"Could be." Annika replied to Amanda. She followed Thomas as he walked inside of the shop.

“How can I help such fine young man... ohhh and ladies?” An old man behind the counter said, his voice Wiesel and crackyly.

“Drop the act Ferris, we’re here on business.” Aidan walked in, crossing his arms. Ferris narrowed his eyes at Aidan.

“Why... Aidan, it’s been years my friend.” He said, somewhat nervously and surpised.

“I didn’t know we were friends.” Aidan scoffed.

“Are you still harboring a grudge?” Ferris teased.

“Are you still selling things that aren’t yours?” Ferris laughed nervously again, as if he were joking with an old friend.

“So what are you looking for today? I heard this fine voice man ask about a Jewel. Do I hear wedding bells in the future, young man? What kind of jewel do you have in mind? ”

The Nutcracker was surprised at Alessia, but knew she was right. He was ashamed. "Please, don't say anything to the others." He stood up, walking off again and out of site.

“I wish he wasn't so... so... depressed?” Clara sighed to Alessia. "I think you're right. He does want to be the man his father would have wanted."

"You kids all seem to have a good head on your shoulders. It's going to be a pleasure fighting with you."

Captain Candy saw Thea was getting as little tease, and decided that they should call it a night. "Alright everyone, time to rest up for the morning! Get some rest." He smiled at Thea.

Galuna Island​

"Dale!" Calxiyn shouted excited. "Ow.." She whined as a piece of rock fell on her head. "You found me, finally. Dale can you untie me? I can't get out of this, only someone with Ice Magic can despell it, at least, that's what the-" She cut herself off when she heard Velien. "What is what? I can't see."

Everlue Mansion ​

"We need to find another way in. Is anyone good at climbing?" Zéphyrine's asked, pointing to part of the mansion that looked easily climbable, at least by her.

"Aha! Here we are!" Major Mint and the group came across a large ocean in their travels, the Sea of Storms. "Now then, we need some things for our expedition!"

"Look for:
5 Planks.
2 Rope
2 Cloth
2 Tree Sap
Fresh Water." Captain Candy told them. "Everyone split into teams, and then go looking! We'll stay here and start with what we got."

"I know where the water is, does anyone want to come with me?" The Nutcracker asked.

"Would anyone like to be my escort?" Clara asked politely.

Sara's pov:
Her face went from the look of sadness and depression, to the look of surprise on her face when Thea said that she had some cool magic. What was she talking about? The only had one magic which was healing people. She did not see how that was cool. Thea seemed to be talking, that said knew more then one magic, this confused her even more. She did know how to use a bow, but not anymore. The bow was useless at the current stats. Her bow still had a curse on it. That reminded her that she was going to ask Captain candy if he could fix it. Then Thea said that she was real going at fighting. What? Since when? This was a lie, she was the most useless and unhelpful person hear when it came to fighting. "Why are you telling him this?" She asked Thea. What? "If you want someone to fight you are better off sending anyone, but me." At this moment she was confused. Was Thea confused, or was she mixing her up with someone? No this was not possible. She was the only one on this mission with a bow. The major mint said that it would be a pleasure fight with the group of them. The only pleasure he would have fighting would be if she was not there. She was told to get some rest. She never really went to bed. She just stood by a window looking out from the tree house. She did not remember the last time she got some sleep or rest of that madder. She could not sleep anyways. She just stood there looking and thing about what Thea and Major mint had said. Why was she looked to when it came to fighting? Why her? Could no one see that anyone here was better then her at fighting? Almost everyone in this group saw her in a positive light. This was a odd thing to her. Day came hours ladder and she did not get any sleep. She just stood there thing all night. They reached the Sea of Storms. Then was asked to split up. She looked at the group who should she go with? She decide to go with some one new. The nutcracker or Clara she would go with. not caring which one. She did not really care who she went with as long as it was not with Jack or Mikuzi. So she stood between Eric and Clara and would go with whoever would take her. "I will go with, Clara or Er, the nutcracker." She said it like it really did not madder.

 

Drosselmayer's Mansion

Jack's pov: Silvia didn't seem ok. After it was morning he found her again. "Do you want me to leave you alone?" It seemed no one wanted him around. They hated him for things that were not his fult. He seemed sad when he asked her. He thought of saying something else but decided against it.

