Mission of the Utmost Importance:

Jack's pov: "What do you know about the dark Guilds and these riders?" He also came to the conclusion that Lullaby was sort of sleeping spell. "You said the Lullaby is an item. Any idea what the item is? You also mentioned the riders are looking for a separate item. How are you sure they are not both looking for this Lullaby? I agree with Alessia there is probably some grand plan they have. Is there a way to provent us from being affected by this Lullaby? Is it an actual song or is it something else?"

Kingdom of Elamos:

Amanda's pov: She stayed quite for the most part until she thought about what was said. "I don't understand why they they think it's the guards, it very well be anyone. There is also the possibility that the guards took the gold, but then there the issues of them being controled."

 

After boarding the train and listening to Cassandra's little speech of information as well as some of the questions, Therity spoke up. "Never mind Lullaby, I'm surprised you believe and trust that our small group of..." She paused as she quickly counted the members going on the mission in her head, including Ander. "...nine will be able to take out an entire dark guild." She paused and pondered the matter for a moment before continuing, "We do have the two S-Classes, but even so. A whole guild versus nine? The odds aren't exactly in our favor in a battle that large."



Taylor was pleasantly surprised as one of her guild members easily acquired a boat for them. She paused before she boarded and turned to thank said guild member. However, a splash of white hair quickly redirected her attention. She noticed the other group from their guild, particularly Beucette, and waved at them. Grinning, she turned to Vance, who's name she had learned when Zeph spoke it, and said excitedly, "Another group from our guild is over there, and it looks like they still need a ride. Do you think we could convince our new captain to give them one to wherever they're going, too?"​

 

As the group was going through the train Cassandra gave them the whole low down on just what this mission of utmost importance was, Aoki was pretty curious about the entire situation as a whole and everyone seemed to have their own take on just what lullaby did. As the name implied, it probably had something to do with sleeping as everyone else had implied. Then basically before Aoki could say anything...well, literally everyone else had said something. Looking to back to Cassandra she said, "yeah, if this thing is so important that their entire guild is being sent out against us, shouldn't we have sent a more...sizeable party?" She then thought of something else as she asked, "so, should we expect the Riders of the Desert guild to be with Eisenwald when we get there, because if we're going against two guilds then that might be a bit of an issue to deal with just the nine of us."

 

"That was the plan. The captain is going to take us wherever we need to. Everyone is just going to have to follow me." Vance replied. She had a good mind to her, off his initial judgement. Off a quick observation, she was quite pretty but clearly not of his status, ruling her out immediately (Not that it mattered, due to factors he was unaware of). It was in her walk. Someone with a background like his would move differently, have a different aura. Her's was more relaxed. With his observations of her done, he quickly moved out to fetch everyone. "Caliborn, bring your people with you! We'll take you where you need to go." With that. he walked back to the ship they had hired and waited for everyone, before walking over to the captain.
"Thank you for taking myself and my retinue. We'll require two drop offs. We have business to attend to in two locations." There wasn't a request. It was a statement, an order. "Everyone aboard!" That was directed to the rest of his Guild Mates.



Caliborn nodded at Vance. He certainly had nerve. Most people spoke a little more respectfully, but he would let it slide.
"Everyone, follow Vance on to the ship. It looks like we have our ride." Caliborn said, leading people on to the ship that Vance had secured.

 

Kingdom of Elamos

Damian watched the argument go back and forth between Johanna and Sara, at first he kept quiet but he felt he had to intervene for Johanna's sake
"You don't know anything about these people" he quietly said to Sara "I wouldn't jump to conclusions so much" he looked away awkwardly "I knew some of the more powerful people back home, technically I'm the heir to House Vellister, and I've spent most of my life helping people unrewarded, I even refused to take some people's money when they offered it, all I needed was enough to pay for passage and food, village to village" he blushed when he realised he'd revealed so much about his past "So... yeah... sorry... there are lives at stake here and that's all I care about right now"

"Wow that was impressive. Too bad we don't have anyone like Vance." Malkira resented Calxiyn's statement and set about to get a boat with even greater efficiency "Worry not, my friends, I shall obtain a boat for our group" he looked around and saw a decent quality ship that seemed the right size "Greetings captain of mortals!" He said to the most well-dressed of the ship's crew "my friends and I require usage of a vessel for transportational purposes, and I believe your ship is most suited to this task" In truth there were much better ships along the quay, but they would be unlikely to accept a ragged group of travellers, and when violence failed, flattery got you everywhere, and if it didn't, bribery did "We'll certainly make it worth your while"

 

The Contest: Hargeon Town​

"If I take a look at the map, we should be at first drop off at Nessa Rose's estate, which is on Crystal Island." Zephyros gave him a nod.

