In The Times Of Fairy Tails

Skadi listened to the conversation between Thea and Evanora, and though Thea may have been embarassed about calling the guildmaster her mother, Skadi couldn't help but smile a little at it. It was a good thing, really, that she felt so close to Evanora. After all the suffering the little girl had gone through she deserved to find some happiness and feel some comfort. The ice mage nodded in response to what Thea had asked. "Yeah I promise. You didn't mean to do it, and that's what matters. Besides, if I could tell you how many people's arms and legs I accidentally froze when learning my ice magic you wouldn't feel half as bad. I learned how to undo my own magic quickly, that's for sure!" she replied with a laugh.


The doors to Sapphire Eclipse opened and one of the more powerful members stepped through the door. He was known only as Gexln, and he had just returned from a long and tiring mission. The mission he had been on was to take down a powerful group of one thousand Vulcans in a faraway land. Why someone wanted a thousand vulcans beaten to a pulp, Gexln would never know, but he had been paid so he didn't really question it. He hadn't done it alone, however. Turning to look at the other S-Class member that had helped him, Gexln spoke up. "For a guild hall that was practically destroyed, I'd say it's looking pretty good. Wouldn't you agree, Trevor? It certainly looks better than the mountain of corpses we left behind. I bet those Vulcans didn't expect that when they threatened the town. Was it two members going after them, or three? And which one of you was the one that was actually fighting? Was it the calm one or the murderous one?" he said. The words he spoke made it sound like he was joking, but his tone said otherwise. Walking over to Johanna, he waved. "Hey Johanna, sorry that we weren't here to protect the place from Ezekiel. Guild looks like it's holding up well enough, though" he greeted. ​

 

Geez that looked painful. It sure was a good that that Gaius's Ice shield was still holding up. Other wise, that just might've been a bit much for the insult. Next came the bird that attacked Ra and only Ra, which Veilen couldn't help but to chuckle at at bit. In a way, he was betrayed by his own kind. Still that bird could easily be a nuisance if left to its own devices, so it needed to be dealt with quickly. Though Veilen had faith that his comrades in arms would be able to deal with it quickly so he turned his attention to Boreal and fired a fire spell towards him.

"Don't call me a small fry, I'm still an S-Class member." Leo said in a slightly annoyed tone as a response to Trevors words. Unfortunately that would likely be a common thing that would happened to him. Being an S-Class only got him so far, wouldn't change the fact that he was a) the youngest S-class in the guild and b) that he was still growing. That still didn't meant he didn't hate it when people pointed out his shortness or when situations where his height hindered him. Woe was Leo, the 16 year old S-Class.

Hearing Trevor bring up his other personality again cause a brief shiver to go down his spine. That was not a peasant experience for him to remember and thus, his dwelling on it was short before he stopped. Instead he started to look around the guild and it was just as Gexln had said, it looked pretty good despite being partially destroyed during the who Ezekiel incident. "Man, I wish I was here for when the guild was attack." There was a hint of whine in his voice as he spoke but he didn't have much time to say anything else for Trevor had pushed him towards a girl. Was he trying to play matchmaker here? Sure she was cute and all, but she seemed troubled and like she needed a friend. That was when he actually heard what Trevor had said, which was exactly the same as the conclusion he'd come to on his own, and nodded. "Sure, I'll see what I can do." Thus he ended up taking a seat next to Silvia and spoke. "Hey, are you alright?"

After dropping the cat off in his room, Zwei had returned to the main area of the Guild to find that three people had just arrived. One of which looking out of place bother height and age wise compared to the other two. Still it was no concern of his so he just found so he just headed over to the bar i guess, it where Lucia and Thomas are having their "date" (Before you accuse me of trying to sabotage it Gabi, he'll be sitting two seats away from them minding his own business.) and basically just sat there.

Evanora chuckled a little at Thea calling her 'Mom'. "I promise you Thea, you don't have to worry alright?"

"Well, we'll need someone with Dispelling Magic if it's really charmed. I'm sure that finding a Wizard with that magic won't be a problem though." Cassandra nodded. She then looked over at Damian. "Yes, to get into the Guild you need to take a number of tests. One of them is fighting with one of the Normal-Class Members. You don't need to win, but it's a way that we can see your skills. There are also other tests, but I'll get to that later. If you go talk to Johanna, since Dale isn't here I'm sure she'd be happy to take his place and have a fight with you."

