Jack now changed the direction of the conversation, now preferring to ask Ren about his past and mention his own. Probably an attempt to get to know his guild mate better, which was reasonable enough. From what Jack had said of his past it sounded like he had been able to help a lot of people in his travels.
“I travelled around a lot as well,” Ren told Jack when he had finished. “For quite a while, actually. It's been... twelve years, since I left my native country. I travelled east from town to town, doing the odd job every now and then to earn my keep and save up for those times when I need to go by sea. After a while I ended up on this continent, eventually heard about Sapphire Eclipse and its reputation, and so decided I would try it out.
“So, what about you?” Ren continued, now switching the focus of the conversation back to Jack. "You say you travelled a lot. Where did you come from, and why did you leave? Did you get sand in your boots like me?” he joked. “Ah, but there's something wonderful about seeing new places, isn't there? For a moment, you feel like there's no worries in the world, and everything is new. Have you ever felt that?”

After walking away from Evanora and not receiving the somewhat expected reprimand, Mizuki was left furious and uncertain of what to do next. Angrily she made her way to one of the training rooms and began decimating the training dummies there. She was done with Evanora, the woman wouldn't listen and Mizuki wasn't in a position to do anything about her. She stabbed the dummy viciously through the chest. Stupid *****.
A thought struck her then. Why the hell did she even care that much? This guild was nothing in the grand scheme of things, and nothing to her. The whole place could go to hell as far as she was concerned. The only reason she was here, the only thing she had to be concerned with, was that man.

The next blow to the dummy sliced it completely in half, and she left the training room to reenter the Guild Hall. Mizuki was calm now, and focused. Scanning the room, she saw Him. Unfortunately he was talking to someone else... that idiot Jack. She felt a faint sense of irritation arise, but she quickly suppressed it. Emotions wouldn't help her right now. Lurking along the edges of the Hall, she positioned herself in an area where she could keep an eye on her target and follow him discretely when he left the room.
Settling down on a chair pulled up against the wall, she drew her sword and began to oil it. When the time came to kill, it would do well to have her blade well maintained.

With a frustrated sigh Damian realised this girl wasn't going to wake up any time soon and no help was arriving. The guild would probably help out. Mustering his strength he picked up the girl carefully, she was cooling down now, and began to carry her towards the guild. (He noticed something very, very strange happening on the roof but decided to ignore it, it's not like he was into that stuff anyway). He was beginning to tire as he clumsily stumbled into the Guildhall, there were so many people milling around he had no idea who to speak to
"Excuse me, uh, anyone? I found this girl on fire down by the river, also my name's Damian and I've come to join your guild... does anyone care?" He exclaimed, if someone didn't take the girl soon he would drop her...

 

Guild hall:

Jack's pov:
"Where did you come from, and why did you leave? (Stuff here) Ya, but there's something wonderful about seeing new places, isn't there? For a moment, you feel like there's no worries in the world, and everything is new. Have you ever felt that?” He listened to Ren as he didn't tell him much. "I don't know were I am from I never met my family. This great Wizard tought me magic. I never knew I was one. I took a test and did beter then anyone. I surpassed everyone, even my master. He became my family. His name is Verrik Radagast." He stopped suddenly he didn't like remembering Verrik. He became very sad for a moment. "I don't know what happened to him. People keep telling me he is dead. I left after people said he died to keep his dream of healing and help alive. He left me a book storge that I take were ever I end up. I have read at lest all of them five times. I wish there was no worries. No matter were you go there will be that one person you can't help or heal. Yes, traveling is nice you do get to see nice places. Yes, I have felt it. What about you? Were are you from? Who trained you? Why did you leave? Here is a picture of my master." He pulled a picture out of his pocket and showed it to Ren. He then put the picture back in his pocket.

 

Evanora heard Caleb's request. "I'm sorry, Caleb. I know that she came home with her Teammates, but other then that I'm not sure. She might be in town, but I know she's alright. You could ask Cassandra for her to look with Crystal ball." She nodded to him, before seeing a newcomer to the Guild.

Evanora smiled at Aias. "Fear not, I knew you were coming. Cassandra, our seer, told me so. I've prepared a room for you, brave warrior." As she was about to continue, she saw another she knew of, Damian, bringing in Thea. "I direct to the lovely Johanna at the bar there if you have anymore questions, please excuse me."

Evanora had run over, taking the young girl from Damian. "Thank you Sir Damian. I'm sorry that this is the way you had to be introduced to Sapphire Eclipse. I'll take care of the Thea, but for now, you should talk to Johanna as well. Please excuse me." Evanora took Thea up to her Dorm room, and lied on her bed. "Thea child, what has happened to you?" Evanora asked this more to herself.

