Sony inFamous 2

Looking back at the first Infamous, i can remember when i was stuck on whether to buy Infamous or Prototype. I ended up buying both. Prototype was incredibly repeatitive, and although Infamous was amazing the side missions were very boring for my liking anyway.
I've played the Infamou 2 demo and i was hooked from the start. The boss battle look amazing and playing user generated missions is also a nice bonus.

 

Sucker Punch has the best UGC missions, but that seems to be pretty obvious (from what I played). If you haven't done their "Sly" mission, do it. All you do is watch a giant blocky Sly Cooper move around for like six seconds and then beat it. xD

I never got platinum in the first one. I wasn't really into trophies at the time. But I need the stunts ones (damn them) and I haven't beat it on hard yet. I should get on that.​

 

Did anyone here order the special editions of Infamous 2? If you did was it worth the extra cash?

 

After 1 hour of downloading the demo I had 2%...I have other games on hold now for it D:

 

That and ''Door To Hell'' are some of my favorites. There are rare UGC missions that are well done by other members. Like ''The Conduit Child'' and this other mission I forgot the name of, but it was about finding a murderer in New Marais.

I just got the platinum for inFamous 2 last night. All I had left was to use my Ionic Powers thirty times and play twenty five UGC missions. It was easy since many of the missions make you invincible.

I pre-ordered the Hero Edition and it was worth the money. I was surprised by the quality of the products in it.

 

Do you think that all these extra's from the special edition will be available as add-ons later on?

 

It's possible, but I doubt it.

 

The gigawatt blades were made available, I think that skins and such may come at a price later on.

 

Was it that one like LA Noire? I remember doing one (just pt. 1, I believe) that's name was ...something. I think Noire was in it, though. You talk to some cops and then explore one of three areas. And I believe it was about a murderer.

And congratulations to you, sir. Yea, the 25 UGC missions was the last trophy I had to get.

Also, on another side note, I would have got the Special Edition, but I didn't know it existed until like three days before the game came out. I preordered inFAMOUS 2 in like March already, also. I was pissed, needless to say. |:​

 

I have been dying to play the first one as it does look like a good game. I am hoping to buy the first one before I play this one but from what I've heard the first one is very enjoyable. I just hope the second one can live up to it's expectation.

 

Didn't you get the welcome back package?

 

Yeah Enzy, the welcome back package (That PSN did as apologies for all the down time due to the hacks) allows you to download the first Infamous for free, as well as another game out of... Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, Wipeout and... I think it was Deadnation...

Also, both games are frickin' incredible, and the second game definitely does live up to it's expectation. ¦3
Out of PS3 exclusive games, this is my favourite series so far.

 

Sadly my sister took the PS3 to university with her but I'll get it back in August :B|: I will then play it.. lots ^^

I've heard it's a bit like Prototype but with electricty instead of morphing so I shall most likely enjoy it.

 

Ah... well the welcome back package has a time limit... :/

But yeah, you've got the idea, except for the fact that Prototype was very repetitive (and personally for me, got boring fast) and Infamous is much better :P (the story and characters are way more awesome too)

 

Yeah, that's the one I meant. Something with Ripper in it. Cole, God of Storms is also fun. Just you with unlimited health and lightning and a bunch of bad guys. I must have played it at least fifteen times.

That's unfortunate. I have seen many special editions come and go, but this one was worth ordering. The skins are fantastic. It was great playing through the evil story as a Reaper and the good story as Kessler. The samurai sword was great also.