Johanna, grinned widely as Gexln, Leo and Trevor returned. "Aw I'm so glad you're back! No fighting now ok? We got along fine without you all, don't worry. The Guild is fine." Johanna said, stopping her duty as barrettes to run over to the two. "Evanora is up in one of the dorm rooms, I'm sure she'll be down soon."

"Uh, okay, I don't really fight though..." nevertheless he went back to Johanna "Hi, so apparently I need to fight and stuff? To show off my skills or something? I'm not really sure what's going on, this place is extremely chaotic. Uh, I should probably say I'm not a very good fighter, I mostly work with medicine and stuff"

"Yes, let's kill him" Malkira suggested. "Too extreme? Okay, let's... incapacitate him. Violently"

 

Galuna Island:



Ander's pov:
At this point he did not know what to do. Al must be cheating with the rng. come on Al 6 times in a row. Regardless of what was going to happen he used a attack. He was not sure why.

Sara's pov:
She watched a Cassandra hold her bow without much interest. At this point she did not know what to say or do. She took her bow back from Cassandra. That was sure helpful she thought. She walked away from Cassandra said to see a dispelling magic user. The only one that she could see having that sort of magic was Evanora. Evanora good luck getting help from her. It looked like she was on her own. She walked into the tranning hall and let out a scream. This place was a mess. Who would do such a thing?

 

"Thank you." Caliborn replied coolly. He heard Mikasa's muttering and she had a distinctly dark look on her face. He would have spoken to her about it, because there was no reason to be hostile to the man who had volunteered to take them especially considering the inconvenience that their guildmates had caused them. However, she didn't need a public reminder of her manners. He didn't want to embarrass a good friend like that, so he held his tongue. He stepped on to the boat and sat down beside Mikasa. "Once again, I apologise for my guild members. They're new, and some of them a little brash. I'd like to ask you something. There was a man with them, brown hair, has a dark look in his eyes most of the time and held a staff with an eye on the top. What was he doing? Do you remember if he made any effort to stop them, or at least attempt to reprimand them for their actions?"



She had cried. She had cried for some time. Death, a concept she wasn't familiar with. She had seen grandparents pass away from old age, but nothing like what she had seen. Nothing like watching someone burn. Nothing like someone dying, being murdered by someone. It was wrong. It wasn't fair. It should never happen again. Prince Eric should never have died. He wasn't the best prince to his people at first, but he tried. He came back! He tried to fix what he had done and free his people! He freed them, but died for them. She was angry. Why did it have to be him? Someone who tried, someone willing to risk themselves for others like that? Never again. Why is it, that this guild fails? Why did we fail to save the soul of that boy at the cathedral? Why couldn't we save Prince Eric? Why did that guild member, Leviathan, have to die to Ezekiel? Why is it that every time I have tried to do something right, the mission seems to have been bittersweet or a failure? No more. Alessia stood up off the bed and walked out of the room. Her sword was strapped to her back. She had to have a word with someone. Evanora. She will tell me why. She's the Guild Master here. She can answer why we have failed, why people have died. She will tell me. And then I'll know what to do. She strode purposefully through the guild, her eyes forwards. Her hair, once brushed off her face hung over it like a dark shroud. She had not the will, nor desire to move it. She spotted Evanora and walked straight towards her, the bitterness and sense of injustice overcoming her usual, more positive attitude. She saw Thea standing there, talking to Evanora.

She remembered. The inferno, the flames that burned the fairies to death. Death. This girl tried to attack the Guild. Who brought her here? She was the companion of a killer. She was a killer herself. They were innocent people. She burned them all alive. She turned them and their homes to ash. Fire, ash, burning. Eric. It all came back to fire. Why did everything seem to burn? Why did everything beautiful and kind have to burn? She burned them all. Living creatures, all burned. People. Burned. The boy from the guild... Burnt to nothing by Ezekiel's power. She clenched her fists and held back the anger. They didn't need to see. Besides, Evanora wouldn't answer her questions if she did anything to displease her. She wanted answers. She would wait to get them, and decide from there.
"Evanora, I want to ask you something when you're finished." She said, lacking in the typical energy her voice usually carried.