Astedia

Amanda's pov: Way to go Thomas if he knows we need it and has it, it will be expensive. If he didn't he might want money for information. Why couldn't they just see what he had. Well sence Thomas runed her plan she desided she didn't really need to say anything.

 

Astedia: Forbidden Forest​

"Ohhh I see... you mean a Gem of Ice, lit by Hope's Eternal Flame." Ferris asked.

"Yes! Do you know where to find it?" Annika asked eagerly.

“I may have heard of it…” He teased

“And?” Aidan said.

“I may not.”

“Which is it?” Annika demanded.

“Perhaps a trade might refresh my memory, let’s say… a sword.” He looked at Aidan, his hand reaching from behind the window. Aidan started to take the sword out of his belt.

Annkia put her hand on the handle. “It’s not for sale.”

“Does anyone else have anything then?” Ferris asked.

Amanda's pov: "Thomas and Annika don't know what there talking about we were looking for something else. I think the weather is going to there heads. Unless you think this gem of ice is important. If you think is important maybe you know were it is. I don't think it is important at all. But maybe you could convince me." She finshed shyly. Maybe her lie and trick would work.

 

Astedia: Forbidden Forest​

"It's so important, little girl, I don't even have it in my shop. But I do know where you can find it. And believe me, no one else will." Ferris explained. "But if you want to know, you'll have to pay. Tick tock tick tock."

This man, Ferris, he was greedy. That much would be obvious to anyone who met him, but Ferris also possessed a deep cunning. Ren could tell that he was sharp and quick witted, an impression that was reinforced by the fact that the man had been able to run such a dubious business like this without ending up dead.
However, Ren was willing to bet on Ferris' greed outweighing his caution and reasoning. If it didn't, then he would never have gotten into this business in the first place.

Ren leaned on the counter near to the merchant, smiling. “Well, Ferris, I'm afraid there's not much we can offer you right now,” he admitted in an honest tone. “But perhaps we can repay you at a later date, hmm?”
Ren leaned in towards the man, now speaking in a hushed tone to emphasize that what he was going to say was important. “Perhaps I should tell you why we want the Gem of Ice. You see that staff there?” he pointed to the staff Thomas was holding. “That staff is the other part to the Wand of Light. We need it for a small job we're on right now, I'm sure you have some idea of what that is, but after we're done with that... well, it would probably be best if we handed it over to someone else.”

He left it at that, leaving things for Ferris to mull over. It was a very good deal for the man, all things considered. Not only would he have the Gem of Ice in his hands, which right now was frustratingly out of his reach despite him knowing where it was, it would actually be made even more valuable as part of the Wand of Light. Now would he take that risk?

 

Alessia followed the Nutcracker as soon as they were moving out. He seemed to be nervous about what she had told him. I was right wasn't I, Eric? You're just not ready to admit it yet. She remembered what Clara had said. He did seem depressed, perhaps ashamed of himself. In a way, that was good wasn't it? If he was ashamed then surely he would want to make up for what he had done and he'd be the Prince that everyone needed him to be. She'd help him with that while they were on this mission. To do it, Eric was going to need support- Support that he wasn't going to get from his people so it had to be from them. I won't say anything yet Eric, but you'd better make good on that title you're meant to have. She followed closely behind, making sure that he knew she was there behind him. She would try and inspire him onwards if he faltered himself. She hated a quitter. Especially ones who needed to continue for other people's good and not just their own. As she watched the prince in front of her, she couldn't help but wonder- How did he turn to wood in the first place? There didn't seem to be anyone around yet, so she caught up and whispered to him so nobody else would hear.
"So, how did you wind up as a Nutcracker exactly? It seems like something that's pretty hard to do on your own."




