You get it through the Wii Shop channel

although, you need to buy Wii Points which is $20, load that into your wii and buy it

You need some sort of wireless router or any connection to your Wii for the internet to work though

I tried it at my cousins house, it's pretty difficult to type, but it's all fun.

Well atm, you'll have to pay 500 wii points to get it, or 5 dollars.

You need a wired or wireless router for it to work. OR you can buy the Nintendo USB Wii/DS router for 30 bucks.

The Wii on its own doesn't have an ethernet port for wired internet. The Wii on its own does not support wired internet connection.

However, you can buy their LAN Adapter via the Nintendo Store which allows you to do this.

I'm planning to get one before Brawl comes out because WIRED IS THE WAY TO GO WITH ONLINE GAMING.

Sorax/split, you both completely misunderstood what they were trying to say xD they weren't asking to get the Internet CHANNEL, they want to connect his Wii to the internet but they has a WIRED Router, and the Wii connects through Wi-Fi

So anyway ~Muffin~, the Wii connects through the internet primarily (as in, it was meant to do so) wirelessly, for people with Wireless routers =\

However, for people who have Wired routers Nintendo provides a USB device that allows you to connect your Wii to the internet when you have a Wired router:

That's what I meant. It's capability is what I was stating there.

    I live in Toronto too.

Well I hope your wireless hub is only feet away from your Wii, because other than that,
wired > wireless in terms of reliability.

There will have been nothing crappier than having a signal drop during a league match in Brawl. *facepalm*

Yeah, I have a habit of using "he" naturally, for some reason I use "he" as a gender-neutral term, and then I have to correct my posts and replace everyhting with "them" or "they" in order to be safe xD sorry for that

lol. I told you he lived there many times >_>. Anyways, it really shouldnt be that expensive. And its pretty simple to set up. Comes with the installation disk and everything. Although its small and sticks out of my usb ports like a sore thumb, which is why I just went ahead and got a router since its cheap.
