"Interesting. maybe you'd have liked it there. It's... Different to say the least. More magical. I prefer it there to here, no offence." Alessia replied, trying to hide the little embarrassment she felt about being called beautiful by the little creatures dancing around and reanimating the world behind a little bit of humour. She didn't want the Nutcracker to find out what she was feeling like at the moment. He seemed polite but she didn't know him that well to begin with. Things took a depressing turn when he mentioned that the Mouse King wanted only destruction. It was confusing for her. Why would anyone want to just destroy? It seems like such a waste of this great world we have. Wouldn't creating be better than destroying? Wouldn't it be better to just live and exist rather than seek the destruction of everything else? Surely everyone can live together in relative peace? Surely they can? I wonder how come an army of rats and a King appeared and started being able to talk, wield weapons and apparently create an industry and society like ours. It seems fairly unlikely that- Did he just hit on me? She looked at the Nutcracker in surprise. He seemed to have a smile on his face and at that moment, all she could see was that annoyingly cocky smile of Thomas. And then it clicked who the Nutcracker was. Eric, a Prince said I'm... Beautiful? Not in those words but... She blushed and turned away, watching some of the fairies in the other direction from Eric. She didn't want to look at him with her face burning up like this.
"Um, thank you. I- I'm glad. It's nice that someone thinks so." She blustered, not entirely sure how to react to Prince Eric's comment. There really was a person inside that wooden shell.

 

Scarlett followed the others silently as they proceeded to follow the map. Once they had arrived close to the top, she noticed the huge tower of ice and was about to hop onto her Pegasus when suddenly, who else but Thomas approached her. Are you kidding me? I thought I made it clear that I was done dealing with his crap. She sighed as she waited for him to explain himself.

He pulled out a jewel and began to talk, so Scarlett remained silent until he was done. "Wait a minute, you actually stole that from the shop?" The kid had guts, not just for stealing it but for even approaching her again in the first place after that nicely placed kick.It wasn't exactly a sassy or mean tone, it may have even sounded surprised a little bit. Scarlett quickly refocused herself though and resumed her usual annoyed facial expression and sarcastic tone. "Unfortunately for you, I'm not some poor girl you can buy off with jewels and a poorly said apology." Scarlett did a quick look over her shoulder to make sure all the others had flown out of reach before she continued. "A bit of advice for next time. Don't be a cocky ***** and maybe you won't get a knee to the crotch. And I'm not your lady." She sighed, combing a hand through her ponytail as she turned to.... Her Pegasus. Which was gone. It had flown up with the others, leaving Scarlett with Thomas and his Pegasus. She cursed under her breath and turned slowly towards Thomas, who was already on his Pegasus. Ugh.

Malkira held back his pride "Very well, I shall pose as your bodyguard. On one condition, I get to kill anyone who seems threatening" Malkira leaned down threateningly "That is what bodyguards do. Of course, it shall hopefully not come to that" Malkira lied, he really hoped it would come to that. He didn't like Vance, the man seemed to think he was instantaneously the leader just because of who his parents were, just because of noble blood. Malkira had no noble blood, he did not even have a last name, but he was still well known in history all across the East as Malkira the Marauder. That was true power, the ability to come up to prominence from nothing. Vance... Vance had everything handed to him on a silver platter, Malkira took it with an iron knife.

The Skeleton turned to ash, as the bones were brittle. All that was left was the rope he had with him, sitting beside the ashes.

Amanda's pov: So she climbed on her pegasus. To find this they had to be hopeful. She began to think of hopeful things. The group will find this jewel. I will find it. The group can be nice. There will be a good ending to this mission. The town will be unfrozen and everyone will be happy. That was a lot of hope in one thought. "We will help everyone"...