 

Having taken his leave of Jack, Ren had planned on going up to his dorm room and taking this opportunity to rest and think about things, but his attention was caught be a muffled scream somewhere in the Guild. Judging from the faintness and direction of the noise, Ren took a guess that it came from the training room, and so made his way over there.
His guess proved to be correct, as he found a blonde girl looking quite distressed. Sara was her name, right? That vaguely reminded Ren of something. He had something of hers, right? Jewelry... ah, the locket! But that could wait for now. First, he wanted to know what exactly had caused her to scream.
"Hello," he said to her cautiously, but with a smile. "You're Sara, right? My name is Ren. Did you, uhm, scream just now?" Looking around the room, he couldn't see anything or anyone in particular that should have alarmed her. It was a bit trashed, but it was a training room, that stuff happened. "Is everything alright?" he asked the girl, searching for an answer to this situation.

 

Guild hall:



Sara's pov:
She let that scream go. She looked around the training hall some more. There was a decapitated manikin that was in several pieces. Saying the training hall was a mess was a understatement. She walked around the room some more. Somewhat unaware of Ren standing there. The shock of the room had brought her to a place that she was afraid of everything. She looked at her bow briefly. She could not do any more harm to the training hall so why not practice. She griped her bow loosely. She put an arrow in it and let go. She was so afraid of what was going to happen her hands were shaking. Was Cassandra right was it really her. The bow misfired and land only a few feet from her in the ground. The arrow was no were near the target. "Maybe Cassandra is right." speaking to her self more then anything. The look of frustration on her face. "The bow has killed. The bow. Is it me? I it because I don't want to hut another? Is there no hope for me?" She felt someone watching her. Then she realized someone spoke. A man's voice. The voice was more caring and not one of a idiot. She tuned around to see who it was. It was some person. She had no clue who he was. 'your Sara, right?' How did this man know who she was? When she did not know who he was. "How do you know who I am? I am Sara." Then the realization hit her. He was watching her. From the scream on. How much did he see? She started blushing. "Ho .. how much did youuu see?" suddenly nervous. Her shyness coming to her. The man said his name was Ren. "This training hall is more then a mess the usual Ren." She started pasting around the room. no one ever saw her like this. This man saw everything. Now all she could do was try to hide her embarrassment. She took a seat and looked at her bow. "I am not as good as everyone thinks. What if I..." Her voice trailed off. If some one dies because of me again I could not live with my self, she thought. She looked up from her bow and into the mans eyes. Was he another person just to blow her off? No his eyes said something different. They looked like someone that cared.

 

Gexln rolled his eyes as Johanna mentioned Evanora. "She still the master? I suppose when she actually decides to help she can be real threatening. That explains why everything's still intact" he said. He knew he shouldn't badmouth Evanora, especially since so many looked up to her, but as much as Gexln respected her as a guild master, he didn't respect those who command from the sidelines. Everytime a big problem occurred, it was left up to the guild members to solve it, and though they were capable there were many, many times that the help of their 'caring' guild master would have helped. Turning to look at Trevor, he forced a grin on his face. "Man are you going to regret that" the man said with a chuckle. Turning to look back at Johanna, he thought about what he wanted for a moment. "I'll have the most expensive drink we've got. I'm going to drink this guy here under the table" ​

 

"Hmm, you want to get some images out of your head." Leo repeated, making sure that he'd heard her correctly. The young S-Class then proceeded to tap his finger to his chin as he attempted to think of a way to help the poor girl. He wasn't sure just what images that she wanted to get right, but maybe distracting her mind would help. That was when the idea had arisen in his head. "Hold on, I think I might have something to help." Leo then proceeded to rummage through his many pockets, both outside and inside his jacket til he found what he was looking for. What he pulled out and then placed on the table was his trusted magic camera. "If you want we could look through some of the pictures I've taken. I might just help with you dilemma." He wasn't certain on the effectiveness of his place, but anything was worth a shot. Long as it helped then it was good for him.

 

Ra used thunder

 

"He made no effort to stop them, no sir. By the time they had over taken the boat it was too late, though, he yelled at them very harshly when he saw what was going on. I told them not to worry, as I would have taken them to the island anyway." The man explained.

"Just because you would have taken them anyway, you let them walk all over you? Is that right?" Mikasa's voice was 'dead', and devote of emotion. She scoffed. "How pathetic of you."

Evanora stood up at the sound of Alessia voice. "I think I am, quite finished here. " She gave a small smile to Thea, before stepping out with Alessia. "What is troubling you?"

"Fighting me? Wow, you're pretty lucky, but don't expect me to go easy on you ok?" Johanna smiled at the newcomer. She then made the drink for Gexln, before stepping out from behind the bar. "Alright, whenever you're ready!"