Calxiyn rolled her eyes. "Malkira-Kun you're going the wrong way!" She yelled at him as she got onto the boat. "Over here!"

Kingdom of Elamos: Carriage​

Johanna was surprised at Sara, but moved swiftly onward. "Well, it's not that they think it's the guards, it's just that since the guards are being controlled, they're worried that someone is behind it that's inside the castle. Plus, if the guards were doing it, then they couldn't also be at the castle, right? But it could still be them, yes." Johanna asked "You're very right Damian. Power doesn't make everyone mad, and plus, it's for the good of the people. I'm sure the Prince doesn't want to get married, but he's doing it because he has a responsibility, right? Anyway, hopefully we get there soon."

Malkira grumbled when everyone else got on Vance's boat, why did a family name mean that much? What had Vance ever done for the captain of that ship?
"I'm terribly sorry, it appears we won't be using your vessel after all, it's a junkheap anyway" he told the captain before trudging off after the rest of them "Bit of advice Calxiyn, never call me "Malkira-kun" ever again if you want to keep your head" He paused, she was only a young girl, he had no need to be this violent "Sorry, that was harsh, but don't call me Malkira-kun!" he grumbled as he got onto the boat

 

"Awesome, thanks Vance!" Taylor exclaimed happily, giving the man a smile and a thumbs up. She stood at the edge of the dock and waited for Beucette while everyone else boarded the ship. She was excited - hopefully her friend's presence would make this dull boat ride a lot more entertaining. After all, Beucette was... Well, interesting things tended to happen around her, to say the least. ​

At first Zephyr hadn't said much of anything on the train ride while the others on the mission had discussed the various thing that they would be dealing with. It was agreed that the Lullaby was some kind of device that could put people to sleep. With something like that in their hands, who know just what they would be able to get away with by putting people to sleep. There was still the numbers issue that they had to deal with. 9 people versus and entire guild. While in theory that could be possible, he didn't know the strength of everyone here, cept Aoki, nor did he know much about Dark Guild they would be up against. "We could try to out smart them or lure them into a trap. Still knowing more about them would be helpful." Zephyr said. Never thought there would be at time where he regretted watching his previous guild fight dark guilds and not actually aid them.

 

"Do we have to fight all of the Dark Guild?" Alessia pointed out. "We know about this Erigor guy right? Why don't we just stop him and take this Lullaby thing? The nine of us can't defeat a guild, but we can take on Erigor and take the Lullaby off him can't we?" It was too dangerous to fight an entire guild but maybe fighting just a few of them would be all that was necessary. It would be less risky for them. But the Dark Guild would be out there still. Maybe once they had dealt with it they could gather all of Sapphire Eclipse for an attack against this Dark Guild.
"If we're going to fight the entire Dark Guild then shouldn't we get everyone together? If we stop Erigor, then ask Evanora to lead us in a battle against the Dark Guild then we'll be fine right? We can get all the S-Classes, the Normals and the rest of us new people. That would work, surely?"

 

Mission of the Utmost Importance:



Ander's pov:
When Therity said how would they beat a whole guild with just 9 of them. He thought of a simple answer. "While the possibility of fighting both guilds could happen it not really does not matter. Tactics is key here. If fighting Magus Ascension is anything to go by they are usually by them self. Most of the time they do not work together and it is a one on one fight. So really it would be 9 of us fighting one person. Even if we do end up fighting them all. We have to do our best, we could some how separate them so we are not fighting them all. If we do not fight many could die. We have to just give it our best and hope it all works out, because together we can be stronger than and guild would ever hope to be." Then he realized he was repeating what others said. "Sorry for repeating what others said, but that is how I see our options as. Not fighting the whole guild would be the best out come." He tuned to Alessia, "Anything is possible when you fight together, because only together can we hope to conquer the evil within." Was that the answer to the curse?