"Well excellent, I knew there was something wrong with Duke Everlue. I never liked him anyway he was always, always strange at parties. He'd go for the homeliest women he could fine, even if they were married. Honestly, he was a shame to us all. No wonder he didn't invite anyone to his mansion for parties. He'd be a laughing stock if anyone knew!" Vance laughed, as he watched Aoki being quickly turned down by the strange aristocrat. His laughter over, he considered what people had said and cleared his throat. He may actually be able to get them in, after a fashion. They could try and sneak in, or they could let Vance talk his way in. A nobleman such as he would naturally have business with another. He'd likely be able to get the others in too if they were willing to pose as his attendants. In fact, perhaps Conrad might be able to help. As much as he hated to admit it the man was well-known enough. He might have been new money from industry but people took notice of a rising man.
"I have another idea. Myself and Conrad hold some Noble status. My family is an old one and while Conrad's is younger, our names will carry weight. If we were to say, approach this Duke Everlue with you posing as our attendants then we may well be able to gain entry." Vance suggested. "And it would mitigate the problem of our numbers. After all, everyone knows that noblemen need their attendants, do they not?"



Of all the things... What has Boreal done? Deliora is here? That thing was defeated North of here, not on this island. I would know. Father told me. I went out to find him, but all I saw was this demon and my father and Boreal nowhere in sight. He told me that he was going with him. I thought Boreal had died. So how did he live? Did he just, walk away? I don't understand... Shook out of his reverie by the piercing tones of Calxiyn's whining, Dale struggled to his feet and looked at Cal and Veilen. He began to walk over to her and conjured an Ice-Make Blade in his right hand.
"That, everyone, is a monstrosity. A demon. I don't know where he came from exactly, only that an old dark wizard summoned it. His name escapes me for the moment. Deliora, that demon, was responsible for terrible acts of destruction in the North. I know it only too well. It killed my father, and I thought it killed Boreal too." Dale explained, releasing Cal from the icy chains with two strikes of the razor sharp frozen blade in his hand. He turned to address everyone properly as he spoke "He didn't tell me what he was doing, but when I asked Edric at the guild he told me what my father planned. I went after him to try and help, even stop him. I made it, but I found the city in ruins, Deliora encased in ice and neither my father or Boreal anywhere to be seen. I recognised my Dad's work. He used the spell, Iced Shell to defeat it. He told me never to use it unless it was a serious threat. Something capable of killing hundreds or thousands. That's what that is. It shouldn't be here. What Boreal wants with it is beyond me, but whatever it is, we have to stop him. We can't let him undo what father gave his life to do. We can't let Deliora walk this world again." Dale clenched his fist, looking up at the gargantuan creature in front of him.

 

Astedia: Forbidden Forest​

"Ohhh I see... I see..." Ferris understood. How amazing would it be to have a staff like that in his hands?

“A couple of years ago there was a strange man who walked in here, boosting about a rare diamond, blue as ice, which he buried in a treasure chest. With Magic he marked it with red flame.” Ferris said.

“Blue ice, flame!”

“Bullshit. You wouldn’t pass up a gem like that Ferris.” Aidan said, squaring up to the old man. “Why didn’t you dig it up?”


He stroked his beard. “The next day, the man was turned to ashes.” He looked scared suddenly, pulling out a map. “He left this, here, take it! I don’t want anything to do with it!”

 

While no one had responded to his suggestion to sneak in around back, Zephyrine asked if anyone was good at climbing pointing towards a wall. Well if they were going to use that wall as a way to sneak in, then all would work out. Zephyr was pretty good at climbing, though it was mainly tress that he climbed. surely it couldn't be too hard for him to transfer that skill to this building. Though before they could agree upon sneaking in, Vance had had an idea of his own.

Not surprisingly, using their rank would not be a idea that Zephyr would've come up with. That aside, there was one thing that he did have to say about his plan. "I'm not 100% certain that your plan will work, seeing as Everlue probably has nothing but his "beautiful" maid on his mind. But I've been wrong before." He's been wrong several times in fact, but they don't need to know that little detail.

Turns out Cal was down here the whole time. It sure was a good thing that the rubble didn't crush her when they fell down. Veilen was pretty quiet as Dale explained who Deloria was. Something like that definitely wasn't a good thing to leave walking around. But it was frozen and it didn't look like it was going anywhere anytime soon. Unless Boreal planned to set it free. In which case they needed to prevent him from doing that. "I don't think he'll be much of a threat so long as it stays frozen. We should probably find a way so that we can stop him."