"Weapons?! Of course, I am The Wizard of the Sword and Armor." Cassandra chuckled a little. "What do you need?"

Johanna, who was cleaning glasses at the Bar, saw the cuteness that was Thomas and Lucia on a date. She made her drink, and then smiled at the couple. "You guys look pretty cute together, you must have done some bonding on that mission." Johanna's smile was radiantly shining

Damian hoped the girl would be alright, but he was glad to have helped. For the meantime he walked over to the woman Evanora had introduced as Johanna, who was cleaning glasses at the bar for some reason.
"Uh, hi, Evanora said I should talk to you" he awkwardly stated, there appeared to be a couple on a date sitting at the bar too, which was odd.

 

"You know she's alright but you don't know where she is? You don't even know how she was on the mission, do you? If what Mizuki said is true, then you don't have a clue about how she's been since she left, how could you possibly know she's alright?" Caleb asked. Perhaps he was overreacting, in all likelihood he probably was, but he was worried. Paranoia was a dangerous thing indeed. At that point, he heard a loud scream come from a distance. It sounded odd, not quite terrified pain but something else entirely, but a scream was a scream. "Forgive me for what I'm about to do. Danger, must save" the boy stated, before taking off towards the dorms. He hurried to the fork and then turned towards the girls dorms. Apologising to all the girls he passed as he ran, he hurried by them and pinpointed where roughly the sounds were coming from.

He found the door that lead to the roof. It was odd, having a door to a roof in a castle, and it didn't make much sense...but there it was. Opening the door, he rushed through it to see something that he had most certainly not expected. Two naked women, going at it like the horniest of horny rabbits. Well, that explained the screaming, and they didn't look like they were in danger. Quickly, Caleb realized he had been staring for just a moment, but that moment brought immense guilt as he was a taken man. Worse than that, Silvia was there. She was Skadi's friend, maybe she'd know something about her disappearance? "Avert your eyes!" Caleb exclaimed as he dove forward and put his hands over Silvia's eyes. He waited a moment, and then spoke up. "Have you seen Skadi?" he asked quietly.


Skadi had reached the castle without too much trouble. What was better than that was she'd found the dolls Thea had been talking about, or at least what she assumed were those dolls. She had searched the rest of the castle and had found no other dolls, so they had to be them. The trip there had been relatively straightforward, she had avoided the main roads and fought off one small group of bandits. Skadi had almost expected Ezekiel's group to be there, but they were not, thankfully. Grabbing the dolls, she paused for a moment as she put them into the small bag she had with her. There were 8 of the dolls, and since she'd searched the other rooms this had to be all of them, but were they enough to help repair the gap that had been made between them?

As Skadi began walking back to Sapphire Eclipse, she made sure to take the route back that she had taken to get there, but she wasn't as focused. She had the strap of the bag slung around her shoulder, but her hands weren't holding the bag. Skadi was working on the first of two gifts she was making for Thea. She was holding one of the dolls in front of her and working her ice magic to create a dress of ice around the small figure. Once she had finished that, she moved onto the next one; the more difficult one by far..she hoped it would be worth it.​

 

Guild Hall:



Sara's pov:
What did she need? How was it that Cassandra had no clue? This woman was a lie. She was clearly not what the stories about her said. How long has she been lying? Could this woman really see into the past or was she a really good guesser? All she wanted was her bow fixed. Was that so hard? Anger filled her and she brought her fist onto the table. Her fist that hit the table made a lode bang. "sorry" She tried to clam herself. She was going to need this woman's help and yelling at her was not going to help. He emotions has not been the same since she lost her locket. Then it hit her, it was the mans kindness that helped her though everything. Now he was gone. Why was she always angry all the time? She never had an answer. She looked around the guild hall to see what everone was doing. There was Jack and he was talking to someone that she could not quite see because of the veiew. Who ever he was talking to she was sure it was a lie and or stupid. She conited to look around and noticed that some people were missing. She looked back at Cassandra. After a few minutes of not saying anything she spoke. Her voice was now soft, almost like she was tiring to hold back her anger. "How is it that you do not know what I want? You are said to see into the past." She was utterly confused as to why this woman could not help her. She could see that she would have to spell out everything for her. "This bow" pointing at it. "Was one of the only things that I bought in my life. I use to practice with it in the wood were I lived. One day it was stolen from me. I managed to get it back. The thing is the bow never seemed to work again. It does but not the way I wanted." She left out details. Like how she killed a man with it. How were ever she went a fire followed. That no matter what she did she would forever be lost. No one ever cared about. The only one that ever did was now dead. She blamed herself everyday. She was not even sure how she manage to live this long with herself. There was now sadness in her eyes as she looked at Cassandra. She was not sure what she would do without this woman's help. Although she did not like fighting so perhaps this was for the best. "I want to help people but I don't know how. I am lost."

