I am actually surprised, I would have thought the xbox woudl ahve sold a bit more considering the games that came out. Oh well next year will be fun when the ps3 starts recieving all its games.

 

The Wii just took off once it was released. That never ceases to amaze me.

 

I have to agree. I mean, the gamecube was very unpopular after a while so at that point u probably would think that most ppl would've given up on Nintendo...

Well, everyone knows the Wii is doing well and so it really wasn't brought in the statement. No one is 'writing it off'.

However, I'm glad to see the PS3 is finally doing better, at the right price and things are moving up for it. Wii technically did better sales than the Xbox that was out a whole year prior to the Wii's release so Wii really isn't in the equation. Everyone knows it's kicking butt. Now that Halo 3 is out, it boosts up things for the Xbox too so it's all good.

 

So the sales of the PS3 were similar to the 360's first year. I'm somewhat surprised because the PS3 was more expensive, so if it was the same price who knows what could of happened.

But i'm more interested about next years figures though, should be a good year. And also we will see what else the Wii has up it's sleeve other than SSBB.

 

Really though with the price drop and the looming games God of War III and Final Fantasy XIII to come out in 2008 it looks like the PS3 will have a good year.

Not really...i can't explain.

The PS3 has outsold the 360 in Japan. Since the first X-Box was largely unheard of over there.

Anyway, I think next year will be a lot better for the PS3 as there will be more games for it and it will, hopefully, be more affordable.

I likely won't get one in '08 but we'll see.

Yes it is actually, with all of the many exclusive titles they have(more than the Wii or PS3 to date), their numbers have grown rapidly. The "red rings of death" as you call it are flaws, yes, that set the console back. It doesn't mean that the entire brand of XBOX is going to be a crappy record.

 

I hope so , did you know they are gonna make an another new X-box?