Scarlett would have bargained with the man, but she really wasn't in a mood to compromise. She waited extremely impatiently, tapping her foot and looking annoyed. Suddenly, Thomas was actually doing something productive. Thank gosh. Maybe Scarlett's rant actually knocked some sense into him. Finally, the old man pulled something out. Scarlett snatched it up with a sigh. "Well, sucks to be that guy doesn't it?"

Mizuki had, for quite a while now, stayed away from everyone else and kept silent. They were really starting to get on her nerves. Constantly squabbling and blabbing and making noise, the lot of them were just... too much. Mizuki wasn't used to dealing with people for such an extended period of time. If this kept up much longer, she would surely go mad.

And now they had to go search for random stuff. Apparently the military toffs couldn't organise a simple voyage, or even hire the labour to do so, and were now loading those tasks on them. While Mizuki was inclined to stab them right there and then, she decided that this was a good opportunity to get away from everyone.
As for splitting into teams, she wasn't going to humour that notion. She was going alone. She stalked off into the (er, idk?) 'place', not bothering to wait for the other people to decide what they were going to do. She was off to find some planks.

"Come again." Ferris waved the group goodbye, and evil smile on his face.

Astedia: Mountain Tops


​

The group went through the hills, and came across a Mountain Top on the map. It was sun rise now. We stood on the cliff, and in front of us, a giant tower of ice.

“Our last day…” Annika sighed.

“Our last hope…” Brietta sighed.

“Brietta! That’s it. Hopes eternal flame! What brings more hope than the dawn!” Annika smiled. “And the gem! See how the sun is shining on that block of ice. The Gem of ice has to be somewhere up there!”

“Everyone, get on your Pegasus.” Annika said. Annika and Aidan both hopped onto Brietta, and flew into the sky towards the gem.

"Well Silva, we need the sap to glue the boat together." Captain Candy gave her a bucket. "Fill this, it should be enough."

Mikuzi found a giant tree. Maybe Silva could get sap from here, then Mikuzi could cut it down.

Thea found a pile of rope, bound against a human skeleton.

“Oh I know! Come with me.” They walked down a path, down a cliff side and into a barren area around the beach. "The Mouse King turned me into a Nutcracker."


The Nutcracker and Alessia stopped by an old well. “There was an old well right here.” He said, clearing the rocks. “It looks like they boarded it all up.”

Suddenly, out from the well, hundreds, if not millions of tiny lights burst from the well. All flower fairies, and dancing in the sky.

“The Mouse King’s destroyed this valley, he must have trapped them in the well.”

They flew around Alessia.

“They say you’re beautiful.” The Nutcracker smiled.

The fairies flew around, restoring the grass and the flowers that were once in the valley, along with the strong trees. They twirled and flew.

 

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II, Everlue Mansion.

When the suggestion to break in came up he felt uneasy, he had hoped for a moraly better plan and was about to throw down the entire arguments regarding morality again when Vance of all people came up with a more sensible plan. It sounded like a good plan and while he didn't like Vance at all he had to give the man credit for coming up with it. "I'd be up for Vance's plan, if you all are up to it as well" Conrad said, hoping the others would agree, since his mind was still screaming at him for not speaking up about the breaking in part. He walked closer to Vance and whispered "I know neither of us like each other that much, but I got to give you credit for coming up with this plan and I'm honestly willing to help here." It didn't seem like a lot but it seemed like Vance did actually have a more reasonable side to him, maybe just maybe Vance would let people in in the future and come down from the pedestal he put himself on.

 

