; ;

    Where are you plugging them into? Directly into your computer or the headphones plugin on your computer speakers?

    It's my laptop. So I could only plug it in directly into it. I stated it was a laptop above.

    This happened to me on my desktop, too, when plugging them into the computer directly.

    After plugging them in or unplugging them, simply close and reopen your browser.

    Well, actually there are a few questions I have. Like Amaury asked, are you plugging them in directly? Can you use external speakers?

    If you happen to have some auxiliary speakers, like for a desktop, laying around you could try those. If those work, try another pair of headphones. If the speakers don't work then it sounds like a problem with the audio out port on your laptop.

    One more question, when you plug in your headphones and the audio quits working have you tried unplugging, and does the audio still not work (play through the speakers)

    This might help Link

    I know that, with my headset, it has two volume adjustment knobs--one for Game and one for Chat. I tend to turn Game down when I use it with my PS3 since I'm more concerned with hearing what people are saying, but when I move them over to my computer I always forget to turn the Game knob back up. Try checking that, if the headset has external volume adjustment.

    Next, I'd check your playback device settings. I'm not sure what operating system you're using but on Windows 7, if you right-click the volume icon in the system tray, there's a Playback devices option. Try taking a look at that and see if anything looks off, both when you have the headset plugged in and when you don't (if you can't tell, post a screenshot).

    Another rather simple check may be to check your OS's volume mixer. If you left-click the volume icon, then click Mixer, you can adjust the volume on a program-by-program basis. When you have the headset plugged in, make sure that your browser's volume is turned up.

    Thank you guys for the help, especially to Misty. I will keep this on my watch list for future reference but you can lock it now.

    Again, Thank you guys. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