 

As Aoki was soundly turned down by the man and walked back to the rest of the group, she walked past them so that she could get changed out of the ridiculous maid outfit, and then she rejoined them. There was now a burning passion in Aoki to see through this mission and kick that Everlue's ass- er, get the book. Yes, right, the book. However, were the mansion to just happen to burn down while they were looking for this book and good old Everlue just happened to be in there when it happened then...well it would be a truly tragic day for everyone. As she continued to think about tactical plans of vengeance and the like, it had appeared that Vance had come up with a plan that required posing as noblemen and their servants and the like. Aoki nodded and said, "alright then, sounds like a good idea. Granted, we'd probably have to set up an elaborate disguise for me, since having a blue haired girl with something covering her face after a maid candidate just got turned down would seem pretty suspicious." Aoki thought on this a bit more and said, "in fact, we could probably split up and I could just go with Zephyr's suggestion to go sneak in while a good majority of the attention is focused on these unannounced noblemen coming for a visit." After bringing up her idea she then looked to Zephyros and said, "Also...why are you still a girl if the maid plan failed?" In all honesty it was a tad bit creepy.

Meanwhile, Rho just sort of silently agreed and nodded to the plan that Vance had come up with and waited for the plan to be set in motion.

Having gotten Thomas back up off the ground, she was a bit annoyed by his sullen attitude that persisted until they had come to the shopkeeper who was also a thief or robber or something illegal. Didn't really matter, however, Lucia just sort of watched and listened as the people tried to barter with the shopkeeper. She wasn't the best at it, so it was a good thing that Amanda and Hasu were on the ball with hitting every button that they need to and now they just had to go find that gem of ice lit by...the morning sun? Well, stranger things had happened...right? Regardless, on their way out, Lucia noticed that Thomas had been trying to woo Scarlett over with a gem that he pulled from somewhere, and then took a mental note that Thomas was an exceptionally bad liar. Regardless, she looked to the rest of the group and said, "we should probably be really careful when we get to the chest. If a man turned into ashes because of it we don't what kind of curse this thing might have associated with it."

After all the points about whether or not the temple was safe to enter, it was still their only bet to find both Calxiyn and the source of the curse, and so they ventured onward. After traveling for a good deal of time through the corridors, they had come into a large empty room, which Dale then went to point out all the reasons that people were most likely inhabiting this temple. That just meant that they were all the closer to finding at least one of their goals in this temple. It was then that a man who bore a striking resemblance to Dale had come into the scene and the two not having so much an exchange as the one attacking the other had occurred. Next thing she knew, the entire party had fallen down into a large cavernous like area.

After dusting herself off from the hard landing, Charlotte brought herself up and looked at the monster before her. There was something entirely unsettling about it and something terribly evil as well. It was then that she turned around and had noticed Cal was there as well. Well, that was awfully convenient. As Dale had freed her, she went on to tell them about the demon Deliora and how it had presumably killed the blond haired man above, Boreal, Dale's father and the entire village he grew up in. She nodded to Veilen's suggestion and said, "aye, we should do everything we can to prevent whatever Boreal plans with this demon. Though, first and foremost, it'd be best to find a way out of this cavern."

The fact that this particular tree could talk was somewhat surprising, but that didn't deter Mizuki in her plan to mercilessly cut it down. Sure, there were plenty of more trees around, and most of those probably didn't talk, but why should any of them deserve to die any more than this one? No, that didn't matter to the cold-hearted assassin as she drew her sword and stepped towards the tree.
It did occur to her that a sword was not a good tool in this situation. The wood would ruin the blade, and if she wasn't careful perhaps even break it. That is, if this world followed any sort of realism, which of course it didn't, so this whole train of thought is rather superfluous now that I think about it, but I've already written it this far already so whatev~
Mizuki stopped in front of the tree, gripped the sword tightly in both her hands, and swung it fast and hard into the tree. It cut through the bark, catching in the wood, and she took a moment to tug it out. Then she readied for a second swing.

Ren prepared to mount his pegasus, gazing up at where the sun was hitting the ice. He couldn't help but be somewhat sceptical that retrieving the Gem of Ice would be as simple as going up there and looking around for it, but the map said it was there, so... it might be there? There was also the small matter of the chest containing the gem turning people into ashes, but they could deal with that problem when they came to it.

