Jack's pov: he used cure on thea.

Calxiyn didn't notice at first. When she fell back down it must have fallen out of her pocket. "Uh, um, nothing." She hurried, running to pick it up but instead falling into Boreal.

 

Boreal casually caught the tripping Cal with one hand and pushed her up on to two feet. He picked up the mask and examined it. The mask was strange. It was black around the outline of it with a red side and a blue side on the right and left respectively. Two horns came out of the mask as well. He wasn't entirely sure what it was meant to be. Did it have some sentimental value to it or was there another thing it could do? If it did have something else, then why wouldn't she use it? She wanted to be a more powerful Wizard he knew that for sure, so why didn't she just use it? Frowning, he looked up at her, holding the mask. Why do you sound so false when you say that if it really is nothing? Unless... Let me think. He considered what he was holding at the moment. While it didn't seem like much, magical artifacts didn't have to. They could be anything. He thought about the possibilities of it, what it could have been within his research. Nothing of Zeref's creation, that was for sure. He wouldn't have made this. Not dramatic enough for his tastes. Or destructive. Thus he ruminated on it for a couple more moments. There was only one thing he could think of that he had seen into his studies. A mask of control and amplification. it was said that this mask allowed a certain degree of control over someone if it was placed on, and it would amplify their powers to some degree. The name he couldn't remember, but vaguely recognised the blue and the red and the spikes. How disappointing. This is it? I always thought it'd look more impressive than that. It seems that not all old magic wielders had a touch for the dramatic. If this is the same artifact, then I could use it to fight Deliora. If what I've learned in my studies of magic are to be believed of course.
"Cal, why do you have this? Where did you get it from?" Boreal asked. He was both concerned and curious. It fits my plans, but why does she have it? She's the wrong sort of person to have a thing like this. "And would you use it to fight Deliora? If you did, then you would be worthy of fighting by my side. You'd have power we'd need to defeat it, and bring it to justice. To avenge my father."





Dale listened as Ander spoke, not interrupting him. It seemed the man truly did have something in his past after all. He smiled wryly to himself. It seemed as if everyone was running away from something in their past, didn't it? Ander spoke of sacrifice and he began to consider their options. It was difficult to say what they should do. Obviously their entire plan banked on them stopping Deliora being awoken once more. But what they failed in that regard? What if Deliora got back up? They'd need a plan, if they were to save people. After so long imprisoned, could it be weaker? Could it have gathered strength in the time it was frozen? Worse, would it have made any difference? If it was weaker then they could fight it. If they couldn't then... Someone would need to act. He knew Iced Shell. His father had taught him it, for the use in the most dire of circumstances and trying of times. Deliora would be worth it. Like father like son. I'd give my life away to do it. It'd be a release. People would go on, Johanna would be sad, but she'd be proud of me for doing something so selfless, wouldn't she? And perhaps maybe, it'd be worth it. Someone in this room when they get more powerful, could do something like what I did, but more important. Am I a worthwhile sacrifice to allow another saviour to rise? Of course. That's what father would want me to do, right? That's what Johanna would want me to do, right? Evanora? Caliborn? Edric? Of course. Is there any other answer?

He began to lead everyone out of the cave and back into the temple. The hole they had fallen into was there still, but he spotted a small path around the edge and followed it to the nearest branch off hallway, skirting close to the edge and the risk of serious injury in the hunt for Boreal, and for Cal. Where are you two? You've got to be here... Somewhere.

 

Galuna Island​

She couldn't tell him now, that she didn't want to use the Mask at all. She shivered at the site of it. She could hardly remember it, but she could feel the power. To avenge his father. "I can use it. I promise I won't let you down Boreal." Calxiyn told him, avoiding telling him where it came from. All Cal had to do was get it back from him so she could put it on herself. She wasn't sure if that would work, but she wouldn't let him know her doubts.

Veilen silently followed behind Dale as he lead them out of the temple. He was pretty careful when they crossed over the hole that they fell down in. Falling back down would definitely not be helpful. Well it would still be more helpful then anything Cal has done, but still. At least all he would have to do is to go back through the tunnel to get back to this point. He'd probably get an earful for making the others wait. "So how are we going to deal with Cal? We may have to fight her to get to Boreal and stop him from trying to free Deloria." The question wasn't directed at anyone in particular so anyone who hopefully had a suggestion could chime in and say what they thought

 

Ra couldn't breath. The rage nearly choked him. He'd been betrayed before in the face of power, and now it was happening again. How many times must he go through this? He followed behind Dale, scowling beneath his mask. He spoke up when Veilan asked what they were going to do about Cal. "It's madness! Seeking to release this demon in some foolhardy attempt to preempt it's wrath! She has betrayed us for a man she barely knows. We will give her a chance to see reason. If she refuses, then we will strike her down along with Boreal to stop them. She will stand with Sapphire Eclipse, or fall beneath it. The choice is hers." Ra said bitterly. Perhaps he had misjudged her. She was shaping up to be the kind of person Ezekiel worked to get away from. If she would fight against them, there could be no place for her among them. He would strike her down, right beside the man she betrayed them for.