 

"Everyone, please. Be calm! It is those miscreants that stole from you that we are here for!" Caliborn spoke, his voice loud enough to be heard over the crowd but not aggressive. He held his hands out, open wide to show that he meant no harm. "Now then, if you want to get something back, I ask you to work with us. I am happy to pay for passage, including what my Guild Mates failed to pay! I just ask you to provide us transport to the island and quickly. We're going to need to get there if we're to reprimand our wayward members." Dale wouldn't be that stupid as to steal. I wonder whose fault that was. Still... It was on him to try and stop this sort of folly. How did he allow something like that to happen?


Veilen used Thunder. It dealt 3 damage, but with Magic and Weapon it dealt 12 damage.
Ander used Aero. it dealt 7 damage, but with Magic and Weapon it dealt 20 damage.
Ra used Aero. it dealt 3 damage, but with Magic and Weapon it dealt 32 damage.
Dale used Lighning Storm on the Drake. It dealt 44, but with Magic and Weapon it dealt 73 damage. It dealt 32 in AoE. Drake is very dead.
Charlotte used Barrier Surge on Wyrm 1. It dealt 5 damage, but with Defence it dealt 6 damage. Oops.
Gaius used Quick Blitz on Wyrm 3. It dealt 3 damage, but with Strength and Speed it dealt 27 damage.
Therity used Blitz on Wyrm 1. She attacked 4 times dealing 3 damage (Total 12). With Strength and Weapon it dealt 35 damage. Wyrm 1 is very dead.

Wyrm 3 used Bite on Ra. It dealt 10 damage, but with Strength and Weapon it dealt 22 damage.
Wyrm 4 also used Bite on Ra. It dealt 4 damage, but with Strength and Weapon it dealt 20 damage.


For the record, I had to RnG your attacks because specifics. You have only yourselves to blame XD Also when Wyrms are dead, Boreal's second stage will be revealed.

Ander's pov:
RIL Garrett was beginning to think it might be better not to attack at all and was only attacking on the slim chance that he did something. With Garrett/Ander's luck I would not put it past me to do a total of 3 damage next round.
Ander used Thunder on Wyrm 4: because it looked like water and lighting does more damage to water. Who knew if this would work meh probably not but to late now because he already attacked.

 

Lucia had continued sitting there as Thomas had informed her that the other mission group that had come back had had a rough time. Nodding a bit she said, "yeah, sounds like some bad stuff happened there." After her comment, Thomas than proceeded to start making comment about how her appearance and how she had apparently always looked pretty and the magical girl outfit just seemed to accentuate it or something. Letting out a bit of a nervous laugh and scratching the back of her head she said, "no no, it's fine. I didn't take any offense at all. But, thanks. I uh, don't get that a lot." That being the truth, she didn't really know how to react to it, and so there was just a bit of air of awkwardness between the two. As he asked about her family, she started thinking on it and was about to respond when Johanna had shown up and commented on the two's being together at the moment.

At the notion that they had bonded over the course of the last mission, Lucia thought back to it a bit more. She said, "I don't think we actually talked to each other all that much during the mission. Huh." Shrugging she said, "but you were asking about my folks right? Well, my dad works with the law enforcement of the town, though, because there's never much going on there but still an overall good guy. And then there's my mom, who's a baker and runs a bakery that generally is one of those social gathering areas and she's just an overall wonderful person." Going to take a sip of her drink, she then looked back to Thomas and Johanna, and said, "so what about you guys? What're your parents like?"

After having nearly killed a maid, Rho looked to everyone else and said, "good job. Now, I don't think it'd be in proper taste to go and strike them down anymore then we have. So, shall we continue onward with our exploration?" Rho then had the thought of Aoki and Zephyr and how it was likely that there were more than just these maids. Ah well, they probably had things covered. Probably.

After Aoki had healed up Zephyr, she then turned her attention to the maid in front of her and decided that with both her's and Zephyr's combined effort she could go down fairly easily. Hopefully. And so, Aoki hopped the person, using blitz on that maid and hopefully being rid of these oh so wonderful looking maids.

After having slammed into one of the drakes, Charlotte then turned her attention to attacking one more of them. Readying her blade, she then decided to go in and strike at Wyrm 2 with blitz. Unless it died before she did...and then in which case she attack Wyrm 4...unless of course that died as well and that would only really leave Boreal to take the attack. Afterwards, she then went to body block for Ra.

 

Mikasa almost smiled at Caliborn, he had such a good way of handling things.

