Good idea. Unlike your other one, the "porn section" suggestion. But at least it was funny xD.
Why not send an e-mail to everyone, saying to the members to log-in and post sometime during a certain period, and anyone who hasn't ldone thAt in in the end of that period will get his account deleted? (idea).

^ Seriously guys, its there for a reason. There are always members disappearing for various reasons from various amounts of time. And to delete a member because they're computer decided to screw up for a few months or getting grounded or other reasons would be make for an unhappy community. Especially seeing as very active members nowadays weren't always that active to start. Also, 0 posts is a poor reason to remove any member seeing as though there are quite a few sections where posts dont count and people do come here for things other than KH related material.

I swear I looked there before...

And I meant true 0 (including spamzone) post user after six months of inactivity. So that would prune a good amount already.

    It isn't happening.

This HAS been brough up several times before in the past. It was rejected the and it will be rejected now too. Crono really said all that needed to be said.

Added to that there are members that come here just for news or for codes etc, it is highly unfair to delete them just because they don't post.

True I would love to be allowed to delete the bot accounts at least, but higher member numbers look better regardless of whether they are active or not from spdude's perspective.

I sincerely apologise for the fact that we don't match up to your high standards.

OK, so a member clean-up isn't going to happen so...

Why not have an option on the member list saying:

[click here to see active members only].

Now, I know what you're thinking: How would we do that, surely it would mean making a completely new memberlist.

    Well, I beleve not

Surely the member list is a spreadsheet or database correct? And if so, we can use the magical rower of If statements.

I'm not to well read on cding but I immagine it would look something like this:

    =if("post count">0,[shows up on list],[doesn't show up]

    Or something like that.

This way, all parties win! People who want to keep the members get to keep them, people who want to look at the memberlist without having to sift through all the inactive members can, the reg users numer doesn't go down etc. Everyone wins.

Feel free to add to the suggestion and I hope for your support.

edit: Ok to give a proper answer, there really is no need for it, it is a waste of time and I really do not see the point. It doesn't do anybody any damage going through the memberlists like that.

Besides which if someone wants to see the really active users, they can always look at the member list in order of posts or rep and that would order the list to show active members.