Sara's pov:
When Damian said 'You don't know anything about these people.' "Yea...." Read to throw the man out the window. Then something he said hit her. 'I even refused to take some people's money when they offered it, all I needed was enough to pay for passage and food, village to village.' "Did you ever help them? You are only one of few." she said sadly

"Yeah, I'm a healer, in small villages there are always sick people, and animals. Their smiles when I helped out were all the payment I needed but they were always happy to give me food and rest, in these backwater places they don't get much attention" he said to Sara "I will admit, many nobles and aristocrats care little for the poorer among us, many are intolerant bastards who'd kick someone out of their land for..." his sudden burst of anger stopped suddenly as he realised what he was about to reveal "But nevertheless, they are still humans, and they still deserve mercy and forgiveness, and help in dire times" Damian looked around at his other travelling companions, this guild was so full of women, couldn't he catch a break? There were two other guys with them, Leo and Zwei if he remembered correctly. He might have to talk to them later, it was worth a shot.

 

Rho had simply stood by as Vance had gone by and done some sort of flaunting of nobility in order to allow them safe passage onto the boat. He wasn't really too impressed by this though, as they had already been through something similar to this prior to this during their infiltration of Everlue Mansion. Nevertheless, he simply followed after them and walked onto the boat. As a small slight to Vance, Rho had simply commented saying, "glad to see that haughty attitude of yours has some weight to it with the "commoners" as well." With that, he had simply sat down and watched to see that the other group members had seemingly gone on board their vessel as well.

Lucia had moved along with everyone else as they were going on towards their ride to the location of their mission. She didn't really know why the people who ran these docks hated them so, but nevertheless, it had appeared that someone had managed to procure them a ride regardless. As she was walking back, she quizzically raised an eyebrow as Cal had ended up calling the stone man Malkira-"kun" and she wasn't entirely sure what the kun part meant. Especially considering the stone man found it to be pretty insulting. Which could only mean that it had to be some sort of super insult. She wondered what kind of past those two had had together that they had this sort of casual insulting of each other. But nevertheless, she would have to make sure it didn't affect their mission whatsoever.

Getting on board the boat alongside everyone else, she said, "so, fancy meeting all of you here. We were just getting ready to go do a job of our own, so I guess we're in great luck. So," trying to start some conversation amongst them, she simply asked, "whatcha'll doing here?"

Rho, calmly sitting back, replied, "we're on a mission of our own. There are quite a myriad of things that people need help with after all," he looked around the rest of the group he added in, "as well as our own guild members as it may be." With slight curiosity, Rho simply inquired, "so, where is it that you all are heading off to?"

 

Any attempt to interact with Leo have to wait till his motion sickness had come to an end, which wouldn't be until they had arrived at their destination. Tech His face has a sickly look to it and while it didn't it didn't look he would actually barf, it still wasn't a pleasant sight to see. Technically he would still be able to response to anyone who attempted to speak with him, but it would be better just to wait till they got to their destination.This motion sickness was one of the weaknesses that a dragon slayer had to deal with. Its also one of the reason that Leo did most of his travels on foot instead of hitching a ride with someone. It was a temporary solution for a problem in which he wasn't even sure that there was a permanent solution to. It was quite possibly going to be a long ride for him.

Zwei on the other hand was listening in to the extreme prejudice that Sara had towards royalty and boy was her prejudice towards them a deep rooted one. Yeah not all of them were good and some probably did deserve any misfortune that befell them, but with a kingdom we know nothing about condemning the entire kingdom to potential death seems like a bit of an extreme. "Damian's right." Zwei started. "Even if the royal did do something to deserve it, letting the people suffer wouldn't be any better."

Alisa had gotten on the boat upon its arrival along with the others. She wasn't expecting this many people to be on this one boat, thought they must've done this to make things easer since the boat was going to be making two stops. Once fully on the boat, she took this moment as the chance to look and see what some of her new teammates were like. For the most part they seemed to be pretty average. Save for the stone man named Malkira and the noble whose boat that they were using. She still wasn't 100% sure about fitting in, but if a stone person could kinda do it, then there was hope for her.

It was then that that two question where asked just about anyone who would answer then. The first was 'what were they doing here' which was promptly answered. The next was asking more about the specifics as to where they were going. To which, Alisa choose to answer. "I'm heading to Sian with my group." She didn't quite recall who was on the same group as her right now, but she wold likely find out soon.

 

"Taking on an entire dark guild would be a terrible idea. One small group against an entire squad isn't a favourable outcome, but if it comes down to that or letting lullaby do its thing then I'm going with taking on the dark guild" Caleb said, listening closely as everyone spoke. He was learning a lot about Eisenwald and Erigor, and the more he heard the more dangerous the mission seemed.