Alessia followed the Nutcracker down the cliffside path towards the beach. She strolled down quickly, following after the wooden Prince that she had teamed up with. He was strange company for sure, it wasn't often that she found herself in the company of a male, let alone a man turned Nutcracker. It wasn't that bad, she found. That said, not every man was a Prince. She thought about the people at the guild. Yeah, I'll be lucky to find anyone as polite as Eric here. Honestly, they're so brutish in comparison to him. That said, I don't think that Sapphire Eclipse is the right place for the gentlemanly. They had reached the bottom of the path and set off away from the beach. She hadn't noticed this before when she walked down. It looked like a little ravine in the cliff. They walked down it.
"He turned you into a Nutcracker then. So, how did he manage it? From what I've heard from people you didn't exactly go out to battle him and got defeated so, what happened?" She asked, curious. This served a dual purpose. To learn more about Eric and to uncover a little more information on the Mouse King that they were hearing so much about. He seems to be very powerful. I never knew that rodents could be powerful like that but it seems they can be. We need to be careful, unless we all want to end up as Nutcrackers. That's when the Nutcrakcers revealed the well and opened it up. She stepped back, surprised at the flood of fairies, little lights and their little dresses. They fluttered around excitedly, tinkling in their strange language that she couldn't at all understand.
"The Mouse King seems cruel. I don't understand him. What does he gain from all this, locking all of these little creatures away?" Alessia mused, watching all of them. They seemed to flit around her a while, darting around her on their tiny wings speaking their strange language. The Nutcracker translated for her. She flushed a little at the comment. I'm... Beautiful... Nobody has really said that to me. Thomas doesn't count because he addresses his silly advances to everyone in the room. "Um, thanks I guess. I never really, hear that. Thank you." She smiled at the fairies. She watched in wonder as the fairies regenerated the blasted landscape around her. Grass struggled up from the sandy, barren ground and leaves sprung into life from dying trees. It was like watching spring, compressing the months of development into but minutes as everything came to life around her. She almost forgot what they were even here for and why as she watched the life returning to the world around her.



"This at least, I'm glad we agree on, Conrad. You're not as blind to sense as I initially believed. There may be hope for you yet. Perhaps we may be able to work together in the future. Now then, let us see if we can get the others aboard. I have no love for this breaking in. It is far, far too crude for my tastes. An elaborate masquerade to hide a heist is preferable." Vance replied quietly. He understood that Conrad was trying to speak with some privacy, so he allowed that. After all, the man had just done him a favour by being reasonable about things. He wasn't quite sure that Conrad wasn't the weak peasant sympathiser he came across as, lacking in logic and reason, but perhaps he was wrong. It may be that the man was cunning, and wanted to put on a face. Now that would be impressive. I wonder, perhaps there is a requirement in the world for people like Conrad. I suppose there must be sympathisers, otherwise our workers and the others would simply reject a system that appears to hate them. Now this is an interesting consideration. "Very well, Conrad is in agreement. In my mind I have already come up with the required details for you to hear out the plan. It is quite simple. Malkira, you will act as our protector. We may need you if things with our duke turn ugly. It'll be acceptable for us to have a guardian with us and it seems to me that the large golem is the best candidate. Also, he is also the least well fit for the task of everyone else. We shall require the rest of you to pose as servants."

"You should be directed to some sort of serving hall where you may wait and entertain yourselves until our business is concluded. However, you won't have any need to do that. We'll be relying on you to steal this Daybreak book that we're here for. Aoki here will need to hide her face until you're in the hall so they don't recognise you- If they do spot you then they shall suspect foul play and the plan will go wrong. And Edric... I propose you pose as the coach since you drove us here. That means you'll be in charge of getting us out of here when we're done."

"I expect we'll be able to keep him occupied for thirty minutes to forty five minutes. If we were to choose this plan, do you believe you could complete the heist within that time?"

 

Everlue Mansion​

"I think that's a solid plain. Maybe you're not so bad after all." Zéphyrine's smiled, though she didn't know if she could really believe it. "We can do it. I'm sure of it."

“The Mouse King trapped me as I made my way out of the Kingdom. I was actually going to your world.” He explained. "The Mouse King was ruin to fall upon the land. That's all."


“I'm surprised you haven't heard it, they're not wrong.” The Nutcracker grinned softly, as he got the water out from the well.

The tree suddenly came to life. "What do you think you're doing!? Do you think you can just walk up to people and touch them like that there!? Have a little decency"


“Boo!” The Skeleton shouted a Thea, then he started to laugh, and out of the mouth of the skeleton, another bit of rope came out.

Jack's pov: "Ok, you can go alone" he called after Silvia. "No one wants me around or everyone is mad at me for some reason or another." He didn't know if Silvia could here the last part he said. (Or anyone else who is around) He walked up to the sap/tree area ready to help were he was needed.