 

"Everlue is scum, but we can't kill him or that will reflect poorly on the Guild." Zéphryine said. But what did she care, she wasn't actually in the Guild anyway.

"Ohhhhh what a wonderful offer... but yet... how can I accept it when I know you're actively stealing from me..." Everlue exposed his ear, and inside of it looked to be a hearing device. "Maybe instead we play a little game..."

 

Gexln sighed as Trevor's british personality came out. Damn he hated British guys. He looked at the drink that Johanna had poured him, and he lifted it up and began drinking it as fast as he was able. In moments, he placed the glass back on the bar. Man he was going to regret that later, he was sure of it. But for the moment.. "Uncultured swine? I would think the uncultured one is the one that is taking over somebody else's body. He's not fighting Johanna to beat her up, he's fighting her to test himself, nothin' wrong with that. Besides, she can hold her own, she wouldn't be an S class if she couldn't. Me and you are gonna fight now, so I'd suggest pullin' out one of them other personalities you've got. How about Trevor? He seems like he could put up a good fight. Though if you wanna stay in that one, I don't give a flying ****, I love beatin' up Brits" Gexln stated. Yup, he was going to regret it.


Skadi slowly wandered over to the door. "Well...if you're sure..I mean I should probably check on the others. The moment you're feeling better, come find me, okay?" she spoke, before leaving. She headed back towards the main room of the guild hall, the place where most people usually were, and she stopped still as she saw the commotion going over by the bar. "I leave for five minutes and people start challenging each other...this guild sure is interesting sometimes" she muttered to herself, before spotting Silvia talking to a person she didn't recognise. She went over to her friend and gave a quick wave, before glancing at Leo. "Silvia, do you have any idea what's going on over at the bar? And who's this? Is he new?" she asked, now turning to face Leo. "Hey new guy, how're you enjoying the place?" ​

 

Aias was somewhat confused as to the workings of the guild. They'd been sent from one person to another, only to be sent back to the person before, when they had been standing mere feet away from each other. He didn't think that joining the guild would be so much like quests in Aion. He disregarded the thought, and watched as Damian approached Johanna. He stood silent for the most part. After Damian was through, it would be Aias' turn to face her. He wasn't particularly strong yet, and he knew this. It was just to test their skills. He waited for their battle to be over so he could begin his.

Beucette stumbled back into the guild hall, her hair a mess and obvious exhausted. She took a seat at the bar, and looked to the new faces. Let's see...There was the guy from shoehorn.rp, the guy from that character dump a while back, and Mr."I'm so awesome it's a bother."...Wait Quinn hadn't been introduced yet? Oh. Well, time to get on with that segment of the post!

The fourth S-class took a seat at the bar next to Gexln. "First you go and take the good job, and don't even invite me so i'm stuck with the **** assignments, and now you don't even invite me to the party? That's cold. I'll be joining in on this drinking contest, if you don't mind." Quinn declared to the other S-classes. He'd just gotten back from a mission himself, although it wasn't exactly glamorous. The mission was literally called "We are bees. We hate you." And yes, it involved the termination of a large number of bees. Didn't pay much either. It was chump change compared to that vulcan job. He'd planned to go on it, but he got to the job board to find it was already taken. "Johanna, when you're finished with the new guys, another round over here!" ​

 

Silvia seemed to be on board with his plan so Leo started to flipped through some of the pictures stored on his camera. Normally he would've started off with the most recent one that he'd taken, this case being the Vulcans, but he didn't want to accidentally scare her or get some other image stuck in her head that she didn't want. So that was out of the question. So for this case he would go with something a little more soothing. While he was in the mist of doing thing, she'd introduced herself, as did someone else who knew her.

"Nice to meet you Silvia. I'm Leo Heartern, S-Class mage of Sapphire Eclipse." He said. Leo figured that would clear up that he wasn't a new member so he turned towards Skadi to answer her question. "Well its certainly a lot more livelier than I last time I was here." His eyes darted towards the drinking game that was taking place between Gexln, Quinn and Trevor. That certainly didn't take long. Oh well, back to what he was doing. Searching through the pictures on his camera, he finally found one that he thought would help Silvia. "What do you think about this picture?" The first picture that was shown was a of simple landscape. A long tree stood in the background while a few leaves that had fallen from said tree were caught still within the picture. It was a fairly simple picture but the serenity that could be felt hopefully would help Silvia. Least that's what Leo was aiming for.
