Guild hall:

Jack's pov: "You seem to be able to fix any problem. How do you do it? I always seem to mess up when I try. What is your secret? You seem to be able to understand everyone and help them. What am I doing wrong?" There was something else but he wasn't sure how to say it. He desided to just blurt it out. "You know you would make an awesome guild leader." He wasn't sure how to explain this thought further. "I well... um think your really nice and awesome."

 

"I think you've confused me with someone who actually gives a ****." She spat on him. "....If you were intelligent enough, you would know that spell was activity killing your father. Slowly, and painfully, like being stabbed over and over again every time you melt the ice. Congratulations, so much for getting revenge for your father, you ended up being his undoing, not Deliora. Deliora didn't kill him. You were though... " She scoffed. "Maybe if you had followed your brother, you would have known Evanora has powerful Arc Of Time Magic... if you really wanted to fight Deliora and get your father back in one piece, it would have been easy as pie. But no, all you have is a mangled corpse, killed by you, his so called 'favorite' son."

 

That... That never occurred to him. Immediately, it hit him exactly what he had been doing. Oh Gods... What have I done? No... It can't be, it can't... No... How could I have been so foolish? How didn't I see it before...? I've made a mistake. Surely he understands, if he's still in there? Surely he would know that I only tried this for a good reason, for justice and... No. He left me behind, didn't he? He left me for Dale, and that blasted woman. Why do I even care? Why should I even care? The ******* left me to die! Boreal would show no signs of the inner pain and turmoil to this woman though. Unfortunately for her, he heard their conversation. They didn't move far enough away. Now it was time for a little payback. He looked up at her, his lips curled in a snarl.
"I see now why they call you the Witch of the Tower, Mikasa." Boreal spat on her boot. "No wonder you envy the others. How could Caliborn possibly love you like this? You make me sick, talking down at a man in this state. Release me from these chains and then say that to my face, see how that goes for you."

 

"Caliborn?..." Her eyes went wide. She felt her chest pound, and her heart race. She felt tears sting in her eyes now. But why? She couldn't possibly. "I don't need Caliborn to love me." She yelled at him. Her voice was strong but still as dead as before, she gave him an icy stare, colder then Boreal's heart. "Take your spit back where it belongs." She spoke emotionless, kicking him right in the face. She then grabbed him swiftly by the neck like she had before, and stared at them, inches apart. "If I release you from those chains, I could cut you up into little pieces, just like your father is. Trust me. That isn't what you want."

 

Borealfelt worse than Eren Jaeger getting the **** kicked out of him by Levi. He could taste blood in his mouth from where his teeth were forced to bite deep into the side of his mouth. It was as if someone had set the inside of his mouth aflame. He held the blood in though, and let the ***** talk. He stared her down, unfazed by her words. He wasn't going to back down to this trumped up street girl. No chance. He'd have a bit of vengeance instead. When she leaned in closer, he spat the blood on to her face.
"Do you want to back up that claim? I've got nothing else to live for, so why don't you just try it? In fact, we'll make a bet." Boreal taunted. "You cut me up, you win. I live through it and you can sit in these chains at my mercy instead. Won't that be nice? Imagine that, you, the Guild's ***** brought so low."




He smiled. Oh how naive he was.
"I think you far, far overestimate me. I can't solve any problem. And as for how... I couldn't tell you. I suppose I just stay quiet and calm, allow people to talk and interfere as little as possible. Say small words of encouragement where necessary. But even still, that's only a start. And it doesn't work for everyone. Not everyone can be helped Jack, they just need time to figure themselves out, and an occasional point in the right direction. It comes with age I suppose. While not old, I'm likely one of the oldest here besides Evanora." He explained. A curious question to ask, to say the least. "And as for me being a good Guild Master, I wouldn't be able to say. I've never really wanted the position, I've been happy with Evanora here. But thank you, it's nice to know I make a good impression. I do try."

 

Guild hall:

Jack's pov: "So even you can't fix everything? Thanks for the advice. I was trying to help Alessia get over something and I think it ended badly. I wish everyone one could be helped." Maybe he should go talk to her again but this time not bring up the prince. He thought for a minute. He then decided what he had to do.

 

"I hope you don't have any sexually transmitted diseases, though I bet your mother passed it on to you." She spoke, unfazed by the blood on her face. "Fine." A magical aura surrounded her now.