Right here an now though, Ren was getting a little irritated by Thomas and Scarlett's squabbling. Thomas was a fool, but at the very least a harmless one. If he could just learn to stay away from Scarlett, and perhaps keep his mouth shut a little more often, he might improve.
Scarlett on the other hand was a *****. She was just a vile, nasty little girl with a big mouth. Now, if she had just been this way with Thomas, Ren could have understood it. The guy really could get on your nerves. However, Ren remembered how Scarlett had quizzed Johanna mercilessly about her relationship with Dale earlier. He also vaguely remembered prior incidents back at the guild.
However, as long as neither of them kept the team back and continued to tag along, Ren felt that he could bear with them enough to tolerate them. He couldn't resist giving them some admonishment though.
“Hey, you two,” he called out to them. “Could you maybe leave acting like an old married couple till we've got this Gem and, oh I don't know, saved the kingdom from perpetual petrification? Thanks.”

Clara walked around with Sara, and it was then she noticed out in the Ocean, on a rock were huge pieces of cloth. "I'm sorry to say that I can't swim." She told Sara. "But there's what we need, can you get it?"

They landed atop the block of ice, to see one giant ice tablet. ​

“Wow, look!” She pointed, rubbing off the snow. It reveled ancient letters “What do you guys think it says?” She asked.

Aidan looked at it. “Beware, take only what you need, but never from greed.” He said.

Suddenly, a bunch of stairs came out of the snow, and there was now a spiral case down into the abyss. “Where did you learn how to read that?” Annika asked.

“You pick up a lot of things when you're in the forbidden forest.” Aidan shrugged. They walked down the stairs, and on a platform of ice, there was a giant, solid snow monster.

"Annika, stay back!" Aidan yelled, taking out his sword.

As the gang had continued to find the stone of ice, they eventually found a giant staircase that lead them, probably to where they were supposed to go. As they continued to walk forward, they eventually got to an area with a giant evil snowman. Well, that was completely unexpected. However, it seemed that there was a fight upon them, and Lucia hadn't been in a fight in lord knows how long. Presumably two days because that's how much time passed during their journey, she guessed. Taking out her knives, Lucia got ready to charge forward, going faster than everyone else here and struck at the giant with a blitz attack.

Ander's pov:
He stood on the edge of the temple entrance. When Dale went in despite saying the temple was unstable. Then they had a fight and the floor fell in. He was not surprised in the slightest, when the group fell into the hole. He stood on the edge of the temple entrance, glad that he did not go in to it like the rest of the group. He told them it would fall in, but did they listen, no, because he did not know what he was talking about. This left a option to follow this unknown person or to jump down the hole. He was not dumb enough to follow this unknown person by himself so he light a fire to get a better look a how far down the hole went. He was just about able to make out the bottom. He looked at Ra who may not or may have been there. He then took a running jump and jumped down the hole. At the last few moment of his fall he cast aero to slow his decent. He landed on his feet. It just showed how resourceful he could be. He reached the bottom and looked around. He saw Cal chained up. He shook his head in disappointment. She could have escaped at any moment. All one would have to do was use fire. He looked at Deliora. He knew who it was the moment he saw it. The pieces of this mission came together. It all involved ice magic. Dale freed Cal, if you do something she will not learn. He had some questions to ask both Cal and Dale. He continued to look around. They continued to talk about Deliora. "Deliora was created by a dark wizard by the name of Zeref. Deliora roamed around the continent destroying different cities and towns. The last that was heard of Deliora was that he was on a continent to the north." When Ander spook he seemed to be referencing from a book. "By the look of it Deliora was moved from the north to this island." Did Dale know it was moved? He did not seem to know so he did not bother asking. Boreal and Dale were some how related. It was not his place to ask about such things. By the look of things they wanted to free Deliora. "Ice shell is meant to be unmeltiable. Unless you know of a way that it can be melted." He looked At Dale. "If Deliora is freed it will cause more damage then it did years ago." Then he turned to Cal. "What happened to you?" He knew the answer she had been dumb and went off by herself. The details should be interesting.

She had to say she did not know how to swim. She never learned. She found a near by large piece of wood and threw in in the water. "come with me" There was no way she would go over there by herself.

