Alright, I made a signature using Michael McIntyre, a famous comedian and then I couldn't decide what to do to it afterwards, so I tried different techniques as tests and I just want to know if they're affective or not.

    Normal (no border, no text):
Michael (no border... I don't know why O.o):

    Ienzo (transparent):

    McIntyre:

    Ienzo (transparent border and name):

    Ienzo: (transparent border):

    Ienzo (normal):

Alright, tests with transparency, they'll look different depending on the forum skin you're using, CnC please :{D

I don't...think he really fits with all that. I don't know, I guess he just doesn't fit with everything that's going on in that signature.

He looks slapped in there. Specially since the light is kind of wonky. You may want to find the stock first, and then go with the effects and then the atmosphere you may want to give it.

C4D's and fractals hardly comprise the whole of signatures, so you may want to experiment a bit more :>

I like this one, the colors are awesome.
The one you call normal is definitely best, Didn't like the drop shadow on some of the other versions and the text flows nicely with the signature. I'd like to see a normal one with a black border instead of the white though, to add some contrast to the brightness. It might work, but it might not work as well.
    Anyway, I like it :)

I like the first one. Nice and simple. The colours are nice and vibrant, and there's quite alot going on in the background too...almost too much
    I really like this

Meh, if you ask me, I like the first one the best. Cleaner, simpler, there's less to distract from the subject of the image.

To me, the others just have too much.

But the basis is kinda awesome. The background is really pretty.

To tell you the truth, I didn't notice how much the render stood out until you mentioned it xD

Thanks everyone, I'm still learning so your input is greatly appreciated.

You know, without McIntyre, this would be one trippy abstract signature.

But like chev stated, C4D's and fractals don't make the whole signature.
Try starting out simple first. Use a color that compliments your render without making him blend in too much. Then start building up from there with basic pentooling, brushing, etc. Try to get a little flow going with smudging if you need it. Then use a subtle touch to blend in C4D's as an added effect. Then you can use photofilters or contrast changes to help fine-tune the proper color range for your signature.

Like with anything, take it slow. And don't feel forced to use a certain effect if you don't like the outcome. 10 barely noticeable effect layers can sometimes come out better than 2 or 3 drastic additions.
Also, Michael McIntyre is pretty awesome.

Either the first or the last, but as chev and cronoking have stated, fractals are not everything. Personally I think you need to blend him in a little more, as he kinda looks a tad slapped on. Experiment with his positioning too. He looks too far to the left, but that may be just me. Depth and lighting can make this tag really nice, so use burns, dodges, blurs and see what you can get. It looks pretty good like this, but it can be a lot better. Just trying to help =)

Thanks ^^ I have to agree looking at it now, I never realised xD. The only problem is the render had to be put there as that was where it finished but I will do some experimenting with burning and blurring thank you. ^^