Conrad only listened as Vance began to tell everyone where they were, Vance's ice cold personality seemed to melt a little and while they agreed on the stealing being a bad idea, their motivations were still different. When Malkira spoke up he felt uneasy something about the statue ticked him off, it might just be the fact that it was not a statue but that it was talking. Aoki did have a point, it was suspicious and anyone who took the time to think would notice the girl. That is when Vance told them to split up, spread out the odds it was a good idea, higher chances of succes. With everything about to be set in motion Conrad had one last suggestion: "Seeing everyone knows their place and mainly seem to work in pairs, I'd say when the book is found I'd say link up with the infiltration team and have them ship it out that way when we are all checked for it none of us will have it."

 

"Oh please." Scarlett pulled back from the attack to respond to Thomas. "Flirting with every girl you see is not respect. It's called acting like a child." She was breathing a bit heavily and her long side bangs were flowing haphazardly from her battle-focused face. Even in battle, Scarlett was stunning. Her tone arms were flexed in a attack position and her long graceful legs were bent at the knee, preparing to lunge forward. She loved every second of battle. Scarlett loved the thrill, the excitement, the rush of power she felt when engaged in combat like this. But yet, there was still the nagging thought of Thomas's attempt at being nice to her that stuck in the back of her mind. Forget it Scarlett, you need to focus on the battle, not on some childish attempt at respect. Fueled by this new-found anger, Scarlett launched another fierce attack on the monster.

After having let loose her knives once more, Lucia looked at the ice giant. It didn't seem to be letting up any time soon and so Lucia wouldn't be giving it any sort of breathing room to work with. That being said, this thing hurt. It was like if a truck had a fist and decided to punch you with it. If this continued on any longer than it was going, there was a good chance that the cave collapsing in would the least of their worries. Going in, Lucia let loose another blitz attack at this giant hulking ice giant.

They had made it through the temple alive and well. People had managed to avoid falling into the giant hole they had fallen in before, which was a God sent mercy assuming there was one in this world. Dale burned with anticipation inside, determined to hunt down Boreal on his insane quest and put an end to it. He showed no sign of his internal anxiety about facing his half-brother. He knew full well what Boreal was capable of before, but it had been many years since and he could feel that over the years he had only gotten better at his craft. Dynamic Ice-Make... It was potent to be sure. The way it writhed and moved and seemingly thought, as if alive. It was scary in a way, because he didn't know what was possible and what wasn't. Was there a limit? What had Boreal discovered was possible? Dale considered his own magic. How can I fight Boreal's magic with my own? There has to be a way. There has to be something I can do to counter what he does... The most I can do I think is protect the other guild members here from Boreal's magic, powerful as it is. If I give them an ice shield then it should help a little, and perhaps I can throw up a few barriers to block the magic that he uses. It'll be the best chance we have to win this battle against him. Brother... You may have your magic but we have numbers. And you're against me. I've got more powerful since we last met Boreal. It's time that I showed you just how powerful.

With these thoughts in mind, Dale led them through the temple, following the path that he figured would be the way through to Boreal- Namely where he had come from when he faced them. As they walked through the eerie stone corridors, they encountered a flight of stairs. Certain that this was right, Dale climbed them with a lithe grace and speed, racing towards the top of the staircase. Out the top, he could see the night sky above, lit by the radiant purple of the moon. Dale in front, the guild members emerged into the cool night air at the top of the temple. The view here was spectacular, with a commanding view of the village, the jungle, the moon and the ocean around- More importantly however, upon the top of the temple stood Calxiyn and Boreal.
"Cal, step away from him!" Dale shouted, approaching.

At Dale's shout, Boreal looked around. Dale. And his friends. They're here already. I didn't calculate for this. I thought we had more time. What to do... What to do... He remembered the mask in his hand. That's my solution here. Let us see how willing they are to fight their own friend... Yes. That works nicely. Boreal smiled at Dale sadistically, glaring at his brother.
"Sorry Dale, but you're a little too late for that." Boreal looked at Cal and placed the mask on her head and stepped away, allowing it to do its maleficent work. He turned to the group members and addressed them all. "Simply put, Sapphire Eclipse, brother, Calxiyn doesn't wish to step away from me right now. In fact, she and I have an agreement. She has different allies now. She is mine. Now leave me in peace to my work here. I'd ask if you want to join me in my quest but you're all his mindless thralls. So simply put now, leave me in peace or suffer. I'll be sure to return Cal after my business here is done, but you will not interfere with my work here! It is far, far too important to me to be stopped now!" Boreal declared. Ice could be seen wrapping around his arms and legs, across his entire body wrapping it in frozen armour. The icy armour grew around him, and Boreal smiled. He was ready. Half-Brother, I suggest you leave, but if you don't I won't complain. It's time to prove I'm the better one after all at long last!

Alessia's blade sliced through the rock creature with a satisfying shink and a shower of sparks as the metal ground against the tough rock. She landed perfectly on both feet, flowing easily into a roll and stood up, sheathing her sword. She looked around as everyone else finished it and as it with a final roar of defiance against its face, it collapsed, dead. That was quick. That was very, very quick.
"Nice work everyone." She congratulated, the adrenaline still coursing through her and the will to fight pumping through her veins. She turned away and returned to the Major and the Captain to see the progress being made on the boat.