"Marriage should never be a necessity, marriage is something people should do for love, because they want to. At the same time though, I can sort of understand where the prince is coming from...I mean, if I had the ability to save people by marrying someone I like to think I'd go through with it" Skadi said, keeping her thoughts to herself until that point. The more she heard, the more she felt for the prince. It must be such a difficult position for him to be in, and it only made her more eager to help him out.


Gexln nodded in response to Malkira, acknowledging the admittance of defeat. He made his way over towards the bar once more as people departed for their missions. Sitting down, he was just about to fix himself a drink before the doors open and a high pitched, angry voice echoed through the guild hall. A small, orange cat had entered and he was very riled up about something.

"GEXLN YOU TREACHEROUS WHORE!" the tiny voice called out.

Gexln chuckled a little bit at the outburst. He knew exactly who, and what, the voice belonged to. He turned around and showed a grin as the small cat raced over to him. "Hello to you too, Tabby" he said, stifling a laugh at the fury on the small creature's face.

"DON'T HELLO ME YOU LITTLE SHIT! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG I WAS LOST OUT THERE?" Tabby yelled out.

"You've lived here for eight years Tabby! How do you not know your way around?!" the dragon slayer responded, genuinely shocked.

"Oh you think I'm stupid or something? You wanna mess?" Tabby cried angrily as he began swiping his tiny paws at Gexln, who simply put one hand on his head and kept him away.

"I've been back here for not even a day and I've had three people try to fight me. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but damn Tabby, why are you so riled up over this? You could have asked just about anyone for directions if it was that bad, and I was kind of eager to get back and get on a mission again"

As Gexln spoke, the cat started looking less and less angry and more just hurt in general. "You know about my abandonment issues" Tabby said, his voice very much full of sorrow and his eyes looking watery.

Gexln sighed. He'd forgotten about Tabby's past, or at least what the cat had shared. Now he felt a little guilty. Grabbing Tabby, he pulled the cat to him and ruffled his fur a little with his hand. "Eh, I'm sorry Tab. Tell you what, you follow me back to the center of town and I'll go buy you two fish, how's that sound?" he offered. However, the small glare on Tabby's face said it all. "Fine, three. But that's it!" Gexln decided, to which the cat responded by jumping up and sitting on Gexln's shoulder, ready to depart.​

Sara's pov:
'Even if the royal did do something to deserve it, letting the people suffer wouldn't be any better.' Who did this man think he was? "Let people surffer. Ha, People surfer regardless. Because most people only care about is them self. They care not for others. I rather it not be true, but is how it is." This man was probably one of those people. Only caring about him self. All the men in this guild were all the same not caring for others and only caring for them self. The only two men that she talked to that was actually worth talking to was Ren and Damian, now those two actually cared for people. What she gathered from Damian he helped people so he was alright in her book. She was kind of distracted by what Skadi said. "Would you really? I rather spend my life with some I like rather then someone just to keep the kingdom afloat. I see Were you are coming from though." She then looked at Johanna. "Can't we just give the kingdom money? Help them out that way." Surly Evanora had trillions of Jewels laying around.

 

Kingdom of Elamos:

Amanda's pov: "Let people surfer. Ha, People surffer regardless. Because most people only care about is them self. They care not for others. I rather it not be true, but is how it is. Can't we just give the kingdom money? Help them out that way." Sara had said. She turned to Johanna "Is there anything else you can tell us about this place anything at all to help us on the quest" she finshed. "I mean, if I had the ability to save people by marrying someone I like to think I'd go through with it" Skadi had said. "Your stronger then I am then. I could never do that. I only ever liked someone as a friend." She suddenly stoped after she knew what she said. A tear comming off her face.

Sara's pov:
'I don't think that will work, sure in the short term it help them out, but long term they probably go through it so fast it wouldn't matter. They probably need a financial advisor to help on the inside. You also have to hold on to hope that someone there is nice enough to do something. I am sure will find someone there that willing to help in some way. There always nice people in the world.' The girl was nice. "Surly the guild has some money to help out a little? Right? If only for a little bit. If the guild can't help then we can just not take the money this job is offering us." She told Amanda. Hold out hope for someone nice? "I guess it only takes one person or group of people to help. That is why we are here to help. I want to help as much as I can." She was suddenly excited about helping people. Help you help you and help you. "Help who we can." Her voice was in a excited tone.
