"I can do that..." Dale smiled as she rested her head on his chest. He liked having her close like this, it was comforting. He tussled her hair with his hand a bit before lightly holding her. He had released the tight grasp, so she could go when she was ready, but he still held her. He looked at her there, close to him. She's beautiful, he thought to himself. I hope we do this more often, for happier reasons that aren't the risk of my death.



"Come a bit closer, unless you want Boreal to here what we're talking about." Caliborn suggested, speaking from a practical point of view. It only occurred to him after he said it that Mikasa could take it differently. If she did then, well, that would explain everything.

 

Mikasa nodded. Boreal was a prisoner, after all, he wasn't entitled to important information. "Is everything alright? How did the talk with Evanora go?" She asked.



Johanna gave him a small smile. "I'd better go back to tend to the bar." She told Dale. "If you don't want to go back in the main hall you don't have to, I'll talk to you later, alright?" She brushed her hair from her face, before going back to the Guild hall.

"Alright guys we're reopened for business, drink up!" Johanna announced, getting back behind the bar.

 

"Alright, go on then. Thanks Johanna, for everything." Dale nodded. He smiled at her. "I'll take a few minutes to calm down. I don't want to storm in there fuming again, that's not going to help my case much is it?" And thus, he watched her go, before heading to his room. When he got there, he sat down and thought about something he could do and then decided. He would make something for Johanna. He thought of the last bird he had bought for her, a Nightingale and began to make a little ice statuette of it for her. He paid extra close attention to the details, not wanting to make a single mistake for her.



"As well as might be expected. You know everything pretty much, apart from the fact that Dale got in trouble for his little stunt. Now, until he's proved himself he needs to be supervised before he goes on a mission by one of us S-Classes. I can see why she did it, and I'm disappointed in him, but it seems to be more of a burden on us than it does on him. We may as well let him have free rein and instead keep an eye on his conduct. Perhaps the better way is to have an S-Class discreetly observe his behaviour rather than forcing him to tag along. Admittedly, it still slows us down but still- We can't verify a change in behaviour if he knows he's being watched can he?" Caliborn mused. "I do wonder where he left his senses though. He knew full well the trouble he was going to get into for that. Why would he do it? Overall... It seems like a bad idea. Did myself and Edric not train that recklessness out of him? We couldn't sort out his temper but I thought we had dealt with his more irrational actions."

 

Mikasa listened intently. "What's important is that everyone's alright." Mikasa spoke carefully. "You can't change what Dale's done now. There's no time to regret, not for us, not for him. If you begin to regret, you'll dull your future decisions and let others make your choices for you. All that's left for you then is to die. Nobody can foretell the outcome. Each decision you make holds meaning only by affecting your next decision..." She took a deep breath. "That information is of no use for me, Dale should hear it, I suppose."

 

"Hmm?" Taylor eventually said, looking up drowsily. Before she had a chance to register that it was actually Zwei that was talking to her, two major events occured in the guild hall as people began to come back from their missions. The first involved her lover playing matchmaker for what seemed to be an innocent girl. She winced sympathetically at the spinning thing; that probably wasn't pleasant. Once the she had been 'paired' with an unsuspecting young... bird, they were whisked away. Almost immediately following, Evanora punished a short tempered man for breaking a major rule. Well, maybe he deserved it. Breaking the rules wasn't cool, even if you need money, although the decision, once thought about a little, seemed to be more of a burden on the S-Class wizards than the rule-breaker himself. After everything had already happened and her mind was more alert, her attention shot back to Zwei. "Did I finish what I went to- Oh yeah! I remember now. I got... sidetracked. Did you just put the cat in your room, then? And what'd you name him?" Taylor inquired cheerfully, glad to have someone to talk to again.​

 

"I'll talk to Dale about it at some point. Merely wished to speak my thoughts aloud." Caliborn replied, a little put off by her talk of all there being left being death. She was... Grim at times their Mikasa. "Mikasa, are you alright? Ever since the island you've seemed... Irritated. Is there something bothering you?" The answer to this would be undoubtedly interesting.

 

Therity completely ignored the events occuring in the guild hall, as none of them directly affected her. However, she did notice someone she thought she recognized sitting at the bar. Someone from her past, someone who she hadn't seen in over ten years, and someone who she had killed herself.
"Taylor?" she whispered to herself in disbelief.​

 

"We named it Grif." Zwei said. Finally he'd gotten a response out of her. He didn't now what she meant by her getting "sidetracked" but decided not to ask about it.