In such state, her eyes became darker, and her eyelashes grew larger, thin marking in a light zigzag crossing her right eye, similar markings were present above her thighs and her chest. Her hair was wilder, jutting upwards and her ears enlarged, extending backwards and were pointed. When she smiled, she gained sharp, canine teeth, and her lips were covered in dark lipstick. Her forearms and hands were covered in scales and each sprouting a fin-like protrusion on its outer side. She grew a large, stocky tail made of metal plates or scales. She wore a one piece suit, revealing her arms and legs, which was open on the front and the back, exposing her stomach and upper back. It had lighter colored edges taking on spiky shapes, and a similarly spikey collar was tied around her neck by a cravat tie. Her shoulders were tied in thin belts protruding from the suit, and her feet were covered by matching, high-heeled thigh-high boots, which are decorated by lighter motifs onher upper parts, taking on the shapes of jagged blades pointing downwards on the front of her legs, and on the lower parts, in correspondence to her ankles and feet. She also donned a pair of gauntlets covering the back parts of her transformed arms.

Now with her immense strength, she pulled on Boreal's chains until they fell by his side. She grabbed Boreal by the neck, and held him with her claws, stabbing them into him. She held him up high in the air. "I could squeeze your head off, or I could throw you so hard you would go through the wall of the tower.. or I could cut you bit by little bit... I wonder." Her voice was low, shred in darkness, and sounded like Satan himself.

 

Good. Good. Just as planned. Unfortunately, he hadn't expected her to use Satan Soul magic and then hold him by his neck into the air. He'd have to make his move quickly. He looked her straight in the eyes and began to form up a plan. The solution was simple of course. Ice. Boreal created ice around the place that Mikasa was holding him around the neck. The ice grew, separating her hand from the flesh of his neck so all she had to hold on to was the ice. At that moment, he shattered it. Unfortunately, it didn't exactly work out and she managed to grab him again. ****. That didn't go as planned at all. **** you RNGesus! Now he had to figure a way out of this. She's hardly going to be reasonable. Maybe I can distract her somehow...
"So, this is what Caliborn was saying about changing? Not understanding, not trying to be kinder? Isn't this what you hated being?" Boreal choked. "He believed in you Mikasa! Are you going to test that faith?" He was out of breath now. If he didn't get air soon then...

 

Mikasa breathing got heavier again. He was right. Would Caliborn like this? Would he want this? Would he just see her as a monster? Or did he already... did he already see her as a monster? It didn't really matter... did it? Caliborn probably already saw her like everyone else did. This just made her angrier. With her super Satan speed she ran into the wall, taking Boreal with her, pounding him against the wall, still holding him at his neck as she pounded his head against the wall. She did it over and over, as if Boreal were a rag doll. She was filled with rage now, and you could see the evil in her eye.

Malkira approached the bar, of course he could not eat, or drink, but the social feel of a bar was still comfortable for the remnants of his human soul. Gently he sat on a stool that creaked under his weight and glared (which was really his only expression) at the other occupants. He noticed the bartender Johanna
"Greetings, Johanna is your name correct? Grant me a horn of your strongest mead" He paused "Sorry, old memories coming out. Just give me a beer" he paused again "I mean I can't drink it but... nevertheless"

 

****! ****! ****! That hurt! He had to think of a way out of this, and quickly. Except of course, there wasn't much he could do. He snarled at her and did the best he could.
"Ice Make Rinkaku!" Boreal shouted, gasping for breath. The icy kagune formed up on his back and he braced up again the wall. He put a good amount of magical strength in, so that he could resist his head being slammed against the wall. That should prevent any serious damage for a while at least. Luckily, the door opened and another person walked in. "Help! She's trying to kill me!" Boreal gripped her hand, trying to rip it off his head.

 

Mikasa looked at Trevor, then back at Boreal, then back at Trevor. She gave Boreal one last squeeze, before dropping him onto the ground. "I'm going to retire to my room. I'm not feeling so well. Don't let him fool you, Trevor, don't let him get away either." She spoke quietly, before heading back to her room. She collapsed onto her bed, and her normal clothes returned. Collapsing into her pillow, she started to feel tears in her eyes. She was really a monster, wasn't she?

 

Boreal fell to the ground, landing on his knees. He yelped in pain as he hit the ground roughly, landing on the hard ground. He waited for Mikasa to leave and then stood up. He groaned as he picked himself up off the ground and dusted himself off. He wiped the blood leaking out of his mouth on his sleeve and straightened himself up.
"Thank you, for your timely intervention." Boreal said. He retreated the Ice Kagune from his back and looked up at Trevor. "If you may, let me stand a while. After that beating I need to stretch my limbs and recover." At that point, BOREAL slipped down the wall and landed on his backside. He grunted in pain again. He stretched his legs and arms out, moaning.
"Bloody hell... I'm sorry for this." Boreal apologised. "It's been a rough afternoon."