"I-I didn't realize that thing was behind me the whole time." Calxiyn looked behind her, her eyes going wide. "What happened to me? Well I was flying high up into the air, and then I woke up in this cave. And then I was taking to Boreal. He's a henchman for uh, the people causing whatever's going on on the mountain. The leader put me in ice chains, but Boreal said he couldn't untie me because he didn't have ice magic. We talked for a really long time. He's really nice. I don't think he really wants to be part of whatever is this. He went somewhere not too long ago..."

She got on the log with Clara and realized that she did not have anything to row with. So she took her bow and used that because why not? She continued to row to the rock. She been thinking about Eric. "Clara, Eric needs to tell people, what he is up to. People are not going to trust him if he keeps his secret. Trust me on this. You should try to convince him." He may be trying to protect the people, but they have a right to know. "Before you ask, I figured it out long ago." What was Eric up to? "How long do you think it will take Captain candy and major mint to figure it out, because the way he talks about it wont take much longer." The large piece of wood hit the rock with the cloth. "If people find out they will not be happy that this was kept from them."

Clara looked at her. "I don't know what you're talking about. The Nutcracker is simply, Nutcracker. The Mouse King destroyed Prince Eric, remember? He told Captain Candy himself." They got to shore. "Let's go back."

After getting on his pegasus, the group flew to a mountain top. After Aidan had read the ice writing before them, they ventured into the cave where they were greeted by a giant snow golem. Well, this was going to be an interesting fight to say the least. He made a quick swipe motion with his hand, doing so casted aero towards the giant snow creature.

"So, anyone have any suggestions?" Veilen asked. There wasn't much that he could do in this instant given how high up the whole that they fell from was. Since Dale was a Ice make wizard he could possibly make a platform for them climb back up. Another idea was to throw him up there. It was odd that he was considering that as a suggestion, but the real issue with that what would be assuming he reach the hole and climbed out, what would he do then? Again, not much that he could do in this situation.

He decided to try his luck with the ice make platform plan and turned to Dale. "Hey, do you think you can make a platform and lift us out of here?"

Aoki had returned from her failed attempt at getting into the manor with a displeased look on her face. Zephyr simply assumed it had something to do with her womanly pride being hurt and left it at that. He didn't want any wrath meant for someone else to be brought upon him. Malkira had spoke up and agreed to Vance's plan and before Zephyr could speak up, Aoki suggested that they use both his and Vance's plan.

Zephyr was more for that not because he would actually get to use his idea, but he wouldn't have to worry about posing as a servant. If anything thing that was something that he'd prefer to avoid if he could. "If we send like 1 - 3 people to sneak in, then while you guys are trying to go in through the front door using your status, then could find the book without attracting to much attention."

 

Scarlett scowled at the sight of Thomas on the last Pegasus. She didn't want to get left behind, especially when this was such a big part of the mission. She sighed and rolled her eyes, not bothering to acknowledge his ramblings. "Move over." Scarlett climbed on the Pegasus, careful not to touch Thomas in any way shape or form. Once she had properly positioned herself, she realized a slight problem. The Pegasus didn't exactly come with assembled handles. You've got to be kidding me. There is no way in hell I am putting my arms around him. "Don't even think about pulling anything." She remarked to him with a serious tone.

The tree's supplications were completely ignored by Mizuki, and that idiot Jack was back to irritate her with his presence. “Be quiet, fool,” she told him offhandedly, not even pausing to look at him. She took a few steps back from the tree, readied her sword, and then dashed towards it suddenly. Using all her speed and strength she ferociously swung into the tree, passing through the trunk in one swing (this would never happen but at this point I'm cutting down a tree with a sword anyway so- ). The tree crashed to the ground, and Mizuki paused to observe her handywork. A few more swipes with her sword, and five planks had been made, although since nobody had actually told her what size they were supposed to be, either these would be completely useless, or way too much.

Regardless, she hoisted them up onto her shoulder, and marched back to the ship, not bothering to wait for Silvia and the insufferable Jack.