 

Taylor grinned. "That's a really cool name! So I take it that he was a boy, then? Grif seems like a boy name." The name had a nice ring to it. Zwei clearly had good taste. Taylor opened her mouth to talk again, intending to bring up music and ask her friend what his favorite song was, but heard the felt someone's eyes on her. She turned around, and looked at the sea of faces, searching for the one whose stare she felt. Not noticing anyone, she turned back to Zwei, her thoughts somewhat distracted off of the topic of music. "Do you ever get the feeling that someone's star-" she began, before she finally noticed the culprit behind Zwei still near the door. Taylor's face hardened as she recognized the girl. Her features had matured since Taylor had last seen her, but that was definitely her. "Therity," she said coldly, her friendly demeanor gone for the moment.



Therity's eyes narrowed as Taylor met her stare. That's right, she had last seen her ten years ago, when her family left the town. Therity's own sister had been best friends with Taylor when the two were only kids, which was when Taylor was approxomately ten or eleven. Therity couldn't remember the exact year. Taylor had told Abigale a dangerous secret, and Abigale, not really knowing better at the time, told the wrong people, who spread it around the town. Eventually Abi, too, turned against her best friend and joined the ridicule that the entire community was giving Taylor for being a lesbaian. Not long after, Taylor's family left the town and Therity assumed that the kid had committed suicide. Astonished and a little shaken at Taylor's appearance here, Therity turned and walked away, her not allowing her face to give away any of the rare emotions going flowing freely through her body.



Taylor stared at Therity's back as the older woman walked away. Taylor's hands balled into fists at the sight of her. So she was here. At the guild. At her new home. Was Abigale a member of the guild, too? Those two were super close, so she wouldn't be surprised if Abi had followed her older sister here. Taylor would have to quit if her former friend was here. She could not live with that. Taylor stood up abruptly, fear and anger and sadness all somewhat evident on her face as she recalled lost memories. "I think I have to go," she said, but couldn't make herself move.​

Zwei's eyes followed Taylor's gaze towards Therity. Did they have some kind bad history with each other or something? From the expression that was n her face, that seemed like it was a safe thing to assume. "You okay?" That was the first thing that he could ask her.

"Not at all, I'll be right here." While Silva had gone off to the herbal shop, Leo had dug into his pocket and pulled out a coin. He'd tossed the coin in the air a few times before finally flipping it into the fountain that he stood before. Doing this had become a bit of a habit for him. It wasn't every fountain though, he didn't want to waste nearly every coin that he had. It was usually at fountains that were in or near areas that he's taken pictures of and he'd taken a handful of pictures in this town.

"Its fine, so what exactly did you restock on?" Things related to herbs was out his field of knowledge. The only thing that he knew about them was what he had overheard others say. As they continued walking, they passed various stall and shops that were set up along the sides. "So how do you use your magic when on a mission?" They started to walk near a blacksmith as well as a magic shop and he thought that he could find something to help her depending on her answer.

 

"I-" Taylor mumbled. "I don't think so." She began to walk away slowly, somewhat in a trance from remembering. ​

 

Charlotte, while overall pleased and joyous at the end result of the whole S-Class mission, the boat ride back had put a slight damper on her mood. It wasn't as if anything had happened, quite the opposite actually. She was just still upset with their guild member who had betrayed them, their S Class member who seemed to make Dale's normal attitude seem like one of the most pleasurable people to be around, and the fact that Boreal, while still unconscious, was alongside them. Nevertheless, the guild had returned from their mission and everyone else seemed to have been back as well. Charlotte had simply decided to take a seat by herself and reflect back on the mission, and the entirety of both of their fights, while listening in on what was going on between Dale and Evanora. The both of them had their merits in what they were arguing, and Charlotte did feel that she would have to report to the Guild Master, however before she could do so, one of the people who had gone on the mission with her had approached her. "Oh, hello Ander. What would you like to speak about?"

Lucia was sad to hear that Thomas didn't think of the guild as a family yet, though why he didn't put some concern in her. What did he know was going to happen? Before she could ask, he immediately dismissed it, and then immediately was flustered by what he said next. He thought they were on a date? Lucia was under the impression they just being friends...hanging out and having a drink an all. She wasn't entirely sure how to respond to it, and suddenly seemed to be a bit more nervous as she said, "uh- ye-yeah, I'd be up for uh, hanging out again, yeah." Feeling like a combination of the Hindenburg crashing into the Titanic, she felt it necessary to almost immediately change the subject as she said, "he-hey! Look over there, it's your buddies from that team thingy your a part of. Looks like they were on quite the adventure as well, you should probably go catch up with them!" Soon after she had said that, someone else had walked over to the two and Lucia had just said, "oh, oh hey there Amanda"

As Rho had gotten back from the job, he was immediately taken away by someone who was....peculiar. There was something odd about the white haired girl, and not just with her personality. Nevertheless, after her weird dating show adventure that she had gone on with, and his basis winning the girl that Rho hadn't actually cared for in the slightest. Nevertheless, with nothing really to do, and not really caring about anything, he just sort of sat down around and observed all the goings on of the guild.