 

Having successfully been able to help cheer up Taylor.That was good, though now he didn't really have much else to say in that regard. so he thought it best to not bring it up and move on to something else. "So what did you do before coming here?"

"Have you ever needed to make some while you out on a mission?" Leo asked. Given the time that she said it takes to make them, having the make them in the field could be risky. Unless there were some herbs that didn't take long to make. Although the risk factor would still be there, just it wouldn't take as long and hopefully not as much preparations. He was going to ask about what did Skadi need burn ointment, but had a feeling that it involved the girl who'd lost control over her power.

Leo had placed his hand to his chin, pondering what Silvia had just told him. If she was more of a support in fight, then maybe getting a weapon wouldn't to too helpful. There was a shield of course, but he didn't know if she needed one or not. As for magic items and such, maybe one could help with the herbs that she makes. "Have you even tried mixing magic with your herbs?"

 

Taylor sighed, trying to push the last of her emotions back into the depths of her mind. She turned back to Zwei and motioned him to follow her before moving to a table and slumping down in one of the seats. Looking down at her hands, she replied, "Nothing interesting, really. High school, developing magic, guitar, and a club that I formed with a few of my friends in school. I don't really have that interesting of a background." Taylor paused and made eye contact with Zwei before continuing. "How about you? Is your story any more interesting than my boring, generic one?" ​

Along the road back to the Guild hall he remained quiet. He kept on thinking about what they had done, was it justified how they had beaten the man senseless to burn a book? When they arrived back there were a lot more people present than when he had initially arrived. He spotted Malkira and Vance talking by the looks of it, he didn't want to get himself involved with those two, not that he didn't like them, especially after Vance's work in their last mission. He'd rather not get caught in between the two. He then recalled something he had said near the start of that whole fiasco and a half. The girl he had judged so quickly.... he looked around and after a little while found her and went over. "Hey Aoki, uhm I don't want to bother you and I apologise if I just did, but seeing our conversation just prior to the mission stranded at the introductions, what do you think of continuing where we left off?" He said.

 

Boreal stayed quiet from that point on, unwilling to anger the apparently psychopathic man with multiple personalities. This one... This one he would have to plan a bit more to deal with. He almost felt sorry for his brother- Almost. Not even Dale deserved to be stuck in the guild of raging psychopaths. He was starting to feel very, very uncomfortable in the cell. Is this even a nice guild? They could well be a Dark Guild of some kind, judging by some of their members. Let's see- Girl carrying mask of darkness and power, crazy ***** Mikasa and then whoever the hell this guy is. He was sure he heard them mention someone called Ezekiel. Apparently it was too dangerous to put Boreal in the desert with him. He envied the man, whoever he was. At least in the desert he was far, far away from this lot. Oh and there was the batty justice lady at the Island, Mr Punchy, Golden Birdman and then some other people who didn't seem to have much in the way of defining characteristics. Well this is just fantastic. I have to get out of here before I get eviscerated, although I have a feeling that this guy is also S-Class. Not only that, but even crazier than Mikasa was. I don't even have a clue as to how to manipulate him!

 

Ra turned to look at the small child that was in the room with them. She was the one that was part of Magus Ascension. Ezekiel's guild. She asked if they were here to punish her for hurting the fairies. "Fear not, young one. We are not here to bring punishment to you. It's no concern of ours." He said, trying to be reassuring, though it was in a bit of an eccentric manner. Before the conversation could continue, he heard a yelp of pain from next to him. Sharply turning to the girl that knelt beside him, he saw her grab her chest, saying something about her heart. "Your...Heart?" Before she could explain, she turned a ghostly white. It didn't take much to tell that her health was deteriorating fast. He stood, not knowing what to do for a moment.

"The mask..!" Ra said Rhetorically. She'd been worried about not getting it back, explaining how it was important and there would be dire consequences for not retrieving it. Perhaps it was tied to her in some way. He placed one hand under her legs and the other across her shoulders, and picked her up. He had to find help quickly. As fast as his feet would carry him, he ran. He bolted for the last place he had seen Dale, with Cal in his arms. He burst through the doors of the guild hall. "The mask! Where is it?! Quickly!" He yelled out, searching the room for Dale. Last he saw, Dale was the one with the mask. Although he'd been talking with Cal for some time. It may have changed hands.