"I'll take you!" A voice shouted. It was Bobo again, the one who had taken the other group to the island. "Your friends came with me." The hooded man said. "I'm deeply sorry if my aid has caused them any trouble, but they would have stolen my boat anyway."

"Idiot." Mikasa muttered under her breath, getting into the small ship.

"Seeing into the past is sort of cheating when you're trying to get to know someone, don't you think?" Cassandra explained, she then listened to the rest Sara has to say. She looked at the bow. "It could be charmed, or you could just be rusty. The more missions you go on, the stronger you become. You should go to the training room and work with it. That way you'll be able to have an easier time of using it. A Hero is only as good as their weapon. "

Johanna, grinned at the newcomer. "Yes! About joining the Guild right? Well usually at the beginning of each term we have a screening process, but since you're not too far from it we're still able to allow you." Johanna explained. "What you have to do is go talk to Cassandra, she'll make you past a few tests using her Seer, or Fortune Telling Magic. If you have any questions about the Guild or anything in general, I'm the one in charge, ok?" Johanna smiled happily, moving a piece of her auburn hair out of her face.

 

Ra was beginning to develop a hatred for Ice dragons. However, their hatred for him still seemed to outstrip it. Both of the remaining drakes circled around the man, closing in on him. After a few moment, the both pounced, digging their teeth into him. It would've been a serious injury had it not been for Dale's armor. Ra pushed one of the drakes back with his staff, then swiped the weapon to the side, knocking the creature slightly off balance. Finally, Ra grabbed the throat of the beast and lit his magical energy ablaze. Fire traveled down his arm, onto his fingertips. With a burst of magic, Ra tightened his fist and shattered it's neck, effectively decapitating it. ​

He was really getting sent from person to person wasn't he? Oh well, Damian left the bar and approached the Fortune Teller "Hi, my name's Damian. I like to think of myself as a healer" he said "You're Cassandra right? Apparently I need to pass some tests". He saw someone else with Cassandra, a girl "Hi, what's your name? There are so many people here..."

Malkira stood triumphantly over the defeated maid, he was so awesome. The last maid was surrounded and surely the others would deal with them. With this in mind he moved towards the main hall where Vance and Conrad were, looking for any more enemies

 

Guild Hall:



Sara's pov:

If it is charmed can you fix it?" She looked at her bow once more. "At least look at it." She picked up her bow and handed it to Cassandra. Then some man came over and said his name was Damian. He was probably another idiot. After all the guild has been full of them recently. "I am no hero. A hero can save people. A hero is strong. I am weak. A hero can do anything. A hero knows what to do all the time I do not know what to do. What is the point of fighting when it only bring death? Why try when there is not point in it." For now she would have to give this Damian the benefit of a doubt and consider he was not a complete idiot. So far that was all she has came across Idiot after idiot. "Sara."

 

As the wyrms decided to attack Ra, Gaius tried his best to get them off of him. Leaping towards one of the wyrms, he lashed out with a barrage of flying fists, using his Blitz on his target and causing the wyrm to explode into chunks of ice, destroyed by a mere fist. Shitfists were go.

Gaius used Blitz on Wyrm 4


"You've got nothing to be sorry for. Thanks for helping, I'll go find her..I just hope she's alright" Caleb said as he stood up. He should talk to Thea, but he wasn't sure how good of an idea it was. From what he'd heard, the girl was fairly unstable and posed a threat. If he went to ask her, who knew what would happen? Then it occurred to him; Thea was from Ezekiel's guild. Damn he was slow. Leaving Silvia on her own, he made for the exit of the guild hall and headed out in search of Skadi.​

 

Aoki used Blitz. She attacked 4 times dealing 3 damage (Total 12). With Strength she did 21.

Maid 5 used Iron. It dealt 4 damage, but with Strength and Weapon she dealt... 18 damage. Aoki went down. Oops. Now would be a good time to help Zephyr! XD

Ren chuckled at Jack's questions about his past. “Nothing much to say, I'm afraid,” he grinned. “I'm from way off to the west, although it might be quicker to get her coming from the east. I lived in a city that was a bit, erm, oppressive. That's why I decided to leave, I felt like I needed a changed. And as I have already told you, I went wandering. As for my magic, nobody taught me it, I just kinda picked up along the way. So I'm far from a master,” he smiled self-deprecatingly.

Having dealt with the questioning in a pretty conclusive manner, he turned to a point that had piqued his interest. “Your master, Verrik Radagast, it sounds to me that he probably is dead, sad as it is, since everyone says so and you yourself haven't seen him since. But yet you don't seem to be entirely sure of that fact. What makes you think that he might still be around?”