 

"I can help you if you want me too?" Zwei said. He wasn't quite sure what to say right now, hell he wasn't even sure just what was bugging her. But what kid of friend would he be if he didn't offer to help her. He started to trail behind her as he awaited a response.

 

Guild hall:



Ander's pov:
While he waited for Charlotte to respond. He heard noises in the guild hall. Gaius walked into the guild. What was he doing? uggh. This was going to end well he could already tell. Ra and Calxiyn somehow disappeared. Looking around he spotted some new members. What was Evanora doing or thinking? Did she forget what happened to the last person that joined? He watched as Calborn took Dale and Boreal away. Then there it was the sound of a chair making a loud grating noise as the legs were dragged noisily over the floor. He turned around and saw Alessia standing up and.. wait that what was he doing there. Did he follow him here did Jack not have enough of his own adventure that he had to follow him to the guild too. What was he doing here? Then Evanora words rang out. 'Their lives wouldn't need saving if you hadn't put them in danger in the first place. It could have gone much differently, you know that as well as I do. You're selfish, and you're only thinking about yourself. Think about the members of this Guild.' What? was she kidding herself? She was no better. He quite had enough of her. What was wrong with this women? He was most curious on how she became guild leader. She let Calxiyn go lose with a weapon. Who in there right mind would put her in charge? What was wrong with this guild? Every woman leader ether was not there, a complete idiot or a nut job. A lot of people in this guild were useless and it brought up the question on why some members were in the guild. She had a lot to answer to. Was it to much to ask for something normal? When Charlotte spoke he was some what distracted. He started walking away. "Hu what yea, sorry. Something Is deeply wrong with that women. How do you think she became guild leader? Who in there right mind would put her in change?" He was completely misafied by how she was the leader. She really no better then what Dale did. If she ever puts the guild in danger like she did with the Galuna I will put a end to the madness. Evanora let Calxiyn have the mask." Then the look on his faced changed like he was deep in thought about something and that something was bothering him.

 

Bothering her? She laughed. She wasn't bothered by someone as unimportant as Calxiyn. "I'm fine." Mikasa wasn't sure how else to be convincing. "I'm always irritated when dealing with people...." Her voice trailed off. She was messing this whole thing up. She closed her eyes, and for some reason could feel tears sting them. "I'm fine." She said again, her voice quivering.

 

Guild hall:

Amanda's pov: Oh no, she totally didn't notice Thomas was right there with the things that were going on in her mind. At least Lucia hadn't noticed she had cryed or that she wasn't fully there in her mind. "Er, should I leave?" Then Lucia destracted Thomas. She had a fealing Lucia didn't want to be left a lone. She felt strangely nervous as part of her wanted to tell Lucia what was bothering her while the other said to say nothing. "Er, whats new?" Her nervousness probably was notable but she didn't care.

 

Taylor stopped when she realized Zwei was walking behind her, causing him to bump into her. She stayed silent for a minute, before her whole body began to shake from dry, invisible sobs. Her bangs covered her eyes, so nobody could see the tears welling up in her eyes. After a few moments, she asked quietly, "Do you know if there is a girl named Abigale in this guild?" ​

 

When Taylor had stopped after he bumped into her, Zwei took this as a chance to take a better notice of her body language. Her body was shaking and he could hear what sounded like crying, but could see any tears. One could also say that she was laughing, but usually laughs that start off similar to how she was right end end in a maniacal manner. All and all, she was clearly not alright. Just what kinda of history does she have with Therity. "I don't think there is, what does she look like?" Maybe whoever this Abigale person was part of the reasons she was acting like she was.

 

Taylor was a little bit reassured by Zwei's not recognizing Abi's name. But he was still semi new too, and he probably didn't know everyone yet. "She looks a lot like Therity, except darker eyes and her hair is more of a golden blonde as opposed to Therity's white blonde." Sobs still threatened to rack Taylor's body, but she was a little calmer now.​

 

With the description he was given as a base, he tried to think back to see if he recalled seeing anyone who looked like Therity, but with the described features. Seconds has passed before coming to the conclusion that he hasn't seen anyone who looked like that at all. "Don't think I've seen anyone who looked like. Who is Abigale anyway?"
