It would probably be more interesting if it was DC vs. Marvel.

Well, I like the character designs. The one thing I don't get is the plot (like anybody pays attention to plot in fighting games anyways lol). Like, I don't understand why they are adapting the comics into a fighting game and the only way to make it work is if wonder woman is cheating on superman with batguy and then they all start hating and killing each other and they become a threat to humanity because of it. It's like, they are supposed protectors, but the only way to make it work is if they become the enemy somehow. They should toss out the plot and just say "hey, we really want to see the hulk murder flash" or something, and people would still buy it because it's cool. But they start making this weird plot, and it becomes alien. The only way it would make any sort of sense is if it was in one of the alternate multiverses where they can do whatever the hell they want. Otherwise, it's just stupid.

If it's as good as the last Mortal Kombat game, I'll surely give it a try.

Old news to me but I'm barely starting to pay attention to this game. Seems there'll be a roster of characters in the 20s. Really hoping Blue Beetle makes his way in. Blue Beetle>Everyone. I don't play many fighting games, but this is one I think I'll pick up. ...I haven't seen any mention of alternate costumes. I'm assuming there will be.

Anyways, looks like for now I might stick to using "the non-puny ones". XD

I do hope this is as good as 2011 Mortal Kombat

The costumes are still weirding me out. Oh well, it still looks like a great game. Kind interested to see how the Green Lantern will play too. That would be an easy character to screw up with the ring powers and all, so I'd like to see them pull it off well.

i figured that Green Lantern and Joker were a given since they were in Mortal Kombat vs DC. Green Arrow is a pleasant surprise though, i figured he'd play kind of like Hawkeye in Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

i've seen preorder bonuses for alternate costumes which will probably come in the form of download codes.

This is the only game I'm looking forward to more than the Kingdom Hearts HD remix.
It seems like Injustice will keep a lot of the system mechanics from Mortal Kombat, with some added elements from Capcom games that will hopefully give it more depth. (No block button for example).
This game will be nothing like MK vs DC by the way :)

A few MK9 tournament players have already played beta versions of the game, and the reviews are really positive.

The video didn't awed me as much as did "The DC universe Online", but eventualy I got bored from it, and didn't even got to the final chapter to fight brainiac :(..

I don't know how will be the plot of this game, but as gameplay It will be an improved MK I guess.

I'm following the Injustice: Gods Among US prequel comic series, and I gotta say that it's pretty good. The series is 4 issues in. Released weekly and digitally for 99 cents, each. I think it's released in print, too, but not sure.
Anyway, I figured I'll post what happens in each for those who want more information on the story. I'm kind of hoping one of the game preorders will come with this series.

    Issue 1:
Opens in the "Present" as Batman watches over a silent Gotham. He mentally notes there's no crime, no gun shots, police sirens, etc. It's the "Gotham of [his] dreams," but he says it was perverted into a nightmare because the silence he hears is the silence of fear. The only sound is the marching feet of armed soldiers (from the story trailer). Batman says the sound is echoed throughout the entire world to the rhythm of dictators. And then a lackluster line: "Our world is now ruled by the iron fist---of a man of steel." The next panel shows red flags with Superman's shield hanging throughout the streets.

Story jumps to 5 years in the past (what is it with DC and 5 year timeskips?). Clark Kent is shown asleep when his monologue starts. "Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Super hearing trumps all of that tonight." He jumps awake, waking Lois up, and tells her that he hears two heartbeats coming from her: hers, and their new baby. He starts planning the baby's entire life, from who he trusts at Star Labs to check the baby's body to moving to a bigger house in Smallville while Lois watches annoyed. She then throws a book at me (I love this part. "Did you just throw a book at me?" "You're invulnerable. I should be able to throw satisfyingly hard objects at you sometimes.") She tells him to stop planning the baby's high school already and enjoy the moment, but her phone goes off. She gets a tip that a councilman is receiving a pay off at the docks and tells him that he doesn't need to come with her and he's being overprotective. Besides, she'll have Jimmy with her. Regardless, Clark hears something in the distance and kisses her goodbye.

Cue Batman in an alley beating the living **** out of some thugs. Superman flies in, curious as to why the Dark Knight is in Metropolis and Batman replies he's on his way to Star Labs because something sensitive was taken.

The scene shifts to the docks where Lois and Jimmy are discussing that the councilman is late. Lois thinks that they should give him a few more minutes, but Jimmy says that if he had an hour's sleep for every anonymous trip that led to nothing, he'd be far more well-rested. Suddenly, they hear something and see a woman's silhouette. As Jimmy raises his camera, a gun gets pointed to the lens.

Batman figures out that Lois is pregnant because of Superman's body language and says that it's either stress or fear and he hasn't seen Superman like that since he faced Doomsday. He adds that Superman is grinning like an idiot. Superman adds that they want Batman to be the godfather. Batman keeps his regular scowl and Superman remarks that he's (Batman) surprised. However, when Superman adds that he heard the baby's heartbeat, Batman smiles.

At the docks, Jimmy is shot through the head by the Joker ("Uh-oh, I got some Jimmy on my shoe!"). Lois watches in fear as the woman turns out to be Harley Quinn and Joker raises the gun with a laugh and says "Hi, Lois!".

Running out of time. I'll post Issue 2 and maybe 3 after work.
