Interest Thread

Alright, there's an RP I've been working on for nearly five months. It's gone through some heavy changes since I've started it. Several others have seen it, but I feel now it is time to make its existence public. Yes, I realize I'm treating it like some top secret project.

With that out of the way, here are the details:

I've taken influence from a lot of sources to make this. It started out as a Final Fantasy RP but due to the technical details relating to magic, I broke away from that to make it entirely original.

The setting is futuristic. Yes, there will be magic. There will be monsters. The world of this RP would have been plagued by a war between three countries for countless generations. One massive catastrophic event causes one of these countries to be completely destroyed. The remaining two countries make a truce as to not have their own people meet the same fate. Three thousand years pass.

In the current time, nobody knows how the third country was destroyed. This will be relevant for the RP's plot. As for OCs, they will all be students attending a prestigious academy of magic in a city made in the center of the country that had been destroyed three thousand years ago. A celebration will be taking place to commemorate the anniversary of the war's end. Naturally, things will go horribly wrong.


That is basically the plot of the RP. For those who are curious about how magic will be used, there will be two variants. One is the kind people are born with and another is a kind that must be taught(such as spells that require words or rituals to use).

People are born with one of five kinds of magic:
1. Elemental - Fire, water, lightning, wind, and earth. Think Avatar.
2. Conjuration - Power over light and darkness. Light gives them the ability to make constructs(like a Green Lantern) and heal wounds, darkness grants invisibility and transportation via shadows.
3. Psychokinesis - Power of the mind. Telekinesis, telepathy, and even flight.
4. Shapeshifting - Turning into animals, controlling them, having heightened senses, power over nature. That kind of thing.
5. Biokinesis - Power over the body. Super strength, durability, speed, and endurance.


Woo. That's a lot. I've stirred interest with people I know but I want to know how many more people are interested in this. This is the most time I've ever spent making an RP and I won't let this die.