"Let the plan begin." Vance declared. He ordered everyone into the carriage and they complied luckily for plot reasons. To make a long story short, with the others inside, the carriage rolled up to the Everlue gates and Vance stepped out.
"Vance Dorian and his companion Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II request an audience with Duke Everlue to conduct business!"

 

Galuna Island​

Calxiyn screamed as Boreal put the mask on her. No, it wasn't supposed to be this way. I was supposed to be in control. She turned around as she screamed in agony, and on the back of her head, demon like claws held a place around head. She wore her Keyblade armor the once pink, white, gold and sliver, now black. She had two Keyblades in hand. Her once Kingdom Key was now a silvery black, and the second.. was dripping of dark.

"Surrender to Boreal, or pay the price of death!"

"The boat is finished! Nice work everyone!"

"Yes good fighting, very good. "


The group piled into the boat, and it didn't take long for them to see an island.

It was a beautiful island, filled with trees and flowers.
It was lush and green, filled with flowers. The tree in the middle of the Island was gotten to by using a pink stone road. Trees were planted along it, all different colors. At the end was a palace. It was giant, but almost looked... flat?


“Who’s first?” Clara asked. I'm in no dressing to see a princess. She looked down at her dressing gown

Ander's pov:
Dale was rather quite. He was hoping he would have said something to him. He just walked without saying anything. What was he thinking? Something to do with what he said. Do not do something stupid Dale he thought. Well since Dale was not talking he decided that he would talk to Gaius. He was going to have to talk to Gaius sooner or later. He went back to the back of the group were Gaius was walking to talk to Gaius. "Gaius, Dale is going to use ice shell on Deliora." He was rather sure if it came down to it Dale would use that spell. "Gaius it is important that Dale does not use that spell under any circumstance. He must be stopped. I am not going to let him use that spell because of my mistake." Speaking in a whisper so that only Gaius could hear. "Do what ever you have to do to stop him. We have to." He walked away from Gaius so as not to arise anything. He would stop Dale even if that meant fighting him. He could not hurt Dale so the next best thing was to talk to Gaius about it. We walked though the temple kind of watching were he was going. While he walked he thought about what to do about Dale. He was not entirely sure what to do. Hopefully Gaius would think of something. The question was asked what to do about Cal and what to do if they had to fight them. "Cal is a special kind of snowflake. We if do run it to Cal then we try and talk to her to see reason. If that does not work we will fight. As much as I rather not fight her, even if it comes to that we will have to fight her no madder what. To protect the guild and each other. If Cal does not see reason she will not be welcome back to the guild. As far as I can see it she already made her choice. She is not getting a third chance to mess things up." He believed in second chances, but a third chance was not going to happen. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. He would not let Cal get way for this. They walk out to see Cal and Boreal. It was time for this to end. "Now is your chance for this to end. Destroy the mask and choice now. You Can help protect the ice shell from melting or you can fight." He did not say that he would tell Dale to get Deliora moved and hopefully no one would find it that time. If it came down to it he would use his power to fight them.

 

"Yes! Please come right in My Lords." The maid's husky voice answered over a loud speaker. The Maid came outside. "The Master is in the dining room. Please walk with me this way."

Zéphyrine walked behind Virgo in the front, but then realized that may not be proper for a servant girl. Zéphyrine hated the fact that Zéphyrine was always either a dirty slave or a thief, and now a servant. Zéphyrine stood at Vance's side.

Calxiyn tilled her head at Ander, as if she was confused, but then she started to laugh, her voice cold, callous and booming.

Would love to kick open the doors with Mizuki (NOT Mukuzi, Mikuzi, Mikizu, or, for the love of god, fucking Muzki), but I probably won't be around to post all that much so... I'll have to let someone else do it.

As they had gotten to the area where both Boreal and Cal were, something strange had happened. Rather than just trying to talk Cal down here, Boreal had instead put a mask on her face that made things seem to change. Charlotte...really didn't know Cal at all prior to this mission, and the fact of the matter was, that she didn't really spend all that much time with her during this mission anyway. Regardless, from the short moments she'd spent with her and even based on the short time she heard her counter rant Dale, there was something completely different about her now. Not just that the appearance was a dead give away, but the general air she felt around her was completely different as well. While Ander had seemed to talk her down, that had seemed completely ineffectual in this current scenario. Which would mean that their only option at this point was to fight both her and Boreal. Drawing her sword, Charlotte gave a glare to Boreal as icy as that which his magic was specialized in. "I do not know what you have done to her, nor do I feel like hearing any words from your delusional mouth to explain it." She then turned to Cal, "however, as our guild member, you have a lot to explain and will do so once we bring you back from this abominable ruined temple. And if you are not willing to come peacefully, than that leaves only one other option." She then pointed her blade at Cal and said, "so then, I will give you no quarter in this fight as I would feel you would me none. So let us begin."
