"No problem," The female smiled and whn Eva mentioned Mathis, Efstasia frowned. "Yeah...he's like that because his whole family turned into those empties. He just wants the world to go back to normal again, that is what he tells me. And he has stuck with me to make sure that I'm safe, he is always go on about how Breeders and Donors could bring the world back to normal..." the greek woman sighed.

 

Lewis shut the door. "To you, my dear hung over teenager, you should take this." He handed him a package of pills "A pain reliever I made. Training to defeat Infecteds can wear your body down fast." he spoke to the young man. "As for the reason of my return, I have boarded up the Infecteds, for lack of a better word. If you need food or a place to stay, I offer my home."

 

Efstatia took the rest of the dishes and washed them. After she was done she could hear voices. I wonder who that is? she thought and dried her hand on her pants. Following the voices she saw the doctor man and Rhys. ​An offering for a place to stay? what does he mean boarding up the infected? this man was truely odd if he believed that he could board up those animals. "Are you not afraid of them coming to attack you?" she spoke up looking to the man who was offering them safety in what sounded like the lion's den.

 

"Absolutely not." Lewis said "Most local ones already know not to come near me anyway, and I have a few I keep as buttlers and oter staff, I had there living quarters seald of with the, my robotic assistant has everything prepaired for guest. And unless the infected get help from a 500 pound wall of muscle, none of the infected could escape there imprisonment. It's almost as if I had left them in a tomb made of 9 foot thick titanium and steell walls."

 

Butlers and other staff? is this man insane?!
"It's dangerous to even have them like that." she said knowing all to well how wild those creatures are. "They are far from human. and should be treated as who they are. Dangerous beings that have lost their humanity. Not pets and slaves." Efstasia was somewhat ticked off. He was a breeder and yet he is living this life that at any moment could be ruined by a simple mistake or power failure. She said nothing after that, instead she bit her tongue to stay quiet.

 

"Thanks but uh..no thanks "Rhys said pushing the pills away "They dont seem....safe to me."

 

"Fine enough." he put the backage back nin his poket

 

"If were going to move we need to do it during the day time."

 

Efstasia nodded in agreement with what Eva said. "I'm going to the radio from my bag to look for some sort of radio signal, maybe figure out whats jamming the signal." The Greek said and looked to the guys. "I'll be back later so leave a message or something if you guys decide to leave, if Mathis and I don't come back before you leave." She nodded her head and turned to go back to the little room where she left her things. Checking that she had everything especially her gun, bullets, and radio. "Lets go Mat." she said to the man who lugged his bag over his shoulder. She didnt think anyone would want to come with them.

 

"Do you want us to come?"Rhys said

 

"um," Efstasia looked to Mathis who just shrugged and opened the door to get out of the hotel. he was dieing to get out. "If you want. We're going to try to get farthest from the city as possible till dark or until we get a good signal. You're more then welcome to come." she said.

 

He looked at his sister

she nodded "It might be best."

 

"Then grab a pack with some water and a weapon just in case we run into some gain, or if it gets too dark...Well you know what I mean. I'll be waiting outside." she said and Efstasia turned, opening the door and walking out.

"So why are they coming with?" Mathis asked annoied.

"Because they want to know what's out there more then likely, and that is smart of them to. What if we get a signal. We'll all be able to get to safety."

Mathis rolled his eyes and walked into the sun. It didn't really bother him it just hurt his head to be under the sun for so long, thats why he brought his hat and sunglasses. They were a necessity.

 

"I had a feeling you all would want to leave." he pulled a back pack off his shoulder. "This has enough food and water to last an army about a month. I would like to join you though if you so allow."

 

Mathis grunted, as if he found something humorous.

"What is it?" asked Efstasia.

"The Dr. wants to join us on our way to safety. Guess his palace of emties wasn't good enough."

"Mathis, dont be rude." she said, with a slight pout.

The black haired male sighed lifting his hands up in surrender before the Greek could go all Words of Wisdom, on him.

 

"Eva helped her brother with his pack

 

"When are these people going to be done?" Mathis asked impatient.

"Patience is a virtue." said Efstasia.

"Oh don't give me your ancient Greek philosophy." he said with a huff which made the Greek chuckle.

 

"Not at all." he said with a look at Mathis's eyes. "I need to go looking for more samples for a possible cure, you all are going to leave soon. So naturally, I would like to to have company, this world is so boring sometimes."

 

"So does this mean were ready?"

 

Mathis glared at the man. He wouldn't say HATE but a strong dislike for no apparent reason was the term he used.


Efstasia sighed. boys will be boys she thought and looked to Eva. "Yeah. I was looking at the map earlier. and I know there are some docks here, we should check there for a signal we could catch. If not then we'll have to wait for tomorrow till we can go out again." she said.


Mathis began to walk, leading the group with Efstasia close behind him just in case anything happened.
